The home suited our group of two couples and two singles well and the porch was wonderful. It was very comfortable. It wasn’t updated with things such as old windows difficult to open or close and many missing screens, drawers that were hard to open, trash cans that could have used a good scrub, broken baseboard trims and heater covers, etc. None of this was the least uncomfortable to us, and seems appropriate to the island and the vibe. Very close to wonderful shops and restaurants. I would stay there again. The host (Jesse) was an extremely good communicator and very easy to reach and responsive and was able to guide us to good beaches and was very tolerant to our many questions. We had a small housekeeping/ plumbing issue which Jesse helped us with very promptly. I was a little surprised that there wasn’t any tp or paper towels or trash bags (at all) but Jesse explained that this was pretty usual for weekly rentals on MV and most people stop at the grocery in the way in. Good to know. Again, not a problem but worth knowing ahead of time. I’ll try to get back for another week. We really enjoyed it there !

Great Location
We truly enjoyed our stay in Jesse’s home. He was very responsive, polite and gracious! We loved the location of the home. Being a few blocks from Main Street was so convenient. The house was lovely, spacious and having 4 bathrooms was a huge plus. Our favorite part of the house was the swinging bed on the porch! It was an amazing place for relaxing, conversation, morning coffee and nightcaps. We hope to rent again next year! Thank you Jesse!

Great location, lovely home
We had an amazing stay in this house. We brought a multigenerational family (6 people, age range 3 to 73) and everyone had a great time. The outdoor spaces on the porch and in the yard are as nice as the house itself and while quiet at night, you're just a 5 minute walk from Main Street. Jesse was a wonderful and highly responsive host. Highly recommend.

Amazing location for a perfect vacation
We rented off season over Christmas. The house was in the perfect location to walk to town for window shopping and town beaches for walks by the shore. The house was ideal for our family to spend time together but also delightful retreats that provided space for all! Loved playing games by the fire, watching movies in the TV room, and baking Christmas cookies in the gorgeous kitchen! This was the perfect house to spend our vacation!

Playing Tennis on the Island
We came to play tennis on the Island and enjoy the ambiance. We found the location of the house to be perfect for getting to the club and restaurants. The house was large and accommodated our needs. It is in the process of being updated, so there were some minor issues with lighting and bulb replacements, but the improvements are very nice. We appreciated staying on the Island for such a "doable price" and would recommend staying in the Captain's house. Thank you Jesse. Lgg

Everyone loved this house!
This house was a great find for our family. We were not familiar with Martha's Vineyard and planning a trip from NC with my 90 year old mother to attend a family wedding on the island seemed daunting. Two bedrooms are on the first floor. One is quite large and the other is quite small but each have a private bath and comfortable beds. Two more bedrooms of good size are on the second floor. One has a private bath and the other, with twin beds, uses a hall bath. Every room is tastefully decorated and charming. Dishwasher, dish, and laundry soap were on site and each bed was made up with fresh sheets. Towels and toilet paper were not provided. The kitchen had everything needed...even foil. We enjoyed sitting on the newly redone front porch in wicker rockers. A theater/game room is located behind the garage and separate from the main part of the house. The owners are in the process of putting a walkway in on the side of the house which will make it easier to get into. This is within walking distance from the charming Main Street and the ferry terminal and also centrally located on MV. While there we discovered that there is bus service from Boston Logan Airport to Woods Hole Ferry. Martha's Vineyard has superb bus service all around the island,(and Uber...of course). That is an interesting travel option vs. renting a car. Several family members stopped in to visit with my 90 year old mother, loved the house, and expressed interest in renting it at a future date with their families. We may do that as well!

Great MV Stay. Excellent location. Wonderful Amenities.
This property was perfect for my annual MV vacation. Close to town and away from traffic. The porch is amazing, rooms well appointed, yard perfect, back deck is great for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The amenities, including the movie room in the back is the best! The surround sound is true surround sound and it is wonderful.
The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are great. The house has everything a family would need including toys, a pack n play, and beach chairs/equipment.
My family of six enjoyed staying here and we would stay again if it is available.

Great house, great location!
This house was clean and cool (central a/c). We were 6 people and had plenty of space. The owner was so easy to deal with and gave us great ideas for our first Martha's Vineyard stay. Would definitely recommend this property. Great location...short walking distance to Main Street of Vineyard Haven. We would stay here again on our next MV visit!
