About this house rental

The house is perfect for business travel, with three master suites each with an empty dresser and closet. We love young families and we want to supply what we can to make your travel easier. (Want more of our story? Find us on a popular sharing site “gram” under: sweettallyairbnb).

Each guest is provided a unique access code for the door. For security reasons, this code is provided on check-in day.

OUTDOOR PARADISE_____with multiple decks, lights, and a treehouse. The 1-acre lot is private with a thin grove of trees on each side, but it's not completely secluded. We have neighbors, and we ask that you observe quiet hours after 10pm. Music should never be loud enough to disturb the neighbors.

THE HOUSE____is clean and charming, but rustic with vintage tile and original windows. We fell in love with it and wanted to share it with others when our family outgrew the space. The custom-built kitchen is stocked with the basics - just add food.

Please note that our insurance does not permit us to have pets/animals on the premises. We maintain an ADT security system, and each guest is given a temporary code for their stay. We have never had cause for concern, but we use this to monitor the property between guests. For the same reason, we also have the Ring video doorbell system set up at our front and back doors. We turn off all notifications once we are notified that guests have arrived, and we turn them back on around check-out.

We love children! Upon request, we can provide a pack-and-play, a high chair, and a few toys.

We had a fantastic stay at Tara's home for our daughter's graduation! The location was perfect, just a short drive to the university. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed. Tara, the host, was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed the cozy outdoor area for our family/friends gathering. Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Tallahassee!

We were there for a graduation. Location was very convenient to grocery stores and parks and minutes from the graduation. Kitchen was well stocked so I had everything I needed to bake a cake and make breakfast. Outdoor area is absolutely perfect for a small family gathering. Lots of nice touches for people Of all ages, fun games and toys. We had a wonderful time.

The cottage was wonderful. It had everything we needed. Loved that all three bedrooms had their own bathrooms for all of the adults we had with us. Tara even set up the extra bed that we needed before we got there. The outside area was wonderful. The younger and older kids (college age) loved playing outside. I would suggest a toaster for the kitchen that is it.

Our extended family stayed at the house to attend our daughter's wedding. The cottage is absolutely adorable. We were able to use the outdoor space for breakfast the morning after the wedding. I hope we will be able to stay there on our future trips to Tallahassee. thank you

We stayed for 11 nights between Christmas and New Years. It was the first time our families had gotten all together in quite a while (4 couples and 3 small children). The back yard was great for the kids to play and for the adults to gather around the fire to catch up with one another. We cooked a LOT, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Tara, the owner, was great to work with.

It was a really cool property. Spacious outdoors. We had friends over for Thanksgiving and it was perfect. Had a nice fire going. Very close to stores but hidden a block away in the woods. Easy trip to FSU campus. There were some furry guests around (outside cats) that seemed to live on the property. They were very nice and entertaining. Overall a really great place.

We had a great stay at this house. The backyard is fantastic. We had an 80th birthday party there with family. There were 12 of us during the day and 9 at night. We set up a bunch of yard games and had plenty of room. The large backyard table was perfect as were the lights and firepit. Great ambience. The house was super cute with fun decorations. The three bathrooms were nice, and there was room for us all to sit around the TV and play Jackbox games in the evening. Great stay!

This is a lovely older home with lots of character. The home is welcoming and comfortable. It was very clean, and we had no issues. We were only there for one night, so we didn't take advantage of the beautiful backyard. The only negative was the busy road. The house sits off the road, but it was still a challenge turning in and out of the driveway. The traffic died down around 11 p.m., and the night was quiet, but the day time traffic was too loud for our comfort.

This property worked perfectly for us, I wish we could have stayed an extra night. It is a lovely place to meet up with friends or family. If you enjoy a nice outdoor space, some privacy and a pretty cottage this property is wonderful. It’s also not to far from colleges.

We loved this property so much! There was plenty of room for our family of 6, with each of the 3 bedrooms having their own en-suite bathroom. Kitchen is well-equipped with lots of counter space. Location is ideal for spending time in Tallahassee and is within reach of the beach, as well. Owner is very responsive, and kindly provided some beach gear for us since we were flying in and couldn't bring it all with us. Large living room and additional playroom had plenty of seating and things to do. House was very clean and has a large backyard. We'd definitely stay again!

A great place to get refreshed and prepared for race day. Loved having the individual bedrooms for the kids and all the kitchen amenities for healthy meal preparation for race weekend. The whole house was well stocked and we loved the extras like the ice bag in the freezer, extra creamer, even a couple snacks. We had everything we needed. Thank you again.

Every detail was accounted for at this comfy cabin. The owner was very responsive and we loved our stay. The treehouse was so fun to hang out in and the Camellias were blooming, so the whole backyard was just a really pleasant environment. The kitchen is completely stocked with every utensil and pan that you might need. So close to everything and a straight shot to the capitol building's parking lot in less than 13 minutes,

From booking the trip, to locking the door upon leaving, every step along the way was efficient, accurate, and amazing. Pictures of the property and description was spot on and even better than expected. Tara was in constant communication and made sure we felt welcome in the home, and even left some wonderful sticker FSU tattoos for my sons after a wonderful first trip to Doak. Truly recommend staying in this property if available and fits your needs, as I will for future trips!

The property was just as described. Many nice extra touches and very easy check in & out. Communication was a breeze with quick responses & all the info for a pleasant stay including a list of places to eat & have deliveries. The property is a short distance to a Walmart & just a bit further for several restaurants and other businesses. Overall it was a very nice time. Sitting in the back yard was a joy and can only imagine how much nicer it would have been in cooler weather!!

My family had a wonderful stay at Tara’s house over Mother’s Day weekend. The house is adorable, so nicely appointed, and has a great backyard. There is so much space, a long table for gathering, and the string lights make it perfect. We had everything we needed to enjoy special time with our Mom. We wanted a quiet place near Lake Jackson where we could cook and relax and that’s just what we got! Tara was wonderful, too, very responsive and accommodating of our requests, and just made us feel so welcome. We are already thinking of making it an annual retreat ❤️

This place was the best, way more comfortable than a hotel and it was adorable. I think everyone said ‘we want this house’ at least 3-4 times each! The yard is beautiful and the house is charming, set back so you don’t even feel like you have neighbors! We’d stay again in a heartbeat. Tara was also amazing and had personable touches that made my day!

The photos and description of the property did not disappoint. We travelled as a family of four so the three bedrooms with three baths was perfect. The cottage is well appointed. The owners have literally thought of everything. We arrived very late so having eggs and butter and a few necessities on hand were a lifesaver that first morning. We would definitely go back to this property. It is conveniently located in the city of Tallahassee. The Wal-Mart was minutes away and we were only about 15 minutes from FSU. The propert owner, Tara, was lovely to deal and very helpful.

We needed to attend a wedding and booked this for 4 nights. What a great find. Old house that has been totally upgraded and ready to be lived in. Modern... everything, and Tara even had healthy snacks, Brita filtered water, eggs, and butter stocked for us. With a Roku, air purifier, comfy furniture, and a fire pit out back with lights and chairs, we felt right at home. 3 minutes to I-10 and 30+ restaurants close by. Looking forward to coming back just to do some foodie tours.
