The king sized bed is very comfy and the rain shower is very luxurious! The ceiling fans and rammed earth walls stop the chalet from getting too hot in summer. The property is right in the forest which is what we were looking for.
The bird life is amazing! The bird baths have been very thoughtfully set up next to trees, with timber stumps creatively arranged for the birds to land on and flit in and out of the bird baths, there are low growing flowering shrubs placed and trimmed so that you can easily see the birds.
Very relaxing!

Such a lovely place to stay in between Margaret River and Augusta. We were able to visit local caves, lighthouse and stunning beaches all within an easy drive. The property is cool in Summer and well equipped and appointed with everything you need for a relaxing, private and comfortable stay. The private outdoor areas and birds coming in every morning to drink and cool off in the bird baths were delightful.

A 3 night stay was just enough to put us in to holiday mode at this beautiful, secluded chalet in the bush. The sturdy rammed earth walls and fire made it cozy through the last cold nights of winter and we enjoyed walking through the nicely cultivated bush native garden. This was a perfect time for the wild flowers and we saw lots of birds enjoying the place too.

We felt at home the moment we entered the property. There was a generous supply of fire wood and the cottage was soon toasty warm. The cooking utensils , pots pans etc were very well stocked and the cooker and oven were very efficient. Even though it was cold and rainy we enjoyed watching the birds and rain from all windows. We will be back and will tell our family and friends of our wonderful stay.

We had a beautiful stay here while doing the cape to cape walk. How wonderful to come home to a jacuzzi after a long cold wet hike! With wineries so close it’s perfect for exploring too.

The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. Extra marks for providing heaters in addition to the wood-burning fire.
The grounds are fabulous, plenty of beautiful native trees and plants and loads of birds.
Will definitely stay here again!

Jewel is a very comfortable cottage with premium finishes and furnishings. It's surrounded by a lovely native garden that is clearly a labour of love for the owner. The garden and bird bath are visited by a variety of birds. The cottage is in a great location to explore the nearby limestone caves and sections of the Cape to Cape walk at the coast. The nearby cafe Pies & Ale is just a few minutes walk away and is worth a visit. Nice food and ambiance. Altogether we had a delightful stay at Jewel.

Very well equipped property, beautiful decor, fantastic setting. Good bed, large shower and a washing machine. Loved the bird baths with a constant stream of birds visiting. So entertaining. Just walking around the large property was like a nature trail. Our favourite rental so far.

A cosy stay in a lovely, peaceful corner of the world. The chalet has all one needs to stay in comfort while feeling immersed in the local bush life and well away from the hustle and bustle of our working life days.
Try to avoid driving on Caves Rd from late afternoon to early morning as the kangaroos are very active in that time and so easy to have a collision with one of them.

The property was absolutely amazing. The location was exactly what we were looking for. Secluded and in nature but still close to towns and attractions. Will definitely be back

Beautiful Birds and Comfy Chalet
A truly delightful stay in an immaculate, beautifully decorated and spacious chalet with everything you need right there. The highlight was the amazing birdlife right at the front door with the self filling birdbath. We had the best time identifying all the different birds with the little bird book. So relaxing right in the heart of the Boranup Forest.

Beautiful grounds!
Our family enjoyed our short stay. The peaceful surroundings were gorgeous and the cottage had what you needed. At least 15 mins to shops so come prepared. Plenty to do in the area. Limited phone reception at the property though. Telstra better than Optus but still drop outs occur. Nice base to explore the region and caves are close!

Flexible and helpful
Our trip to WA had to be cancelled due to border closures but Ines was helpful and flexible in transferring the booking to our relatives in WA and we received a refund because of the reduced number of guests.
We’re looking forward to visiting next time.

Time away from the hustle and bustle
We had a wonderful stay at Jewell Cottage Boranup Forest, privacy without being totally isolated. It was wonderful to have a wood fire on a cold winter night. A good central point, not to far from the local amenities. The Yardbyrd cafe in Witchcliffe serves a nice coffee and breakfast.
