Nice place close enough to walk around Hardy Historic District. We visited Grand Gorge SP in Missouri and Mamoth Springs SP in AR. We floated in 6 man rafts from Dam #3 to Many Islands Canoe Rental. We ate at Meacham's in Ash Flat, Spring River Draft and Grill in Hardy, and Carol's Lakeview Restaurant in Cherokee Village. All had great service and food at good prices. We were a big group and half of us stayed in this house and half in another house. We had breakfast the 1st morning at the other house and the 2nd morning at the Historic Hardy House and had everything we needed to cook with. Loved all the outdoor seating areas and flowers. The little guest house was so cute. Enjoyed staying at the Historic Hardy House and would stay there again if in the neighborhood.

We loved it very clean and nice.

We are two close families who came to float the river and have a great time hanging out together, and that we did! This place met every expectation and more! We will absolutely want to rebook for next year!!

My family and “friend family” had a wonderful stay. The home is beautiful and welcoming. Well appointed and clearly created by designers, even the outdoor spaces were amazing. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. Never made one trip to the store. Location is great and accessible to everything. Neighborhood is quiet and not one issue. Our hosts were wonderful and checked on us throughout the stay. We will absolutely book again. Don’t miss out on the muffins! Perfect way to wake up each morning.

We came for our son’s wedding in Ravenden Springs. The house was perfect! Everyone had their privacy, and plenty of room to be together when we wanted to be. The “Welcome Muffins” were so good we ordered another 1 1/2 dozen!
The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and spices. The beds were so comfy and the air conditioning worked great! If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely stay there again.

The house has a good story to it. It is very old but has been updated to compliment well.

Wonderful historic house. Great location to browse Main Street and very walkable to Buford Beach.House has an exceptional dining room and comfortable living room as well as a fantastic porch and patio with bbq and outdoor seating. A few things guests should know are that the house is right across Main from the railroad tracks and the train blows the whistle, (not so often at night), Main is a relatively busy street, there is road noise, (again not so much at night but starts a 6am), and it is not a cook’s kitchen although adequate for our simple meals.Given all, we would definitely stay again!

It was a nice house with plenty of room for everyone. We had everything we needed while we were there and it's within walking distance of all the shops on Main Street. Just be prepared to hear the trains go by at all hours of the day and night.

We absolutely loved this house. Very unique, very comfortable, well stocked. The weather was horrible on our trip in, and the hosts called us HOURS before check-in to let us know the home was ready and to feel free to go on in as soon as we arrived. So nice. AND there were delicious homemade muffins waiting for us!
The front porch and outside sitting areas (patio, firepit, etc) are beautiful and spacious. I could spend a week sitting in the various areas.
This trip was just my husband and me; however, we rented this large property to see how it would work if we took friends or our entire family. With the studio behind the main house, there are five bedrooms and three bathrooms! The only problem we saw, for our particular groups, is there are four bedrooms, but only two bathrooms in the main house. NOT a big problem for most of our trips, but the two bathrooms would likely be something we would discussed with other guests before booking for a large group in the main house.
The living room is large with lots of seating, and we loved the colorful rugs, chairs, etc. The dining table is HUGE with large seating. The kitchen is well appointed with most everything you'd need for meals in.
It's just such a beautiful area - if you've never visited, you should!

property well maintained & rooms clean & beds comfy. The blueberry muffins in kitchen upon our arrival were delicious (we ordered 2 dozen more during our stay). Gwen, the host, was phenomenal.
On our first night, I will say we were unaware of the freight trains that ran 300 yards from the house 24/7. This detail wasnt disclosed in the property description. Once ear plugs were purchased, most (but not all) of us were able to sleep through the night.
Proximity to downtown Hardy antique/art shopping is a short walk. Didn't use outdoor firepit due to rainy/windy weather during our stay.

Very warm and relaxing atmosphere and the outdoor area was just perfect with the fire pit and furniture for use. The guest house was also for that private space away from the grandkids. A wonderful front porch over overlooking the main street had plenty of charm. We highly recommend this VRBO !

Great house, great location, awesome host!!! Blueberry muffins were to die for!!!

Super cute old house!! Lots of gathering places outside and nice comfy beds inside. Walking distance to everything in the downtown area. We had a lot of fun meeting up with friends from Missouri. Do be careful if you book through VRBO. The price they quote you is not the actual price. They use a different company for bookings that charges additional fees that VRBO does not advertise. Even with the extra fees tacked on, it was still worth it with all of the room for big groups. The delicious blueberry muffins were a great touch when we arrived. We would definitely go again 🙂

Was a great location for drives to numerous towns with activities
We enjoyed the home and its nostalgic appeal. Very similar to the home my grandparents lived in when I was a child. Great location for our family events that where in several different towns .

The Historic Hardy House - 304 E Main St Hardy, Arkansas
We loved the Hardy House! So quaint, wonderfully decorated and appointed. We were very comfortable as soon as we arrived. The hostess went above and beyond, not only with a fabulously filled house but was easy to communicate with a send a wonderfully kind person. We found fresh muffins in the kitchen waiting for us as well as a great dinner reservation with a nice surprise discount for dinner. This place is a MUST stay if you are visiting the area!

First Family Reunion During Pandemic
The owners are lovely kind people who have created a family home with everything you could possibly think of and more. They were close at hand and always helpful and friendly. This is an interesting old house from 1924 I believe but updated for modern families. I loved the interesting decor and the garden was filled with blooming flowers. The owners even offered to take us on a driving tour of the area which I am sorry we missed. Next time! We were able to play with our new grandson and spend time together to work on healing a family loss. Like the rest of the country the area has suffered economic losses because of Covid so there were not a lot of choices for ordering meals. The weather was cool to coldish and the area was beautiful with blooming Dogwood, Redbud, and other trees. It must be beautiful in the fall! Thank you Carpenter family!
