You will feel at home in this cozy new duplex that is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood that has private areas, great neighbors, and a great location. Walking distance to downtown and a park. Our home also includes comfortable beds with a king size tempur-pedic bed in the master bedroom with adjoining master bathroom, double sinks and new shower heads. More information The space This property was the 4th house built in Alamosa in 1881 on 400 acres. The original home had to be torn down because of structural issues. This new home was rebuilt as an investment property, and thought this would make a perfect family vacation rental due to it's location being so conveniently located near downtown and Cole Park, where there are several great events held. This would also make a great home for individuals coming in for meetings or training since we are conveniently located close to Adams State University and the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center. Our home is also located 2 blocks from the Rio Grande River, Rio Grande Scenic Railroad, two brewery's, one includes the Roast Craft Coffee Shop, and lots of other great restaurants and shops.

This property was PERFECT for 2 couples dropping off our college kids. The location is so close to great food, and awesome coffee. It was so clean and has a massive garage with game tables and stuff if you traveled with a baby. It’s incredibly quiet. We will stay here again. They were so thoughtful having snacks which was perfect. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. Check in was fast and easy. The bathrooms are well stocked. The pictures need to be updated since this property looks much better in person. I hesitated writing such a great review because Im not sure how many awesome properties there are like this in such a tiny town. I’d love to keep this secret to myself, but sharing is caring! Enjoy your stay.

The home was very comfortable and cozy, with room for all of us to relax. The boys loved that they had snacks available when we got there because after a 4-hour drive they were hungry. The fact that the property was pet friendly saved our vacation because our dog sitter flaked on us and it was great to be able to bring our pup and being able to make that decision at the last minute. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we would rent there again.

We frequently visit Alamosa and found this to be the best stay we’ve found. Lots of towels and washcloths, facial tissue and toilet paper takes excellent care of the basics. Well stocked kitchen and laundry are great for a lengthy stay. Access to garage and games put this place at the top of our list!

Visiting Alamosa CO in the summer is just about perfect. Staying in this sunny, cheerful well appointed home topped off a delightful visit. The location is great. A short walk to downtown shops, super close to a James Beard nominated restaurant called Friar’s Fork. The walkability can’t be beat. The neighborhood was quiet. Any and everything you might need to be comfortable has been thought of and is right there in the house. Nice linens on the beds and comfy living room furniture. We live over a thousand miles away from Alamosa but we’ll be back!

Had a great time in this peaceful little location with great, comfortable rooms, very clean, and everything we needed. The kids had a blast in the garage with the game tables too, that was a huge bonus for thwm especially! The welcome basket was so helpful for our stay and a fun surprise. Thanks for a great place to stay! Would definitely recommend.

This was a great place for your family to meet. The host and caretaker were wonderful to work with. They had a goodie basket and even a garage to park our car. Nothing was lacking.

The house where I stayed is close to restaurants, parks & a bookstore. The property was very clean & has a full kitchen .It has three bedrooms, two. baths and a washer and drier There is a surprising amount of wildlife in Alamosa. I saw three Mule deer from the front porch of the house. I had a great time.

Worked perfectly for the 5 of us. Great location for going to the sand dunes - I can't imagine there are many that are closer since it's mostly open land for miles closer to the park. Walkable to restaurants and stores. Very cool older area. House was super clean and comfortable!

We stayed for a quick weekend (4 adults, one toddler, and dogs) to check out the Great Sand Dunes and the house was exactly what we needed and more. The house is even better than the pictures indicate, and has all sorts of nice touches like snacks, bottled water, a high chair, etc. Fairly spacious and with a huge garage. Beyond expectations!!

This place was so accessible to beautiful downtown! Just a few blocks from the park, river and restaurants. So clean and comfortable. We traveled with a toddler, a small child and a teenager and this house provided something for everyone. From snacks to games. We enjoyed ourselves and loved that we could cook our own meals! ♡

We had a great stay... The property is in a nice neighborhood.... only a few blocks from a nice park and the Rio Grande river. The property is loaded with all the amenities. We stayed nine days and prepared and ate all our meals at the house... I would recommend this property to everyone

We have used VRBO multiple times staying from Florida to Hawaii. This unit was one of the cleanest we have stayed in over the years. Everything about it was nice from the layout to the multiple choices in Keurig coffees. We enjoyed being able to walk downtown. We loved having the big garage to park out vehicle. We go to Alamosa a lot to visit family and we will definitely work to stay at this location first!!

We had a great time staying in Alamosa! The vrbo owners were extremely responsive and accommodating! Everything was clean and even with a snow storm coming our family enjoyed just hanging out at home and playing games and watching tv!

I enjoyed my stay 0, the only things I have to say is the handle for the washer was broken but still usable and the dryer makes some pretty scary noises when starting but it also worked just fine.

Lovely home in a great location! Property was extremely clean and well stocked for an extended stay. Snacks and water bottles were a welcoming touch. Parks and open space were a minute walk away and easy drive/walk to good bars and restaurants. It was really nice to have garage access. Very comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay in your home. The location was great! We were within walking distance of Cole Park, to walk our dog. We also walked to San Luis Valley Brewing for dinner. The home was clean and had everything we needed, including bottled water, a few beers, and plenty of snacks. We liked that we could park our vehicle in the garage. We also enjoyed a few games on the foosball table, after our days sandboarding at Great Sand Dunes NP, hiking at Zapata Falls & North Crestone Lake trail. The North Crestone Lake trail was a highlight, as the aspens were in peak fall color. Gorgeous!

The house is clean and good size. The owner left bottles of water in the fridge and snacks on the counter. There is a well loved air hockey table a well used football table in the garage. My son and I had fun to playing between trips to surve the dunes. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy but we never had a problem and for two or more guys the house and location were perfect. So I would definitely rent here again.

Great location near downtown Alamosa and walking distance to a park that our kids enjoyed. Property was perfect for our family and dog. We had everything we needed and the place was very clean. I would stay again and recommend property to others visiting the area.

Sand dunes home base

We enjoyed the house and the sand dunes. The boys really enjoyed the air hockey table in the garage and we really appreciated being able to park the car inside with the wind. Local eats were good, but with Covid many were closed and Rubi slipper did not do takeaway, which surprised us. Kevin got back to us quickly with questions we asked. We had a great trip and can't wait til our next sand dunes adventure.
