Superb

Don't let the weird entrance confuse you (I was at first!), this is a great value Hostal, very clean, with A/C and an incredibly nice and helpful hostess, would definitely visit again. While it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the center, it's very close to the airport (5 minutes with full backpack and all), so if you fly in and/or out of San Cristobal, I especially recommend staying here. A lavanderia and a mini-market are less than 5 minutes walking distance away.

The WiFi basically didn't work in my room but it's the Galapagos and I didn't miss it much.

Bed bugs. The owner entered multiple times in our room without asking.

Great staff, air con in the room, clean

Suicide shower, check out at booking.com till 18:30 but in fact is till 11am. Also you can take snorkeling equipment for free, but it is sad to find out at the location that it is not really working 😔

Exceptional

Everything was absolutly fantastic! Good location near airport and city centre. You can walk to darwin bay and other beachs like playa mann (only 30 minutes). Free water to drink, snorkel equipment is free to use too. Maria is a wonderful person! The room has a/c to refresh the air and there was cleaning service everyday.

Superb

Free usage of snorkel gear! Otherwise the place was very clean, well located next to the airport (7min walk) and not far from Loberia, one of the better beaches for snorkelling. Also appreciated the flexibility of the host when I changed my plans last minute.

No complaints really, everything was as I hoped for. Internet was bad, but that is quite common on Galapagos.

basic but fine stay

the staff were very nice, gave us free water and snorkels. they even let us off the first night we didn’t show up for due to a missed ferry

Airport stay on San Cristobal

Good location, easy walking distance to both centre of town and airport. Access to kitchen facilities and free water refills.

Room was advertised as Deluxe Queen room but was, in fact, a very basic double - so although adequate, did not meet or fulfill expectations.

best value for your money

I got a very nice single room with my own bathroom and hot water!! the house is very well located on walking distance to the airport and the malecón, perfect location. it has a kitchen and several supermarkets and restaurant around. the room has towels and the host are very helpful and friendly. if there is any issues they try to fix them quickly and accommodate everything to help you. I’m very happy with my stay at case de Alexis and I can only recommend it

Very good

First we weren't so happy with our basic room upstairs. The bathroom is outside of the room and could be used also by guests from another upstairs room. Then the friendly host promised not to rent out the second room during our stay, so the bathroom will be still private. It worked out perfect. Since upstairs there is a kitchen, dining table and comfortable chair. View over the town and a lot of light. We made ourselves some meals there and enjoyed our stay.

Upon arrival all downstairs rooms were full. They have private bathroom and are more nicely decorated and colorful painted.

Very good

Very kind owners! The room was nice, clean, had a nice shower and a comfortable bed. Super close to the airport (10min walk).

A little bit far from the town center, but still easily accessible (5min walk). Wifi was not very good (which I think is difficult to find on the Galapagos).

Very good

The room was comfortable, nice hot shower. Staff were friendly. It is also a close walk from the airport, to save money on taxis.

The property wasn’t signposted, so difficult to find. Also, the wifi didn’t work. It was also very noisy at night, with dogs barking and a cockerel clucking. But we found this to be the same everywhere in the Galapagos, bring ear plugs!

Cheap place to stay with good location.

Good location, 5 mins by walk from the pier. My room was clean. Climatisation works really good (be sure you have climatisation, because not every rooms have climatisation in this hostel). Wifi was fast (if I compare with other hostels in Galapagos, not always easy to have good WiFi in the islands).

Really basic and old hostel. No sign on the building to know it’s a hostel... But if you are looking for a cheap place to stay in San Cristobal, that’s a good place to stay. Cold water, but you don’t really need hot water in Galapagos.

Lovely and helpful staff. The hostel is a 5-10min walk into the center but there are lots of shops and eating places nearby. The rooms are basic but on suite. I had a great time there
