About this villa rental
Our family villa has a large mature garden with shaded patios and seating areas, as well as a lovely pool protected from view by a well established flowering hibiscus hedge. The villa is situated half way up a gentle rise from the sea to Chlorakas village, so a gentle breeze shields you from the heat of the day. It was built when only a small area of the plot could be used and so gives a wonderful sense of space and peace.
Chlorakas village has retained its traditional style with a wonderful church at its centre, a number of friendly tavernas, as well as more modern bars, all within easy walking distance of the villa. The sea is a 10 minute walk away and the beautiful sandy beaches of Coral Bay and the Akamas Peninsular, a short drive or bus ride away.
The villa is spacious and well equipped with Internet access, with a TV and Minix box that allows you to access UK TV and a large range of films and TV series.. There is also a radio/ CD player and a variety of games. We for years did not include a TV as our own boys after some resistance really enjoyed playing games! The living room is large and has two sets of sliding French windows that open onto a large patio, well shaded by grapevine and bougainvilia. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well designed for comfort and privacy as they are separated from the living room with wooden sliding doors, making it possible during the hot summer months, to keep them cool whilst still being able to move freely from the lounge to the patio.
The kitchen is well equipped and now also has a dishwasher included. There is a round wooden table with 4 chairs should you want to eat inside at any time during your stay. The adjoining utility room with separate sliding door, houses a washing machine, an ironing board and iron, the barbecue equipment and also a large cupboard full of adult and child beach and pool toys for your enjoyment. There is a table tennis table outside with its own paved area and the barbecue is built in under a raised flowerbed which boasts 4 orange trees.
Our villa is well maintained by our agent Diana whose cleaning is second to none, and Marius looks after both the pool and the garden and so keeps a close eye on both! Our large garden provides many seating areas, spectacular views of the sea, shade when needed and plenty of sunbathing opportunities.

Lizard Rock is an amazing villa with beautiful grounds and a super pool. Lovely coastal walks in the surrounding area and an easy walk into the small local village. A throughly relaxing place to stay. This was our 3rd stay and we’ll be back next year! The host employs some fabulous people to maintain the property and to ensure her guests have everything they need. Highly recommended. Gill Allison

A well maintained villa in a quiet location with a lovely mature garden offering shade throughout the day. The pool was ideal and spotless with the water quality very good. Overall a perfect villa for a family holiday with everything that you would need for your stay. Bus routes and various cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance but we hired a car to explore other areas too.

We arrived in the early hours of the morning which was not a problem as everything was ready for us on arrival. We were able to let ourselves into the villa and were welcomed with a lovely message and necessities for the morning. The bottle of wine was most appreciated.
Also Diana, the agent looked after us well and was always on hand when needed. She was very informative on where to visit and the local amenities.
It is a short bus ride into the centre of Paphos or as we preferred you can visit the local taverns and eateries in Chlorakas for the authentic Cypriot experience.
The garden of the villa is beautiful, secluded and well looked after. We would not hesitate to stay at Lizard Rock again. Thank you Diana and Viv for a lovey stay.

The garden was absolutely beautiful, a very relaxing place to chill. Great position with lovely views and great bus service to Paphos and Coral Bay. The villa had everything we needed and the pool was very clean and a good size.

This spacious villa ticked all our boxes. Great location for our needs. The villa was extremely well equipped with a lovely welcome pack. Superb grounds and all well managed by Marius and Diana. Within walking distance of the village centre with a variety of kiosks, bars and takeaways. Would highly recommend The Local for bingo or quiz or Sunday roast. Also fabulous view of the sunset while sitting on the veranda. Would definitely stay again when returning to Paphos.
The only downside is a huge tree behind the villa which secretes a sticky sap which covered the side paths! Making it basically unusable to come down the right side of the villa without getting leaves stuck firmly on your feet. Apparently this happens in September!
But all in all fabulous stay x

This is a good sized property and was perfect for our family of 5. The outdoor area is very well maintained and the pool was lovely and clean. The table tennis table was a lovely addition too! The manager, Diana was very helpful and responded straight away when we had a query. Our only negative comment is the main living area and kitchen do not have air conditioning and were extremely hot in August. I'm sure at other times of the year this would not be a problem and the bedrooms were nice and cool.

