Myself, husband, and kids stayed for 4 days in the heat of summer. There's no ac (we knew that already when we booked) so it works fine if you plan on being out enjoying the lakes during the day, which we did. I'd suggest having 1 or 2 more fans available for air flow. It was already pretty uncomfortably warm inside by 9am and another fan would make sleeping more comfortable.
My only real complaint would be pet hair on all the furniture. We didn't feel comfortable sitting on the sofa or widow seat because of so much pet hair.
My youngest daughter really loved all the decorative items around, especially the old fashioned phone. She declared it must be a grandma's house because it reminds her of her grandma and grandma's love cats. Lol!
Overall, it was simple, cute, and I would stay here again.

My husband and I really needed a place to recharge during our road trip, and this old-style cabin/home had everything we needed. Books, games, a record player, a bath tub, comfortable furniture, wildlife and more. It was exactly what we were hoping for. Thank you for such a peaceful and relaxing stay!

Absolutely beautiful location and great amenities in the home! We've visited multiple times and always had a wonderful stay.

Overall great stay! Price was great. The furniture and dishwasher could use some updating but the place was clean and had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable.

I spent 45% of my stay in a cabin with no heat. I had to cancel my plans while waiting for a solution to solve the problem. I spent 2-3 hours on hold over the first day (multiple calls) trying to get this issue resolved. Since then, there's been no response or support from either Vacasa or VRBO to provide a credit or even get back to me regarding their plan for support.

Over all very well stay , everything is clean and very very good , we had a good stay..

We had a wonderful stay at the Davis Classic over Thanksgiving. The cabin was warm, sunny, and extremely clean. We loved how well-resourced the kitchen was, especially since we cooked a big Thanksgiving meal. Our only comment for improvement is that the shower/sinks did not get very hot, which made it difficult to take showers. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to come back one day.

We had a lot of fun getting away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. I recommend this rental to anyone looking to destress and take some time to slow things down. Bonus points for the record collection!

Location was central to many highway 4 attractions. Plenty of parking. For the price, the utensils were adequate but not fancy.
We were very upset the cable TV was not working properly. We called support but they were not able to fix it. We were really looking forward to watching the NBA Playoffs.
It actually snowed while we were there! We’re worried about getting out but the lower came by to clear the road.

Location is a bit secluded which was nice. Perfect size for our family of 4. The 3 star review is more about Vacasa then the cabin itself. The house was not well stocked - only 1 wine glasse, no dish towels or cooking oil. It seems this is the norm for Vacasa so I will just come better prepared if booking through them again.
Also, on our 2nd night, there was beeping noise coming from the attic all night which made it difficult to sleep. I called Vacasa and they said they would send someone out and never did. The 3rd night I ended up sleeping downstairs to get some shuteye and shared a queen bed with my two teens. Very squished. Ha!
That said, for the price it was a decent stay.

Davis cabin is very comfortable and laid out very nicely. I would stay here again now that I ‘know’ the house and I know what to bring.
The beds are comfortable, and it’s nice to have two bathrooms. The kitchen is packed with every pot and pan and utensil you would need. Here’s a list of things you would need to bring and know about the property:
1. Bring your own coffee filters.
2. Bring your own dish towels.
3. Bring your own salt and pepper.
4. Bring your own foil and plastic wrap if you think you’ll need it.
5. Don’t expect to watch TV.
6. Bring earplugs if it is windy because of the squeaky whirlybirds.
7. Don’t plan on watching TV. There are six remotes and we couldn’t get any of them to work. One did turn on the TV but we could not find any channels or apps. There are no instructions how to use the TV. There are a ton of games if you need some family time.
8. The thermostat for the gas fireplace does not work. The instructions say the only way to use the fireplace is through the thermostat. There is a switch on the back of the gas fireplace that you will need to turn on and off. After one hour we switched it off and the house stayed warm until the next morning.
If you hear a squeaking noise off and on, it is the whirlybirds on the roof. If you are a light sleeper, you may not want to take the upper bedroom.
We heard some leave crunching outside our window one evening and looked out to see some deer feeding just below. This area is very quiet and very peaceful and I would recommend it to friends and family.

Arnold Vacation
Great house, beautiful setting, relaxing stay

Property was great BUT having several feet of snow with no shovel was a most difficult exit. Tried to "check-out" but NO ONE answered any cell phone calls and the cabin internet was "Down" as well as AT&T
Also someone should have mentioned that there was over three dozen steps to enter the cabin level

I loved the getaway cabin here a few things I would of liked better couch was stained the pillows were fried both were in dire need of replacement. The kitchen needed some cupboards that were empty and available for the quest groceries. The shower faucet head desperately needed to be replaced so when turned on and then entering won’t shoot right in your face and all over the floor. Showerneeds a shelf to put shampoo and soap on. The shower felt slippery to me. Slip proof decals would be a really good idea! Great cabin! It was nice to get away. The phone reception was concerning to me....

Cabin was in a great location to get to all that Arnold, Murphys, and Angels Camp have to offer. Plenty of space for a group of 4-6.

This cabin was very clean. It needs a few more kitchen towels, but other than that everything you need was there.
We really enjoyed taking our two dogs with us. It is difficult to find a pet friendly property. There is even a little pet potty area.
Our visit was greatly enjoyed. BTW the WIFI was amazing. My 13 year old daughter was able to attend all of her online school classes.

Upon arrival the location seemed nice and its was easy checking in. It even looked liked nice at first glance. I knew there was no AC and the place was really hot and stuffy. We opened the place up but it didn’t cool down well and it was a miserable nights sleep. The screen For the back door was broken, the windows and screens dirty, the fans were filthy dirty and we had to clean them. Though there were a lot of fun things about the home they were all broken! Tons of records but the record player speaker was shot. Tons of VHS videos, but the VHS player didn’t work well and couldn’t eject the cassette. The sheets on the bed were stained and we ended up washing them. We felt the need to wash everything before using it in the kitchen as well. Wouldn’t stay there or recommend it. Had an awful experience with Vacassa before and didn’t notice that they were the company overseeing it. Would love my money back but I’m sure they would not honor that. Would have been cleaner, cooler, and more comfortable camping (which we should have done looking back).

The property is at the end of a cul-de-sac, which means it was very quiet and secluded. It fit our small family well and we enjoyed our time there. But if your going with more people (like 2 couples) , there may be some issues. There is only 1 shower, which was a little small. The upstairs bed is in a loft, so privacy is limited. The blow dryer didn't work. Also the cabin is not close to the highway and phone reception was limited. So make sure you have directions to get there that doesn't rely on internet, or you can get lost in the inside streets (lots of winding roads) . Otherwise, the cabin was as described and clean.

A Lot of Steps
Very nice property. My only dislike is there are a lot of steps, and some are uneven, to get from parking at street level to the unit. Also the lighting could be brighter along the entirety of the steps.

Awesome
Exceeds my expectations and it feels like an extension of home. I would consider this place again in the near future! Thank you very much.

We loved the comfortable space, the games and the access to nearby recreation.
The stove/oven nobs need updating as it was difficult to tell if the oven was on or off.

It was not a great experience because I have to clean the place.
we did not leave it messy of filthy, but we have top clean the premises. We told you that ee are bring a handicap person and there was no access to the building, but steps the person have to slowly walk.
why is there an owners fee? it was too much and to clean at the same time
