It was a real retreat. After visiting all the beauty in the surroundings (most highlights are 30-60 min away), we were so comfortable getting back to this tranquil place. The beds are in a trullo so comfortably cool and the veranda has an astonishing relaxing view over a valley. It’s hard not to enjoy this place. The pool is big enough and refreshing. The olive trees and almond trees around the place are a pleasant sight and adding to the Puglia experience.
Even though the kitchen is well equipped the oven is so-so. It works, but probably won’t last for long.
The neighbour cats are very demanding and cheeky. If you’re not into dogs, the gentle and sweet dog would be impressive. Even though she knows how to keep a respectable distance.

If you’re looking for calm, serenity and authenticity, trullo Badessa is the right place! Offering a picturesque view on gorgeous natural reserve of Apulia, the trullo is standing on a little hill among the olive trees. It is spacious, renovated, equipped with all the modern facilities inside as well as outside. WiFi is functional.
We enjoyed both the shadow on the covered terrace and the sun on the swimming pool area. Pool is regularly controlled and cleaned! Not very big, it is nevertheless enough to get refreshed and have fun.
Badessa is situated 10 minutes drive from the village of Alberobello, known for its trullos site. Charming little towns Locorotondo and Martina Franca are as well of an easy reach. So, car is a must.
Special thanks to Massimo and Leandro for being so helpful and efficient to solve the problem of electricity due to heavy rainstorm. We also appreciate the warm welcome and availability of Antonella for whatever questions. Pasta master class at home, given by restaurant owners, was a lot of fun! Wine from the region , a bottle of olive oil and different kinds of local delicacies were generously offered us on arrival! Thank you, for all your assistance and attention, that made us enjoy our holidays!
Highly recommend!