What a lovely way to spend two weeks!!
Probably one of the best villas we have stayed in in terms of facilities, layout and view
A hire car is definitely recommended to make the most of your holiday and we spent a lot of time travelling around Troodos mountains, aphrodites rock,Omordos,Kourion and over to Latchi where we hired our own boat to visit the Blue Lagoon ( go early avoid the big boats)
Plenty of restaurant choices we only ate at Paphos harbour twice preferring Oniro by the sea and the highly recommended Michios tavern just a short walk from the villa - they only open Friday and Saturday but a fantastic meze
And at the end of every adventure Lizard Rock awaits
A spectacular pool , gorgeous gardens and comfortable beds , didn’t have time to read but a great book selection, game selection and a tv if that takes your fancy but we enjoyed nothing better than watching the sunset each evening while sat in the gardens
Thanks Viv

Fabulous villa
This villa is amazing. The garden and pool area is delightful; much thought has been given to the landscaping which is truly beautiful. The villa itself is very well laid out and extremely well equipped. We loved the spacious lay out and, for 2 couples, it allowed a great deal of privacy as the double bedrooms are at opposite ends of the villa with, essentially, en suite facilities for each couple. The villa is well located; an easy 5 minute stroll takes you into the local village where there are bars, tavernas and some shops. We often walked into Pathos along the beautiful coastline, it takes about an hour and a half, rewarding ourselves with brunch in one of the many fabulous eateries. There is a frequent and inexpensive bus service back to the villa from Pathos. Diana, who looks after the villa, does a great job, she is very friendly and readily available if there are any issues. The owner and manager ensure that all the essentials are all in place for their guests, for example, there was plenty of washing powder, dishwasher tablets, cleaning products, herbs, spices, tea, etc left for our use which was very much appreciated as was the very generous welcome pack. We would not hestitate to recommend this fabulous property.

Return Visit
We have stayed at the villa four times now, although there has been a gap between our last visit and this one.
The alterations to the bathrooms was lovely but not much else had changed. Still a lovely quiet location which was much appreciated considering the amount of building that is happening in Cyprus.
The only thing I would mention is that there were a lot of things falling out of the grapevine that bit us constantly.
Overall we had a lovely three weeks at the villa, and thank you Viv for allowing us to stay there again.

A beautiful villa to relax in the sun!
This is my third visit to this stunning well appointed villa, within large beautifully maintained mature gardens planted with a wide range of plants and flowering shrubs. There are three good size double bedrooms with two recently refurbished bathrooms. There is a good size pool which is always kept clean. The location up the hill provides stunning views over the sea with a specially located sitting area to make the most of this. It is only a short walk to the centre of Chlorakas, which has just undergone major improvement and where there are good restaurants, in particular the family run, Famagusta and an excellent take away with a good range of kebabs. The local supermarket is now open 24 hours on Saturdays, to accommodate arrival at all times. Chlorakas has several festivals, churches and an open air theatre. It is a short drive to many beautiful beaches, historic sites and other locations. I look forward to returning in the future.

We have just come back from a 2 week holiday in Cyprus. On arrival we had a much appreciated welcome pack which was perfect as we had a late flight. The villa was brilliant, beautifully clean with a fantastic patio area overlooking the pool. We found it really comfortable and perfectly equipped for our 2 week stay with plenty of games to play whilst sitting under the vines on the patio. The villa is really well located to supermarkets, beaches and restaurants. The garden is a real oasis, we had many happy days relaxing by the pool, playing table tennis and generally watching the wildlife. When we weren’t swimming we loved going for little nature hunts around the garden. This our 3rd visit and can’t recommend it enough. We love the island and would definitely recommend renting a 4x4 car. A few days were spent out and about, Turtle bay (Akamas Peninsular) was probably our favourite as we were lucky enough to see a baby turtle being released into the sea. Viklari was absolutely amazing and the best BBQ on the island and Latchi a real highlight. Agios Georgios is still a favourite place for a Keo watching the sun go down.Highly recommended and the owners were really friendly and helpful!

Great villa, perfect for relaxing
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Lizard Rock. The garden, pool & patio area are really beautiful and private and the terrace is great. Diana for the cleaning & linen change and Andy for the pool did a splendid job and were very helpful. There's a number of decent restaurants within 20 mins walk (Caravelle, Sienna & Famagusta were our favourites) and a very good bus service between Paphos & Coral Bay just 10 mins walk down the hill. Will certainly consider coming back.

