Absolutely loved the dock.
Parking is small - recommend one vehicle
The one bedroom was hotter than the whole house.

☹️Nothing. Wasn't allowed in
The surprising and ridiculous $90 parking permit fee which should be waived for just one overnight stay. I was not about to pay extra for just sleeping at a place. If I wanted to pay that much for an overnight stay, I would've stayed at an island resort ☹️

Beautiful scenery & peaceful vibes. Very relaxing place to stay at for a weekend. It had everything you needed, including toiletries. I loved that once you walk in the tv is on and you’re welcomed with music, the ac is on and the access was easy.
The cleaning wasn’t so good. Flushing the toilet I could feel a lot of dust on the handle/button to flush. The room was in need of sweeping. Lastly the backyard patio is so beautiful and would have loved to enjoy it more, but hard without a porch to cover the bright sun.

Close of South Padre Beach
House need better clean and bathroom is too old

The patio! Looking out to the water was wonderful, and the place was very convenient especially while we did some site searching.
The bathroom was very tiny. Not enough room to move around.

The rental was in a gated community with 24 hour security. I felt very safe staying there as a single traveler. The unit was on a small waterway. Always shore birds right across the water. I saw numerous types of herons and a least bittern, for any bird watchers looking for a cool location to stay. The deck also faced the Star Gate complex on Boca Chico strip. No launches during my stay, but would be the prefect place to watch one.
I did not know about the $90 resort fee until after I booked the reservation. I did not use any of the facilities in the community. However, the gated entry and the swing bridge are probably covered by the resort fee.

Great Wi-Fi and right by the water with a big size deck.
Bed was not the best, shower was small and not very good pressure, the AC almost didn’t keep up during the day it would get a little warm inside.

I liked the cleanliness of the place and the inclusion of dishes and dish soap.
I didn’t like that the light switches and covers were different colors. the bathroom door was flimsy and not private.

nice pool and hot tubs.
I did not like all the golf carts racing up and down the road with radios loud after 10pm.
did not like all the email communications full of contradictions. 80 bux for wrist bands or 90 bux. policies were not clear

nice place to stay. clean. quiet. cool community center. 24/7 security gated community.
there were some strange electronic noises in the unit throughout my stay. sounded like a champagne cork pop, then roll across the floor. every time I went out, someone else did too. like I was being stalked the cable tv went out the second day. the checkin woman got just a bit of an attitude, but I put her in her place. I won’t go back. I felt like people were listening in

I enjoyed the patio/deck and it’s proximity to the water. The house was the perfect size.
There weren’t many utensils in the kitchen. This led to a lot of creativity when cooking.

The view of SpaceX was great.
Very old prefabricated property. Very old appliances. The place looks shabby.

The security guard at the gate was so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We got a deck of cards out of a rotten place to stay.
I was so disappointed. The broken welcome binder (the whole top was off) was an indicator of the quilty that we have experienced.
The facility was not clean, so we decided to buy a mop, bleach, and bleach wipes to get the place acceptable. There were spider webs, little roaches in the kitchen and living area. The air filters had not been changed, so they were brown. Alot of the fixtures were rusted (vents, bathroom fixtures such as the toilet and bottom of the shower). The patio set of three seats had one broken chair and a rusted table.
The property really should be listed as being able to sleep 2 people. The sofa bed mattress was stained, old, had no sheets, and no bouncy to the cushion. Out of the four dining room chairs two were broken.
The pictures listed for the site were outdated and not accurate to the actual state of property. The ladies at the HOA building were not welcoming or engaging. We will not return, recommend or use Vacasa Home rentals in the future.

It was an amazing stay, so good we extended it one more night haha
The only complaint was the lighting outside. Only one light and no lighting on dock or running water to clean fish.

The view, and the coziness, were absolutely great, the city quaint. People are friendly.
1) The bed was outdated and uncomfortable.
2) The TV/Cable wasn't functioning correctly. The internet was not working.
3) We weren't explained how to secure the home if we decided to go out. So someone had to stay back.
4) Coffee pot wasn't working.
Other than that the home itself was quite cozy.
We want to do this again in the same home but a bit weary of the amenities. We'll read the reviews for next time and take it from there.
