Picture yourself driving up to the Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure NC, the first thing you see is the 3,200 foot mountain with its magnificent towering cliffs perched high above the lake. The resort is spread over 3000+ acres and the community provides activities and amenities for the whole family, all included in your rental. With 2 golf courses, tennis courts, spa and fitness center, hiking and biking trails, boating and much more. Each season is filled with everything a mountain vacation should include. Our three-bedroom two bath country cottage has all the modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable and all the charms of a mountain getaway. If you are a couple looking to get away from it all or a multi-generational family having a holiday get together, Honeycrisp Cottage at Rumbling Bald Resort is right for you! The open plan living area has a fully stocked newly renovated kitchen for preparing great meals for family and friends. We have all the small appliances, pots, pans, cutlery, dishes and glasses to prepare a holiday meal or an intimate dinner for two. In the summer, spring and fall you will find pots filled with fresh herbs that are there for the picking! We have a lovely dining area with a farmers table and a comfy living room with a gas fireplace, brand new flat screen TV for viewing satellite channels, Netflix, Amazon or bring your own films to play on the new DVD player. There are three bedrooms; a master suite with King-size bed and private bath on one side of the house and on the other side a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bedroom with two twin beds and a shared bathroom with shower and tub. We have stocked the house with books, games, puzzles and DVDs for those nights you just want to stay in. There is a secluded deck off the living room with a gas grill and outdoor table for dining in the warmer weather. The house is fully air conditioned (new air conditioner just installed) in the summer (although you will want to throw the windows open for the crisp cool summer evenings) and well heated for the winter. This is a four seasons rental, we are set up comfortably for 6 people. We provide all linens, toiletries, dishes, pots and pans and other essentials for getting your vacation off to a good start...the cupboards are filled with spices, oils, vinegars, mustards and other mainstays to start you on your cooking experience. Our guests have thrown great dinner parties and barbecues for friends and family. We do accept well behaved dogs, sorry no cats.

The cabin was great. Rumbling Bald is a great resort with many amenities. We weren’t able to enjoy them quite as much as we would have liked because of the rain, but the cabin has a great Roku TV with fast internet to pass the time during the rain. The host was easy to communicate with.

This 3 BR 2 BA cottage is centrally located in the Lake Lure community and is in a resort with amenities including beach, indoor & outdoor pools, 2 golf courses, and a wellness center & spa. The house itself is nicely laid out and has a wraparound porch. It accommodated our family of 5 perfectly and the host was very responsive. Would highly recommend it.

This house was great for our family. All bedrooms being on the same level was a plus. Access to all of the Rumbling Bald amenities added to our overall experience. Passes and wrist bands for the 4th of July events we’re waiting on us in the house. Check in was simple and easy. House is close to a hiking trailhead which was nice for our dog. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was extraordinary. However, I was under the impression that ALL the amenities were within walking distance I envisioned several cabins in a resort and the pool , hot tub, mini golf. Etc we're all right there together

I was there for Christmas and although the weather didn’t participate the house was just lovely. Very clean, had everything we needed and was so cutely decorated. We loved our stay and highly recommend those cottage.

Honeycrisp was lovely. It had everything we needed to prepare a feast, although we couldn’t find a potato masher among all the wonderful gadgets and kitchen tools. The home is warm and cozy but ample space for everyone. The bathrooms were fantastic. Beds comfy. We wanted to try the grill but there was a black bear roaming about so we thought it might not be wise to entice it with grilling. I highly recommend this place. The hosts were responsive and super helpful. Can’t wait to try it again in the summer.

Honey crisp was everything they described and more. The place was immaculate, well stocked with everything you can imagine, every appliance big and small were available. More than enough bedding and towels. Even supplied bathrobes. If you have children this is the place to bring them. Toys and swim toys galore. The access to the gym and lake were a bonus. Highly recommend this beautiful, quiet retreat house. We will be back

The property was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The nice addition was floats and noodles for the lake! It was at the top of the mountain with only 2 other homes on the road but you couldn’t see them from the house. If you want privacy and quiet, this is the place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in this quiet, cozy cottage. The property was well stocked with toiletries, dishes and many other things that you might need. It really felt like a home away from home. It is a short drive from the Rumbling Bald resort which has numerous activities for any family. I would highly recommend this cottage for a trip to the Lake Lure area.

The property was very secluded as we requested. There was no operable outside lighting, but this could be an easy fix. The cottage is exactly as advertised. Clean, spacious and all the things that make a house a home. We loved our stay and would choose this location again!!!

When looking for a place to rent we wanted the amenities but also a quiet and quaint rental away from neighbors enjoying the beauty of nature. We got ALL that here. The rental was amazing, clean, and had everything we needed. The deck was perfect for cool nights and grilling. The living room and dining room was spacious enough for our family to have more than enough space. The amenities included yet just a few minutes away we’re outstanding! We enjoyed the restaurant, indoor pool, beach, and outdoor games! Would highly recommend and we can’t wait to visit again!

House was good. Problem was 8 steps from car park up to back door. My son had a broken foot and used crutches and walk from car to house was difficulty. Not a good disability walk. enjoyed house and amenities and will consider using house again.

Rented this property last week over Christmas. Communication from Richard (owner) prior, during and after our stay was excellent. House was everything we had hoped it would be, clean and offered all of the amenities we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dinnerware and cooking supplies. House was stocked with many movies and game and TV subscription provided a lot of options for winding down in the evenings. Lodge was a very short distance from home and health center offered many enjoyable activities for our family. Overall a wonderful experience for our family.

Very clean, easily accommodated our family, including the furry members. Super nice hosts who checked on us and made the check in and stay easy. When the coffee maker didn't work, they arrived with a brand new one. We couldn't have asked for a better family get together. The house was perfect, hosts were great, the views/nature were awesome. Local riding stables, good restaurants, close to Biltmore and Chimney Rock.
