Nice staff and helpful. the breakfast was excellent

Hotel building was as expected, it had look from past and it was kind of charming. View to Dolomites from room was stunning and that's all
Breakfast was too thin - there wasn't eggs, or fried bacons etc.., it was very basic, and it was charged separately. Parking didn't have roof or canopy. Also they charged one euro for exit in morning, but during night front big gate oriented to main street was wide open, exposing all cars to be potentially easily stolen. Another story is "free Wifi" with solution from 2000's, demanding to enter username and password every time you connect to network. Bathroom and WC was separate rooms, so after WC you have to go to another room to wash hands. Floors was made of wood and make squeaky sound as you walk, but this could be interpreted as charming if you love this stuff. Also all furniture is rather old and need renovation. Comparing to Ljubljana and Kranjska Gora, price is higher for less comfort.

First the location is great for people travelling by public transport. The hotel is located in the centre of Lienz very close to train station and pedestrian zone.
Second regarding the hotel itself. Though the interior of the rooms and hotel appear old and probably are, the rooms are very spacious and have, something you don't even find in many higher priced hotels, a fridge. There is a separate seating are and a desk in the room. The beds are very comfortable with a mattress that does not remind you of a hammock.
Lastly responding to some of the complaints that have been mentioned before. The room is noisy if you open the window. However with closed windows you hear hardly anything from outside.

We were lucky enough to have 2 balcony’s facing in two different directions so we had a view of the mountains no matter where we looked!
It’s also a very easy four minute walk from the town center.
The Hotel is right in front of a junction. So as of 7 am there is a lot of car/motorbike noise so a lay in wouldn’t be possible. But at night time the roads were quiet so you can get a good nights sleep!

Everything else
Little noisy due to traffic, but not too bad.

The location of the hotel is good, very close to the main street of Lienz. Our room had a beautiful view to the mountains. Breakfast was good, even I found vegetarian and whole grain foods. We came with our dog, and even she could come down into the restaurant of the hotel. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The area is a little bit noisy because of the traffic, but if you close all the windows, it's okay.
