The location was perfect, the beds comfy and loved the theme and all the handmade quilts. Kids had a great time with the games. It has lots of stairs, which is not a problem unless you are on crutches. I would stay again, I will be off crutches. Some garden level basements have ground level entrance, and I assumed that, so it was tough to navigate for me. The china was beautiful and the same set that my Mom has so that was fun.

We enjoyed staying at this place during the AF Academy Parent's Weekend. The drive out to the area is beautiful and easy, and we loved this VRBO! It is roomy, super clean, has comfy beds, and was very relaxing! Laura's communication was excellent! Overall, a positive experience, and we would stay here again!

5 stars all the way! During our stay we had everything we needed and more. Beds were comfy and the swing set and trampoline were fun for the kids in the evening. Everything was really clean and Laura checked in on us several times. Great place to stay with a family and we loved the activities around Colorado Springs.

We really enjoyed our time together in Laura's adorable basement apartment. Laura was an amazing and responsive host for the duration of our Christmas stay. The layout of the house was perfect for our party of 6 plus dogs - very comfortable. The kids also enjoyed the use of her spacious yard! Can’t wait to return the this incredible retreat. Thank you!

Headed home after a week of camping, Laura's property seemed like the perfect place to rest up, clean up, and meet up with family before heading back home. What a great place - super clean, kid- and pet-friendly, nice quiet safe neighborhood, lots of greenspace and nearby to all the conveniences. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking her place on our next trip to Colorado. Thanks Laura!

My highest priority in a rental is cleanliness and safety. This one is super clean and well maintained. The neighborhood is very quiet and felt safe. Laura left lots of lights on for when we arrived after dark. We stayed here for USAFA Parent’s Weekend. It is a little further from campus but so nice to be away from the crowds of this weekend. We enjoyed the restaurants that are close to this neighborhood. Laura was very helpful and easy to communicate with!

Great place!!
For the same / less cost of a hotel room, we had more room and amenities! Process of going through the garage was easy. Perfect for a kids tournament we had at Air Force Academy fields (15-20 mins away)

Exploring Colorado Springs
Our stay was amazing. We are a family of six. Even though this property is a basement, it doesn’t feel like a basement at all. It had lots of natural light with a good amount of windows. The bed in the master was big and comfortable. All four of our kids enjoyed the second bedroom where they each had their own bed.
The one bathroom was not an issue at all. Nobody felt rushed or crowded. There is also plenty of towels provided.
The kitchen is stocked with everything needed for cooking and warming food. It does not have stove/oven. It does have a two burner plug in that I was able to make scrambled eggs on for tacos. We used the toaster oven also and there’s an air-fyer.
Now, to the backyard. If you have kids, they will love the backyard. It has a very nice trampoline, playground, hammock, and fire pit. The amazing host, Laura, let us know she was lighting the pit one evening. Our kids had the best time roasting marshmallows and entertaining Laura with stories.
Laura was the best host we’ve ever had for a vacation stay! Communication was fantastic and easy. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone.

Great place!
Lura was fabulous to work with. Always timely responses to anything I asked her. This property is great and affordable. Another plus was the play structures in the back yard. Baby was a bit too young for them but if we get to come back next year, they’ll be perfect! You literally have everything you need except an oven. But who goes on vacation to cook?!? Not us!! We will definitely be staying here again!

Beautiful home away from home!
We stayed in the Falcon Hills area as we were visiting family. This home turned out to be less than a half mile away from who we were visiting. Perfect! Loved the little kitchen area with a microwave and every small appliance one would need. It was perfect! It was so nice to feel like we were home with all the quilts around. Perfect!

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. The backyard is big enough for kids to run around and play on the the trampoline or play structure.
Very easy access to to some main streets to get you where you need to go!
A little away from the main parts of Colorado Springs. but an easy enough drive to get back to major highways, etc....

Wonderful home!
We really loved staying here. It was very clean and comfortable. It’s easy to check in. We were visiting friends in Colorado Springs and felt like it wasn’t a very far drive. We were also close to grocery stores to get things we forgot! Laura was really wonderful. Even though there isn’t a kitchen, it didn’t feel we were missing anything thanks to the kitchen appliances available like the Keurig, mini fridge, and microwave. We would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for myself, my husband, our teens, and our baby.

A beautiful home, plenty of space to spread out, and a back yard that will keep your young ones active and happy -- this awaits you if you rent this marvelous property just east of Colorado Springs in the Falcon/Peyton area. Our family of 13 - 6 adults and our seven grandchildren ranging in age from 4 to 19 - were together for our 50th wedding anniversary and it was the perfect place for us. Laura was a gracious hostess and even had a neighbor look in on us to see if we needed anything. The neighbor was friendly and fun and welcomed us as though we were family. The property was a "home," not just a "house" we rented. We felt at home the minute we walked through the door. The beautiful art work and the inspirational and positive messages that are a part of the decor really spoke to my heart. Everything was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for us. -- The backyard was one of the things that caught our eyes as we looked at rental property and it was everything we hoped for and more. The younger children played on the trampoline, the playground equipment and the zipline. The older ones had fun with the tether ball and badminton. We enjoyed the cookout on the large back deck in the cool Colorado weather. The property is beautifully landscaped so we had a photographer come to the home and take family pictures as a remembrance of our time spent there celebrating our anniversary. Laura's home has a nice piano which our granddaughters enjoyed. Our family gathered to sing which was a nice memory. We also enjoyed gathering together in the huge family room to watch the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympics. If sightseeing is your forte, you will enjoy many opportunities to go places in the Colorado Springs area that are just minutes from this fabulous property. If pizza or pasta is one of your favorites, don't miss Fargo Pizza -- it was great.I realize this review is full of praise, but it is everything I've said. I don't think you would ever regret renting this home for your family. It is beautiful, it is spacious, and it is a perfect place for children. If you do rent it, I wish you joy -- I know that is just what you will experience.Thank you, Laura and your family, for opening your home for others to enjoy. As we left on Saturday morning, we all said, "Good-bye, wonderful home -- thank you for such a great time!" -- Perhaps we will be fortunate enough to go there again some day. What a treat!