I can't recommend Lizard Rock Villa highly enough. It was literally a little corner of paradise. The villa itself is well appointed, spotlessly clean and beautifully cool. The weather was amazing and perfect for relaxing by the pool, lizard watching, playing table tennis, boules or cooking a delicious lunch on the bbq which we ate on the terrace overlooking the sea. The gardens are stunning and filled with fruit trees and bushes - oranges, lemons, grape vines, mango... The smell in the garden is heady and floral. The villa looks directly west which means we watched the sun set and sink away. Just incredible. It is well placed for Coral Bay with it's white sandy beach and azure waters, Pathos which has a harbour full of restaurants and ice cream parlours plus a new large shopping mall, the Troodos Mountains and numerous vineyards and historic sights. Very much hoping to go again next year!

We arrived at Lizard Rock excited to begin our holiday, when we walked in the villa we were really happy as everything was lovely. The villa is like home from home, everything you need is there. When you arrive there is a welcome pack which included things like water, milk, bread, jam etc (I cannot remember everything) but everything included was exactly what we needed. This villa is very spacious inside the bedrooms are all lovely, the kitchen has all the equipment you need from a bottle opener to equipment to cook a lovely meal for the family. In my opinion the gem of this villa is the outside area, when you open the patio doors and walk outside it is absolutely beautiful. There is a large patio area where you can enjoy eating outside and several areas around the property where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The garden is so interesting, I spent ages walking around and looking at the different plants and flowers and fruit hanging on the trees. The swimming pool is a good size and kept beautifully clean, which makes it very inviting ! There are plenty of chairs and sun beds outside and around the pool. The table tennis provided lots of fun for our family and a great idea to add some entertainment to the outside area. The villa is called lizard rock for a reason, there are little lizards (I don't know the correct names for them) in the garden. You may be lucky enough to see one sunbathing on a rock or on the side of the house. There are two tiny ones that live on the side of the villa near the kitchen, they come out at night. They just sit on the wall in the evening and became part of the holiday and we always looked out for them. I was a little weiry of them to start with but then i realised they are not interested in me and as with garden creatures at home they run away if you go near them. Once i became comfortable around them i enjoyed seeing them whenever i had the opportunity. The villa is only a few miles away from Coral Bay, there are many places to visit and also to eat out. I could write all day about places we went and places we ate at, but i think that discovering places yourself is part of the fun of a holiday.Lastly, the owner Viv and her team are very friendly and helpful, when they come in to tend the pool/ garden/ villa, they are very discreet so not to disturb you.I hope this helps you make the decision to visit Lizard Rock as it is a beautiful place to spend your holiday

Lizard Rock
We have been to Lizard Rock three times now and each time it gets better! I can't highlight just one thing about this villa because everything is great. The location, the accommodation, the facilities are all first class, everything you need to have a relaxing holiday. Will definitely be booking again.

Gorgeous, relaxing, beautiful!
We stayed at Lizard Rock when we were visiting Paphos for a family wedding. I was 5 months pregnant and needed some rest and relaxation! Lizard Rock could not have been more perfect.
The house is a great, calming space and the garden is totally beautiful. It has been planted and landscaped with so much attention to detail. The pool was my absolute highlight, and I could have quite happily spent the whole holiday in there! The table tennis and outdoor BBQ kept us occupied too!
We had some great days out to local beaches (Lara being a favourite) and restaurants. Hiring a speedboat in Latchi was another great day out.
There are lots of leaflets and information about local attractions in the house, with guest books full of lots of suggestions of great days out had by other visitors.
I would absolutely recommend Lizard Rock to couples, families and groups of friends wanting a relaxing, gorgeous holiday!

Perfect!
We spent our honeymoon at Lizard Rock and it was an absolutely perfect fortnight. The villa itself is spacious and spotlessly clean, but the garden is what makes it so special. The pool is lovely and the owners have clearly spent a lot of time on the garden- it has so many different areas to sit in, beautiful plants and a brilliant BBQ area. It is also totally peaceful and private which is difficult to find in many villas. We spent almost all of our time at the villa outside making the most of the views and the garden. The village itself is lovely- there is a fantastic taverna called The Famagusta 5 minutes' walk away, with an extremely friendly owner. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas too- make sure you visit Turtle Beach and the Troodos Mountains. We hope to visit again one day as it really was the best holiday we have ever had. Christine who manages the villa was extremely helpful and provided us with lots of useful information about the surrounding area. All in all it was an absolutely perfect break and we would highly recommend the villa to anyone looking for peaceful accommodation in a great location.
