This was the perfect apartment for us! It’s walking distance to so many restaurants, easy trip to the grocery store as well. It was also super easy to get into the city and surrounding areas to explore each day knowing there was a comfortable place to come back to for the evenings. We all would come back again.

This property is in a great location. This property has most definitely NOT been refurbished. The furniture is awful, uncomfortable, and old. The beds squeak. The AC units are horribly loud. The bathroom is badly in need of renovation. The hosts are non-responsive. They didn't bother to leave enough toilet paper, trash bags or any dishwasher detergent. We actually did enjoy our stay but know what you are getting before you stay.

Great being so close to many restaurants on Broadway. The place is as described. We were a little tight in the bathroom with five guests, but this is as advertised. Geng was accommodating to changes in the reservation dates, which was much appreciated.

Location was great for us and the space was good. However, the property was very worn and dirty. There was gross food left from previous guests. Mattresses need to be replaced. Kitchen utensils were lacking (e.g. no wine glasses or corkscrew) and no wash clothes or hand towels were provided. The host did not respond to a brief question we had, although we asked twice. No dishwasher detergent was provided even though we were asked to run the dishwasher. Would not stay here again.

Good stay
Close proximity to Boston and easy to catch the subway or take Uber/Lyft into the city.

Absolutely no problems checking in or out.
Train was about seven blocks from the house so it was very convenient.
Temperature was excellent.. never too cold or hot
The house is good for six people. We were eight. Having one bathroom was difficult.
Two of the mattress need to be replaced . They are old.
The bed located in the first room as you enter is excellent.
The other two need to be replaced.
The pans are old so it was difficult to cook but we managed.
Overall the stay way good and we left happy.

Charming, but limited kitchen
Charming older property in a nice Boston suburb neighborhood. Comfortable rooms. Our only issue was that the kitchen was not well stocked for preparing meals -- only a few glasses and cups, no wine glasses, poor quality knives and baking/cooking pans, etc... If you're planning to do any cooking during your stay ask the owner if he's stocked up the kitchen.

Not the fanciest but great location.
Clean but not high-end in its finishes. Ample room for mom, dad and two adult kids. Manager was great. Location for driving was excellent, 15 minutes to about everything.
Beware when parking on the street. Check the signs about street sweeping on first and third Mondays to avoid a $50 ticket.

Very reasonable for the size and location
Enjoyed staying here together with some other family while in town for a wedding in downtown Boston. Very reasonable price for the size and location. To simply say "brand new" would be overstating things but this unit has had a number of updates that make a noticeable difference. Glassware and bathroom could use some improvement but would stay again. We were very easily able to Uber or Lyft to locations not within a reasonable distance.

It was good in a pinch
It was a nice place in an up and coming neighborhood, close to the store and restaurants.About 15 minute walk to the train. Not very clean on the inside, the shower curtain had a lot of mold. There were no washcloths. The furniture was outdated and dirty and it was three dining chairs put against the wall in the sitting area. The bed I was in felt like I would fall out if I got too close to the edge because it was so broke down. We had two cars there so he provided a parking pass but didn’t inform me that it was only a two day parking pass and got a $50 guest abuse ticket, so if you stay more than two days you have to shuffle cars. The outside was overgrown with weeds and not very tidy. It said there was a balcony, but it was locked and we couldn’t get out there. The kitchen was nice and new, had about all you need. We had to book this one on the spot because the house we originally book went off the market a week and a half before our trip, so price and availability were the deciding factors.

Amazing location
The location of this property is amazing! A short walk from the T-line and less than 3 miles away from anything and everything in Boston. The building owner was very accommodating. Only issue we had, was we (my wife and I) were in the only room without an AC unit. Got a bit hot in the evenings. Pleasant expiernce all around

Great location and nice townhouse while visiting Boston area.
Traveled with my family of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens) and were very happy with our stay. The location of the town home is very convenient to the downtown Boston area (approximately a 10 minute Uber ride). Somerville is just outside of the "main" downtown Boston area - We did not use the public transportation, so can't speak on the proximity of that, but our Uber rides were typically about $20.00 for a 6 passenger. The home is walking distance to a large grocery store (Stop and Shop), and several excellent restaurants (2 specifically that we loved - Vinny's Ristorante & La Brasa). Cute ice cream shop a couple blocks away, as well as gas station, pizza places, Dunkin Donuts, etc... Residential type neighborhood, felt very safe and comfortable walking around. We basically used Uber/Lyft to get into Boston each day - and spent the entire day there, returning at night. Never a problem getting an Uber - typically less than a 3 minute wait. We had our car, so we did drive to Harvard for the day, as parking seems a little easier to come by there than in downtown Boston. The kitchenware/silverware/drinkware could use a little help (i.e. only one coffee cup, one sharp knife, pans a little worn) - but we didn't cook much so it was not really an inconvenience for us, just something for the owner to perhaps address. A minor issue with the owner entering the premises unannounced twice while we were there - apparently a miscommunication on his part as to when we were checking out. A little unsettling, but he was very apologetic. All in all, it was a very comfortable, nicely appointed home, with pretty much all we needed. The included parking was a HUGE benefit, as almost every other place we considered either charged for parking or you were on your own to find it. There is a private driveway (shared with two other units) or you can park on the street with the provided parking pass. Again - this is a really big plus if you start looking at the cost of garage parking and meter parking in the Boston area. As to other comments on the lack of TV offerings - yes, only a handful of channels available - but when you are in a great city to explore - why sit at home watching tv anyway??? If you are a family looking for a convenient, comfortable home while visiting Boston, Harvard, etc.... I would recommend this. We were quite happy with our stay, the location of the property and the amenities that a "home" provides versus a hotel room.

