Lovely home for relaxing. Screened in porch room the best. Very well equipped and comfortable. Very attentive hosts.

Overall, my stay was good. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was when I was looking online to find a house this one said that it had laundry. What it doesn’t state is you can’t get to the washer and dryer from the house. You have to go around the back of the house and there’s a seller door open from the ground. When I went to go try to use it. There are very heavy cinderblocks on top of the doors that open to the basement from the ground and I couldn’t even move them so I could not do laundry. That was a little disappointing, but overall everything else was OK. Diane K

Great location, truly a hidden hideaway, loved having an enclosed porch and a fire pit, and all the necessities, a typical Cape Cod cottage, would definitely like to return for another stay !

We had a great time staying at the hidden hideaway in Eastham! The house was exactly as listed, it was a super cute little spot in a lovely and quiet location. We especially enjoyed using the fire pit. You can also see a ton of stars up here! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with dishes and utensils etc., there were lots of games puzzles and books for entertainment plus some movies for the tv. The host was very responsive and friendly as well, would definitely recommend this location!

This sweet little cottage provided us all the comforts needed for an enjoyable few days on the Cape! We found all the things we needed and very much appreciated the relaxed and unfussy atmosphere! Thank you for sharing your place!

We enjoyed our stay here! A few minor issues but nothing major. Could have been a little cleaner, and needs some updating. But overall it was a great little cape getaway spot and the owners were very communicative and accommodating. Fire pit was lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

This place is a gem. It's not big and fancy - just cute and cozy. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well supplied. The bathroom is small but perfectly suitable and we enjoyed the outdoor shower, too. Turned the heater on a few times. We loved the biking - easy access to the rail trail & a sweet bay beach just a few minutes away. Easy drive to Brewster for good coffee & also P-town for more biking and fun. Great restaurants nearby. Will definitely come back again!

Pros: very quiet location, enjoyed the close proximity to the (bay side) beach, we enjoyed walking down for evening sunsets. Sun porch was relaxing. Property owner touched base the day of our arrival which I appreciate.
Cons: I feel that the property could use some updates- faucets are rusty/grimy with build up. Deck is black with age and needs power washing. Pictures are probably old as the deck and outdoor shower do not look like that now. Some of the throw pillows on the couch were dirty/stained. The portable AC, though a god send as we were there during record breaking heat and humidity, was not set up to automatically drain and had to be unplugged ( including the air house) rolled across the living room floor and then up and over the front door threshold in order to drain several times as it filled in about 2 hours. Plus no instructions left regarding the AC, we have no experience with that type of system so really had to figure it out for ourselves.
Has potential for 5 star rating if it would present a little better. Maybe this says more about the cleaning staff than anything else.

We had a great stay as a family of 5. Listing is accurate with photos. We loved the screened porch and spent almost all our time there. Minor issues were handled quickly with homeowner. Overall a wonderful family week at the cape.

If you are looking for the charm of “old Cape Cod” like we were, this is your place. The owners are committed to keeping the property neat and clean. It’s a short walk to the local bay side beach, It sleeps four adults quite comfortably and we would gladly return. We’ve been coming to the cape for nearly 40 years and have rented several homes and cottages. This is a bit more secluded than others and worth the stay. Enjoy!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at hidden hideaway. The nearby beach was closed due to bacteria —so we didn’t get to enjoy but it’s walkable. Cindy and Jim were responsive and welcoming.

We had a great time…the cottage is clean and well maintained. Love that had tons of games and children’s books that my kids enjoyed. Cottage is in a great location, it’s on a secluded road but minutes away from restaurants, beaches, trails and stores. I would recommend it.

We were the only ones on this private little cul de sac the 2nd week in September. It was just the peace and quiet I've been searching for.
And couldn't be more conveniently located. A quick trip up Route 6 to Wellfleet for my oyster po boy happy meal at Mac's on the Pier. A few minutes in the other direction to Hemmenway landing for a half day of kayaking. Or a quick trip to the supermarket and a shoe outlet in Orleans. The walk to the bayside beach is around 5000 steps or 2 miles round trip, and a really nice stroll through woodsy neighborhoods.
The house itself brings me back to summer camp days. With an outdoor shower and screened in porch that were just fabulous.
We didn't use the plentiful games or read any of the books, but I had just as much fun organizing them all, because who doesn't do a bit of nesting in a home-away-from-home situation? And while we also didn't cook in, it looked like there were pots and pans a plenty to do so.
The bed was really comfy and so was the couch. It was perfectly cozy to curl up and watch tv at night.
Oh, and the fire pit! A great view of the night sky. And lovely sounds of early fall insects chirping and an owl too, I think.
We were bid farewell on our drive out by a huge flock of wild turkey. So nice to know that wildlife thrives on.
Looking forward to more shoulder season stays at the Cape, in this perfectly peaceful place.

