About this house rental
Recently restored, this modern Victorian home in Downtown Jefferson City will swoon you with its 1800's charm. This home has 3 private rooms. This listing is for the lower level suite. This suite includes a private bedroom, bathroom, and living room. The three rooms share the entryway, dining room, and kitchen/laundry room. This suite boasts 11ft ceilings, original woodwork, grand pocket doors, and 2 (non-functional) fireplaces. Gleaming hardwood floors throughout and marble tile shower.
Our space is truly unique, we restored this building in the summer of 2018 and added modern finishes. Upon entering, you will be wowed by our original hardwood flooring and intricate woodwork. We take pride in featuring artwork provided by local artists. The images on our walls are pictures from Jefferson City dating back to the 1800's.
This room has a 50" smart television equipped with all the apps and a Netflix account provided. We also have local channels. We offer 100mb wifi for all your streaming and work needs. Smart tables in each room provide a place to plug in your cell phone/tablet/computer.
All linens are provided including extra blankets. The hallway closet is equipped with everything you may need while traveling. All rooms have their own thermostat to control heat/ac preferences.
We have provided a concierge book for all things Jefferson City. Information about our favorite restaurants, activities, date nights, and family fun is provided. If you can't find what you are looking for just ask! We love to share more information about our historical and beautiful city.
We do allow individuals to rent for longer stays, please note the discount on weekly and monthly bookings.
We have partnered with a local restaurant/meal prep service, Love to Nourish. They will provide healthy meals to our guests based on their dietary needs. Guests have access to their private rooms/suites all entry/exit doors and the main dining room and kitchen/laundry. There are 3 rooms total in this building, each room has access to the dining room, kitchen, and laundry.
The dining room has a table to enjoy meals, games, or a glass of wine. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cooking, and serving ware. Enjoy marble counter-tops and stainless steel appliances including refrigerator, oven/stove, dishwasher, and microwave. Tea kettle and Keurig is also provided. We include snacks, water, K-cups, and tea on hand for quick meals. The kitchen also features a front load washer and dryer.
All rooms have coded exterior locks for utmost privacy. This home/room is private. Our hope is that you have the opportunity to share a meal, laugh, or story with another guest while visiting this home.
We give our guests the space they need, we do come onsite to make sure common areas are clean daily. We want to make sure our guest experiences are perfect, please let us know how to best accommodate you.
We are located in Downtown Jefferson City, approximately 4 blocks from the Capitol. The surrounding buildings on our block are mostly offices, this is the commercial district. We do have a tea room across the street, and you are within a block of restaurants and a locally sourced grocery store. Our guests enjoy our proximately to food and entertainment. We also have a bike share program downtown, Spin, feel free to rent a bike and hope on the Katy trail which is approximately a mile from our building.
Public transit, uber, bike rentals
This is our second restored building from the 1800's in Downtown Jefferson City. We have managed short-term rentals for 3 years. Our guests always note our spaces are impeccably clean, we hold high standards. We are on-site almost daily cleaning common areas.
We own a property management company and our office is 2 buildings down, we answer questions and problems immediatly. We also have 24 hour maintenance should any problems arise.
This building can be rented as an entire space which would give guests access to all 3 rooms, perfect for family weekends, trips with friends, or bridal parties. Please contact us for more info.

Requirements
-A government photo ID is required at or before check in to verify identity. If you have a vehicle, your license plate number and make model of your vehicle is required for our records to ensure parking in our back lot. You vehicle could be towed without providing this info!
Check In/Out
-Check-in is at 4pm, please arrange in advance if you need an earlier time. We try to accommodate if possible. Check-out is at 12 noon, our cleaning lady arrives promptly to clean the space to turn over for our next guests. If you do not check-out by 12 noon, you will be charged another night stay.
Smoking
-This home is a non-smoking area, if you need to smoke please go outside and properly dispose of all cigarette butts. Absolutely no drug use is permitted on this property!!!
Damage/Cleanliness
-Please do not remove any contents from the space. We keep a detailed inventory of everything; if anything goes missing you will be charged the approximate replace cost.
-If bath towels, hand towels, wash clothes, or kitchen towels are stained or ruined beyond cleaning you will be charged. If any stains appear on the area rugs, furniture, or pillows from your stay, you will be charged a cleaning fee.
-If anything is broken during your stay please let us know. We try to work with our guests the best we can, but you may be liable to reimburse the replacement cost.
-Please remove old food from the refrigerator and dispose prior to leaving. Trash cans are available in the back of the property off kitchen. Extra trash bags are under the kitchen sink.
-Whilst we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we ask that prior to leaving you clean and put away and wash any dishes or kitchenware used. You can load all dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Please leave all dirty linens in the basket provided in each room, which includes all bath towels, washcloths, and bed linens.
-Please do not use decorate pillows for sleeping.
-To keep our floorings sparkly clean we do ask that you remove your shoes in the suite. Please do not track in muddy or wet shoes, keep our hardwood pretty and scratch free.
Shared Spaces
-This building has 3 private suites/rooms. Guests will share an entryway, dining room, and kitchen/laundry. Please be respectful to the other guests when using the common areas. When cooking and using appliances in the kitchen clean up all messes. Do not leave any dishes in the sink. Dishes should be washed and put away or put in dishwasher. Please do not leave laundry in washer or dryer so others can use the machines. Essentially, if you make a mess please clean it up. There are cleaning supplies, broom, and mop in the kitchen.
Noise
-Please keep noise levels down parties and event are restricted. Quiet hours are 8pm-8am. This building does have other occupants.
Safety
-DO NOT LEAVE WASHER AND DRYER RUNNING UNATTENDED! Please make sure you are in the unit when using washer and dryer.
-Make sure all hair dryers, curling irons, clothes iron, etc are unplugged before leaving unit.
-Candles are not permitted due to fire hazards.
-Guests are responsible for locking all doors at all times. Please lock all doors when coming and going.
-The minimum age requirement is 21. Guests under 21 are welcome accompanied by a parent or guardian.
-To prevent plumbing issues, please do not flush anything down the toilet besides toilet paper. There is a trashcan in each bathroom for other items. Flushable wipes are not permitted.
Electricity
- To keep our costs down and pass those savings onto you, we kindly ask that you switch off lights when not in use and/or you are leaving the house. Mother nature thanks you too!
-Please keep the A/C or heat between 70-75 degrees.
-We are required to keep on all common area lights on at all times.

-This unit has a max of 2 persons. If you need larger accommodations please let us know.
-Only booking guests are allowed in this property. If an unapproved guest is staying on property a $100 fee will be added to your bill.

-The upstairs hallway has a linen closet that consists of extra bed sheets, towels, washcloths, toilet paper, and toiletries. Please only take what you need, we want to continue to offer things you might forget when traveling.

Lovely little get-away
Great experience here. Right downtown and everything is walkable. Beautiful, clean property. We will definitely be back to this place!

Great place to stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and decorated very nicely. Parking was easy, right outside the building. Communication with the hosts was very good. Window coverings on the common areas would be nice, especially for night time. Other than that, we can't think of anything we would change. We would certainly love to stay there again. Definitely a 5 star!
