About this house rental
Welcome to our lovely home nestled on 10+ private acres in the lake region with easy access to golfing, hiking, swimming, boating, skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, leaf peeping – you name it! It is a 2-minute car ride to the state park with hiking trails and public access for both swimming and boating. Close to Okemo/Killington slopes and VAST trails-- perfect for your favorite snow activities. Nearby are also two golf courses and idyllic mountain towns. State/County inspected for your safety. It is a great home for families to share or spread out, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for all. The great room, warmed by a wood stove, and a den, complete with retro gaming consoles, offer additional living space for the whole family. Included are all the creature comforts from home you may need including linens, towels, kitchenware, Wi-Fi, movies and cable TV. Oh, and those views! Enjoy spectacular sunsets down the valley and over the distant mountain range from the hot tub, decks, and fire pit. Our hot tub is professionally treated in advance of your stay. We were a 2 family group with 2 teens, 2 preteens & one 8 year old & we were all able to find space to be comfortable. The house has a beautiful den with ample seating & a dining room area for all of us to eat together comfortably. The highlight was the hot tub which was well maintained & so relaxing after a day of skiing. House is about 10 mins to okemo, really was a great stay!

Ski vacation with kids and grandkids. Perfect spot for above combination! Clean , casual, comfortable. Very well stocked kitchen including pots and pans and anything else you might need. Roomy enough that everyone could have their own space or enjoy each other’s company in the great room or eating meals together at the big dining table. Views and hot tub were awesome. Kids found cool games and plenty of dvds and books in the game room which also served as a get ready to ski room. The 3 year old cried when it was our last morning cause he was sad to leave. Thank you for letting us stay in your home! Would definitely highly recommend it! Not cold enough to use the woodstove but would be a great added bonus on a cold winter day!!

The property is secluded, unique, spacious, and fun. The kids loved watching summer t-storm roll over mountains and having clouds and fog envelop them in early hours. The property was close to lots of great summer activities and we stayed busy! Game room was a really nice touch, as was air conditioning. Only down side on 90 degree days was that kids’ upstairs rooms didn’t have air conditioning and no wind blew. However, I doubt this occurs for many days of the year in VT (we were early August). But with air conditioning elsewhere we were all able to get cool by using an air mattress we had brought. Owners very responsive and clearly take good care of home. Beautiful views and porch! Definitely recommend!

Rachel was so fast to answer all questions and extremely helpful with planning. The property was truly amazing and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Like many other renters have noted; the house was stocked more than expected which was a very nice plus. Thank you so much for everything Rachel; can’t thank you enough!

A great place to stay near Okemo
Great house with a nice lodge-like feel in a private setting in the woods. Big back deck and hot tub with nice views and beautiful sunsets! Main floor has both a living and family room and a nice big dining room - lots of space to hang out. Rachel was really helpful and responsive, much appreciated. Convenient access to Ludlow and Okemo (~15 min). My only tip is consistent with what is said on the listing, that it can be helpful to have 4-wheel drive in some spots on the country roads around the house.

A warm and welcoming retreat to get away from it all.
We loved our stay at Rachel's property for our family ski trip, and while we had high expectations, it managed to exceed them. The view of the mountains and sunsets from deck and hot tub were amazing. Also we didn't realize there was a 4th bedroom, so the extra bedroom made it very comfortable for our group of 7. The house is warm and cozy with a rustic charm, we especially loved hanging out in the great room with the large windows and wood burning stove. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking some family meals. Reasonable price for all that you get and made the 15 minute drive to Okemo well worth it, versus the extra costs of staying at the resort. They received 20 inches of snow the day before we arrived and everything was plowed and shoveled including the deck, but still important to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, the back roads and driveway where still snow covered. Rachel was very attentive and helpful during the entire process. Hope to be back again and experience a different season.

Location is fantastic, the view out all the windows breathtaking, and the house is exactly what all of us dream of in a cabin vacation getaway. Extremely clean, it came with everything we needed, super easy check in and the host Rachel was so responsive to any questions. THAT HOTTUB with that view though, breathtaking!

Vermont getaway
This is a lovely house tucked away on top of the hills above Lake echo. Very spacious with a well equipped kitchen. We 4 ladies enjoyed our stay very much. My only suggestion would be the addition of lamps/lighting in the bedrooms (particularly the master) and the large family room. We would recommend this rental.

Beautiful house
The house was big (4 bedrooms that could have fit up to 10 people, 2 living rooms and a huge deck) and so beautiful with hardwood floors a hot tub and an antler chandelier.
The location was perfect. It felt remote but was only about 10 minutes to Okemo.

Fantastic house with fabulous views
The property was exactly as advertised, stunning views from the back porch, with everything you could possible need to enjoy your stay. Would highly recommends stay here. Rachel was very responsive to all communications.

Great place
This place was just as advertised, the house was immaculate and had just about anything you could need. We had a fantastic time, there was plenty of room for everyone and plenty you do at the house. The deck was huge with a great view of the mountains, the hot tub was a bonus as well as the fire place. All and all a great stay and we would definitely rent again.

Lovely mountain home
Our two families stayed in your home right after the holiday and it was perfect! We had 3 adults and 6 teenage children all of which were nicely accommodated. We loved the hardwood floors and of course the wood burning stove what a rustic feel! The hot tub was a hit for all especially while enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains. Okemo ski resort was 10 minutes away.. perfect. Thanks for helping our two families create wonderful memories around the holidays. Oh and the old school Nintendo and Atari brought me back :) what fun!

Spacious, comfortable, and just what I needed :)
We rented this house for a weekend of skiing at Killington and it was the perfect off-campus home for much-needed rest and recuperation. The modern kitchen, steamy hot tub, and super soft bed sheets were just a few reasons why I'll be coming back next year!

This wonderful rustic home and the ambiance of the area was like a postcard come to life. It is convenient to Okemo and Killington ski resorts and after a day on the slopes we could warm up by the fire or hot tub. We also enjoyed visiting the shops in a nearby charming town. I would highly recommend a getaway to Plymouth Vermont and the comfort this fabulous home provides. We will definitely be back first chance we get!

Beautiful home in a mountain setting with gorgeous views, sunsets and close to skiing and town
After winding our way over the river and through the woods, we were welcomed into this charming home. Walking into the bright kitchen, you know all the details have been considered. It's well stocked with everything you need (spices, sharp knives, french press, espresso machine) - including a gorgeous, new oven. The views from the dining room, living room and master bedroom were awesome. It was fun to watch the weather blow over the mountains or settle into the valley! We found the BEST view was watching the sunset from the hot tub.
The layout of this house was really unique - with 2 living rooms, we had room to gather or spread out and find a quiet corner by the fire to read.
The house was very clean and comfortable. I forgot shampoo and was happy to see a basket of shampoos, etc. in the bathroom - thank you!
We were able to drive only a few minutes to some great hikes and got to Killington Rd in 20 minutes for a day of early season boarding.
I look forward to coming back with my kids to ski Okemo - they'll love the gaming systems and basket of kids books.
Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for a friends getaway! We really appreciate the thoughtful amenities and look forward to coming back again to experience every season in VT.

Private VT Oasis
This place was amazing. The view from the deck was unbelievable. It seemed as if there were no neighbors, just a completely private setting. The main living room was really nice with ample dry wood for the stove. The house was in close proximity to the hiking trails we explored, Echo Lake, and downtown Ludlow. The beds were really comfortable and the WIFI was strong. We will likely make this home our next year’s Fall retreat.