We booked a last minute trip to Cape Cod and I was thrilled to find this little gem still available. Other then a glance I let the reviews be the driving force and booked. This was perfect for me as I am a sunrise junkie and the east ocean facing beach was less then 10 min drive with good parking at sunrise time and befire. The bonus is sunset on the cape cod side beach! I highly recommend Cooks Brooks Beach! It’s only minutes away and has nice parking. Be sure to be there when the tide goes out! I have never seen anything like it. You will have to look it up to read about it when you are there. Excellent learning op for kids and family. We also drove to the tower in providence and went up it, totally awesome and worth the trip. Barley Neck restaurant was amazing!!! Book a reservation, we got lucky going late. It will be years before I stop thinking of the warm cheese balls in that side salad and the beef tips. Amazing atmosphere and the kids also loved it. Last but not least my favorite part of the place was the outside shower! I used it every single time. Water pressure like a waterfall. If we return to Cape Cod we will be back to this house. Thanks again !

We had a great weekend relaxing and unwinding as a family. Cozy cottage in a Great location right in the middle of everything we wanted/needed.

Cute cottage in a great location close to both ocean and bay beaches. It feels tucked away and hidden yet is very easy to get to lots of places. The hosts are super helpful and friendly; they were responsive to questions and checked in with us to see how things were going. The pictures are accurate but it's hard to tell from them that the main house not including the porch is around 500-600 sq ft - we had a chilly, rainy day when the porch felt too cold and damp, and it was pretty cramped inside with two rambunctious young kids! But on hot days when we could hang out on the screened-in porch it was a fine size for us. The screened-in porch was great and felt cool and breezy even when it was 95 degrees. The outdoor shower was really nice and we used it a lot (the bathroom shower is quite small). Washer/dryer worked well. Kitchen had everything we needed and more and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. Plenty of fans included and because of the shady yard we never needed the AC. Lots of games and a surprisingly large & good collection of kids books are included especially for elementary age kids. Furniture is either new or in very good shape. We didn't end up using the outdoor areas much but the fire pit and deck looked nice. Cook's Brook beach was new to us and it's perfect for little kids; we went every day and really liked that we could get down there so quickly when the weather improved.
As a general note for other renters, I think the house is better set up for elementary age and up kids (we had to relocate some decorative items and small furniture like a glass-topped coffee table for our stay because of our four-year-old) but that's definitely not a house problem, that's an us problem, I just include it because I've found similar comments helpful when looking on VRBO.
I'd recommend this cozy place for couples and small families with older kids, or small friend groups. It feels like you're staying at a friend's house, not a sterile rental company house.

Our family had a great time staying at this cute Eastham cottage in a great location. We enjoyed reading and playing board games on the spacious screened-in porch and enjoying the ample outdoor areas, such as the fire pit and the deck! The owners were very responsive and an ease to work with. We had a great vacation on the Cape!

A Hidden Treasure
Our family needed a convenient place to stay for a wedding and we also wanted a little vacation time… This little home was perfect! We could come and go as we needed and everything was close.
The hosts were very pleasant to communicate with in every way! Thank you so much…
We would definitely love to stay here again sometime and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a ‘hidden treasure’ on the Cape! 😉

Great beach house/camp-style close to beaches
The property was perfect for a 3 night stay for 2 moms needing to get away!
This is definitely a beach house/camp style of house. It is not luxurious by any means, so if you know that going in your won't be disappointed. But it does have many great qualities. The location is perfect: easy walk to the bay side beach and an easy drive to the Atlantic beach side. Easy drive to Orleans for groceries and easy drive to P-Town (about 20 minutes in good traffic). We loved the screened in porch and the fire pit. The bathroom is adequate but very small and basic. Everything inside was very clean if not in need of updates here and there.
**Please don't forget to bring your own sheets and pillowcases and towels (bathing, beach, and hand).
Overall, a clean, convenient, cute camp. Just make sure you read the description and the look closely at the photos and you won't be disappointed. (PS-if you are counting on using the 2 bikes, you might want to bring your own tire pump. The tires were flat and we didn't have a big enough vehicle to bring them to the bike shop, so we couldn't use them.)

Another great visit!
This is our 2nd time staying at this cabin, and it was again perfect for us. We played games in the evening, the kids read books in their bedroom during quiet time, and the sun porch was a lovely place to eat our meals and spend some quiet adult time. Thank you!!

Great for an off-season break
Exactly as described - great for a quick off-season Cape vacation. Heater worked well on cool evenings and the screened in porch was beautifully warmed by the sun during the day. Kitchen well equipped. Problem with wifi on arrival was rapidly fixed by owner. Many thanks.

This cottage is on a dead end dirt road surrounded by trees. Private but still close to many restaurants, shops and sights. 30 min drive to Provincetown. The cottage had everything we needed. Kitchen fully equipped for cooking meals. Lots of outdoor space. The outdoor shower IS amazing and I used it my entire stay, even in the rain one day. Great stay!!