Spacious and close to everthing in Boston
At first site the place seemed clean and just what we needed for our 4 day vacation of six people. The 3 bedrooms with queen beds a living room, bathroom, and kitchen was definitely what we required. However, after a day on the town and the need to come home and relax, we discovered there is'nt enough seating in the living area for 6 adults, let alone comfortable seating. Love seat and chairs not comfortable or clean. Bathroom was not cleaned at all. I went to the store the following morning to get cleaners to wash the tub, toilet, and floor. Disgusting with hair, urine, soap scum, mildew, and toothpaste and god knows what else. Beds and sheets were clean, we expected hard beds and they were, just would have loved more the 1 pillow per person. Bath towels were clean and plentiful, just didn't have any wash cloths. I Bought those too when I went to get cleaners for the bathroom. Left them for future guests. All in all I think the place has great potential but the owner definitely needs to upgrade furniture and obtain a better house cleaning company. The parking was good and the owner left us a parking permit for the street. Thank you!

Great location & price!
Pros: great location in East Somerville. Less than 15 min. walk from Sullivan Station which includes Orange line T & many buses. Walking distance to a Stop & Shop, many delicious restaurants in the neighborhood & a liquor store & corner store within 1-2 blocks. The apartment itself is spacious, has washer & dryer, shared parking (free) or permit for parking on street (reasonable fee). Includes keypad entry which is super convenient. Decently stocked w/ cooking utensils. Would stay again.
Cons: No measuring cups. Lots of other cooking utensils, but no measuring cups. In the amenities listed regarding this property (through our stay 10/12 to 10/17/2017) is a hot tub & community pool. Those amenities are not available. Very limited cable options (bare bones channels) though it does include all the HBOs (but not Travel, Discovery, Food, etc.). This place also listed as beachfront & downtown- not true. Access to the beach & downtown, sure, but that's all of Boston. The 3rd bedroom's mattress was at an angle, was strange.
Things to note: Shared parking is kind of inconvenient b/c you have to keep moving your car out of the way so people can back out (or ask people to move their car so you can get out) but we only had a car for one night so it worked for us. Fee for street parking was reasonable but there's not always a lot of availability. You can really hear the neighbors quite well above us. Not voices, just footsteps. Bedroom 1 had very firm mattress. Not as clean as a hotel but cleaner than my apartment so....depends on how picky you are.

Overall Great
Overall great experience. Nice - clean - close to great restaurants, No problems with parking. Close to Boston!
We probably stayed there on the hottest night of the year....but there was an air conditioner and fan to keep things cool.
All of the beds were very firm...bordering on uncomfortable. A mattress topper would be a great addition to the house inventory.

Great location in Boston
The apartment is as pictured and you also get to park on the driveway or on the street with a permit that is provided. The T is just a short walk away and there are plenty of good places to eat just down the street. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The owner to the apartment was very responsive with any requests we had.

Very clean and spacious, and perfect for our needs.
Geng was very quick to respond, which was excellent given the fact that my original host night before my arrival. The home was clean and accommodating, and very comfortably slept myself and five others. There is a kitchen and a washer and dryer which was definitely an added bonus. The neighborhood was great, lots of residences and a couple of great restaurants and bars. The spot is close to the T, but we used uber most of the time. Very clean and spacious, and perfect for our needs. There is also a back porch with a picnic table that would have been very great to use had we not been so pressed on time. Again, Geng really came in clutch and saved our vacation!

The place is very spacious, everything was neat and very clean
Gang was awesome. We had a group of people that stayed at this apartment for the week, and it was perfect for what we needed. It is exactly as listed. It was comfortable for 6 people, and was close to public transit for us to get to work during the day. The neighborhood is residential, with restaurants nearby and a large supermarket about 5 minutes away. We would definitely recommend this listing!!

Upgrade needed
The living room furniture wasn't adequate for our group (7). The bedrooms were ok. There were no sharp knives or baking pans, or mixing bowls in the kitchen. The owner needs to upgrade the bathroom towels. The tub was very slippery and there was nothing to hang onto. The place was not clean. The entryway into the second floor was very dirty. There were bags of cement and other things on the floor, dust bunnies and dirty. There was dust under beds, on furniture and in corners. There were dirty towels under the kitchen sink (we cleaned under and washed them). The owner needs a new cleaning service.
The walk to the subway was more like 12-15 mins. The owner has a cute, little place, but it definitely needs an upgrade.

Libby
Quaint 1860's house with beautiful old floors. House has lots of character in a quiet area but still near center of town. House was clean and comfortable. There is a large porch with grill and yard. Do keep in mind that the stairs to the second floor are very steep- like most 1860's homes.

This place was clean, convient, and felt like a home away from home. We had the wrong door code when we arrived, but the owner was able to help us sort it out in no time at all. Parking was a little tight, but the fact that it was free IN Boston was a huge plus. Would totally stay here again.
