Great Place! We had everything we needed even park
The house has an excellent location is close to the green line. We have rented this house for 2 consecutive years, We have a large family usually 12 people the house is large and comfortable and very clean. The house have everything washer and dryer and parking for two cars witch is very nice .
the kitchen is equipped with everything needed to cook .The beds are always very clean and comfortable as well as towels. The house has many rooms and spacious bedrooms. The owner set up two TV in different areas of the house which is perfect because our kids have their own TV.
I just want to thank the owner for letting us use her beautiful home when we visit Chicago this is our favorite place of lodging and the price is excellent for 12 people. we looking forward for our trip 2014 in this beautiful house in Oak Park by the way the neighborhood is great. the best part is very close to Chicago downtown

disappointing
We rented this home to celebrate Thanksgiving with our sons (also to celebrate my husband's retirement). One son lives in Oak Park and we flew the others in from Denver and Columbus.
PROS of the house: Location...it was close to my son's apartment and close to the green line so we were able to get to downtown to see the "Bean", and had a martini at the "Top of the Cock" at the John Hancock Building, did some sighseeing, etc. We also loved the old, unique style of this Chicago house.
There was plenty of room for everyone and the beds were comfortable. So glad there was a washer-dryer there too. Close to pubs...we loved "Poor Phil's"...great place!
CONS: The first night there was NO HEAT in the upstairs bedrooms...we FROZE! I called Ana and she had it taken care of by the end of the day.
The floors were FILTHY.....we always kick our shoes off and walk around in socks, slippers, etc...within a few minutes our socks were black with dirt. Not just in the main rooms....everywhere! When I mentioned this to Ana, she said she knew that the place had been cleaned thoroughly. Really?? The living room furniture was worn and tattered.
Don't be led by the description "top of the line amenities". Not true! I had planned on making Thanksgiving dinner and cooking for the family. There were 3 pans...6 dinner plates. We ended up using paper plates. Thank goodness my son brought down his pots and pans for me to cook! There was no mixer...I called Ana and she did arrange to have a mixer and paper plates delivered, but the mixer was coated in some sort of mixture that I could not remove with cleaning. There wasn't even a can opener!! Glad my husband brought his survival knife with a can opener on it. The kitchen should have had more "amenities".
I don't feel that our stay was worth the money we paid! Ana was very friendly and always answered my calls, but why should I have to concern myself with all this? Everything should be clean and ready for our stay!
I did receive my deposit in a timely manner, though. Do your research before you rent this home. The description is misleading.
