About this house rental
WELCOME to an escape.
Ignore the VRBO autoquote, I will edit quotes by group specifics
This home is on the Pend Oreille river, 20 minutes from the crowds of town. It is on a beautiful 5 plus acres, with 229 feet of beach frontage. The pictures do not do it justice. The 5000 sq ft home is spacious and comfortable. The front lawn is gigantic and there is room for games, lounging, serenity and going out to the boat or water to enjoy. In Summer, sun rises in the 4 am hour and sets around 930 pm. They days are long, and hiking, dining, swimming, shopping, Silverwood, Schweitzer Mountain, Coeur D Alene are all pretty close by.
I try to be flexible on booking rates, depending on the dates, and group size. VRBO has an autoquote system that is horrendous for miscalculations for big homes, so just "contact the host" when asking for a quote, and I will get you the correct rate.

THIS HOME REQUIRES 120 DAY OR MORE CANCEL NOTICE FOR ANY SUMMER DATES, THIS OVERRIDES THE DEFAULT HOMEAWAY 60 DAY POLICY. 91-120 DAY CANCEL NOTICE LOSES HALF OF PAYMENT. 90 DAY OR LESS LOSES ALL OF PAYMENT.
We Will Try To Accommodate Your Dates And Partial Weeks If It Works Out.
Your private waterfront retreat has arrived. 6 bedroom, 3 bath, 5100 sq feet of vacation paradise. This home is private 5.92 acres, cozy, yet large, has a pool table, lots of rooms to play poker, cards, board games, hike the property, read, watch movies, sip hot chocolate, or drive to Schweitzer to ski (approx 30 easy miles )and town to dine (Sandpoint and Priest River are close) Horse sleigh rides are a mile up the road. The sand is on the beach. There is room to pitch tents or horseshoes, and a firepit when season permits
Family reunions and getaways: This home is well built, clean, and comfortable. Come in winter or summer to this big, 5,100 square-foot home. Don't let the rates scare you; it's a deal when divided among a group desiring to enjoy private, luxury, river acreage.
Situated in a park like setting with a flat lawn to the water, this home is perfect for family vacations, and family reunions. Group sizes may affect rates. We welcome small groups, as well.
The 220 feet of waterfront and sandy beaches are great for kids. The beach opens into the great Pend Oreille River. There is boat beaching right on the property. The waterfront has some shallow parts that the kids have a blast kayaking around in. We provide a couple of free kayaks with rental. The home's private vast water area shelters the waves and boats on the main part of the river, but it does not block your grand view of everything.
Enjoy the river views and play volleyball, barbecue or sunbathe.
Take a walk or jog up and back on the six acres of private road -- amidst pine trees, lawn, and pastures. Pick a fresh apple or cherry in season during your walk. Take a photo of that pesky raccoon that visits. Moose, deer, and bear have been known to mosey through the neighborhood.
Picnic tables, a deck, a canopy for those hot days by the water, barbecues, dishes, and utensils are all here!
If you like camping without the interference of a close camper, bring a few tents. While mom and dad sleep in the cozy master bedroom overlooking the tents and river, kids can enjoy outdoor sleeping.
There is a large hot tub on the deck, sometimes available; so you can watch your friends water-ski from one angle, and look into the house to see who's winning a game of pool from the other angle.
On the main floor, of the 2 floors, there is a large kitchen which has a casual dining area. This adjoins the connected dining and living room.
Here we have a pool table, TV, huge sofa that is beyond large and comfortable, a fireplace, a more formal dining table, and a sofa and love seat. On the main floor as well, we have a bathroom, laundry room and newly added bedroom.
Our upstairs features mostly sleeping areas. The Master hails a King bed, and the adjoining 440 Sq. ft. of master has a sitting room, fireplace and bathroom. Next we have a large bedroom with 2 Queen beds. A normal sized bedroom offers a Queen bed. The kiddie Room, which adults can use as well, has 6 twin beds and a queen, and even room to play games. It should be a favorite. The next bedroom has a queen bed, and a king.
Downstairs, we decided to add another bedroom, to make a total of 6. This room will has a queen bed, and is great for those who don't want to climb the stairs. The home is just 18 miles from the heart of Sandpoint, and 6 miles from the town of Priest River and is worth the easy drive.
This is a great home, there are no granite countertops, but most people enjoy the views, waterfront, snow and home just as it is. This is North Idaho, a comfortable home for down to earth folks. I rarely have complaints and this home has been rented out to repeat groups and families since 2003, this is why it books so fast.

Great spacious house on a beautiful property. Well stocked with plenty of towels and dishes for the large groups this home accommodates. Our only complaint was the check out times were confusing. The VrBO app stated 11am check out which is the norm, but in notes in the house it said 10am which was rushed when we were required to wash towels before leaving l. All in all we loved this house.

Even with the record breaking heat we had an amazing time and hope to come back! The property manager/owner was very attentive and made sure we wouldn't be too hot setting up fans and sprinklers. It was so perfect for our two families we didn't want to leave!

We had a great time at the house. The house is big and roomy yet warm and welcoming. Even with no air conditioning, the house stayed cool during the day if you opened the windows at night and closed them in the morning. The kayaks were fun but we didn't see a pedal boat. The beach is nice for the kids, but the shallow water might be too murky for some adults. There is a lot of clay under there. There are a fair amount of weeds as well, so unless you like feeling like you are walking on a wet carpet under the water, you might want to bring water shoes. The 4th of July fireworks were amazing and went on for well over an hour across the lake. We also had eagles and hawks perched on a tree at the property line. They caught a few fish right in front of us over the 5 days.
This is a great place for families and reunions. You won't be disappointed and Martina was very kind, responsive and easy to work with.

A great gathering space for 8 disc golf enthusiasts. We spent the early parts of the days at Farragut SP and Caliber DGC. Evenings on the beach, and big backyard. Everyone had a great time!

We were in Sandpoint for a youth soccer tournament and shared the house with a total of 12 people. The house was more than big enough for our 3 families. We were there on a rainy weekend, so the washer and dryer were a necessity. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely be back next summer.

Can’t wait to rent this out again!

The house and property are beautiful. It’s right on the river with a big Sandy beach. Grandkids loved swimming, fishing and kayaking right on the property. Owner provided some kayaks which we used and enjoyed. Great communication with the owner , she was very responsive if we had a question. Lots of wildlife including bald eagles. The house is stocked with supplies. It’s close to town but not too close to neighbors so you have privacy to unwind. The pictures don’t do this place justice. It’s huge and has plenty of room to spread out and relax. We enjoyed spending time with our family and would stay there again.

We brought our team to the house and it was everything we hoped. Martina was easy to work with and very communicative. It was a great weekend for all of us!

We spent most of our time outside at the beach cove or on the deck. The house was very roomy and quiet at night. However I really didn't enjoy how unwelcoming the the contract portion of the reservation was - things being last minute and contract not send when I was told to expect it and then sent to me the week prior to our stay. We did enjoy the property though!