Wonderful home, very clean! Laura was delightful to work with.
The backyard was a big hit with the kids. The home is very clean and organized. We had plenty of room with our large group. We came to Colorado Springs for a wedding. The property is far from main part of town but worked well for our wedding location. The beds and linens are nice. Large family room in basement with TV for teens to gather. Laura provided a closet with tons of board games. Garage is small and my Yukon XL would not fit. Very quiet neighborhood with a great park within walking distance. Great home for families with children to stay.

Lovely home
We loved this home! This is a beautiful home and the kids loved the back yard. With 5 bedrooms and three bathrooms, it was the perfect size for our whole family. Laura was fabulous to rent from and made us feel very welcome and we felt right at home. We would highly recommend this home to anyone and if we ever make another trip to Denver, we would rent it again!

This house was in a nice community and and had a very cozy space!
We had two families staying in this house during our week's stay. Having 2 levels in this house made it very convenient for everyone to have their own space. The owner was very accommodating and was personable. At first I was concerned with the location, but later realized it was a very nice, quiet community and perfect for relaxation after several activities throughout the day. I would highly recommend this house for a relaxing vacation near Colorado Springs. Overall, it was a wonderful vacation experience!! Thank you!

Wonderful Home for a Vacation with Family!
We spent four nights in Colorado Springs with our four kids. This house worked beautifully! It is meticulously clean and offered plenty of bedrooms and space to spread out. The back yard offers a plethora of activity options for young children up to adults. Our four teenagers loved being outside playing volleyball or badminton, jumping on the trampoline, zip lining, and playing basketball. It is located in Peton, Colorado which is a suburb of Colorado Springs. It took about thirty minutes to drive into Colorado Springs for activities (90 minutes to drive to Royal Gorge for rafting and the zip lining there). We usually ate breakfast at the house, drove into town for our activity and lunch and then spent the late afternoons and evenings back at the house. The kitchen is well-stocked and easy to use. (There is a Safeway, Walmart, and Walgreens within a ten minute drive.) During our stay we hiked and had a jeep ride in Garden of the Gods, rafted the Arkansas River, visited the Royal Gorge Park which included zip lining and other fun rides, rode the cog rail up to the top of Pikes Peak, and rode bicycles down from the summit. We enjoyed it all. When asked to rank their favorite activities of the vacation, all four teens listed playing in the back yard at or near the top of their lists!! It was a delight to work with Laura.

Great place to stay
This house is wonderful. We chose this house for the backyard and are so glad we did. It have the kids something to do when we weren't on the go. They never watched TV once. I will say however a note to the owners just to give a little advice from
Avid travelers. A TV in the master bedroom or family room (or both) would be nice. We like to wind down after a day with 5 kids and check up on the latest news etc. We brought our blue tooth speaker and played music from our phones while cooking and what not, but an option here or there for some background noise would be awesome. :). Also maybe a list of local restaurants in the area that you recommend added to the guide book! But that's just us. The place is great!!!

Family fun
This was our first trip to Colorado. Our family vacation consisted of six adults and three children. We were very pleased with our accommodation. We had plenty of space to all get together in one area or have our separate space to get away when needed. The house is clean and well maintained.
The selling point for this property is the outdoor space. The deck is spacious with a swing for three, table and chairs, grill and chiminea and still space for our 15 month old to run and play. The back yard is a playground for all ages. The kids loved the zipline, fort swing set and trampoline while the adult kids had volleyball tournaments each evening.
As a family, we like to take turns cooking our evening meal. The kitchen is well supplied with cooking essentials; pots, pans, etc.
The location makes it easy to get to attractions. You can be to most major attractions in 30 - 45 minutes.
I would highly recommend this property.

Best backyard for kids!
We found this home to be exactly as advertised. Our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed the zipline and trampoline in the backyard! There was no reason for us to leave the house and explore Colorado Springs but we did enjoy Focus on the Family, the airiplane restaurant, Olympic training facilities, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave of the Winds, and Pikes Peak. The collection of games and books available to us was extensive and family friendly. We never lacked for something to do! The homeowners were very accommodating and understanding when a strong hail storm came through the area. Our family ties were strengthened during our stay, and we left with more precious memories to cherish! Thank you for the wonderful accomodations for our family reunion!

Graduation USAFA
I really enjoyed our stay, the owners went out of their way to be available if we needed. We didn't need it. I had my extensive family stay for my sons graduation, and they had a backyard heaven for the few "kids" that came to visit, the volleyball net was a hit. The "big" kids loved the dominoes. My older mother had knee surgery, so the front steps to enter the house was a little challenge, but once inside, the master bedroom and shower with a seat was perfect. The beds are tall, so a quick stop down the road and Walmart supplied a step for mom. Grocery shopping, liquor store and a few restaurants conveniently located nearby. This house is located about 30-45 minutes from USAFA, and was just what we wanted. Close enough to get there, but private enough to enjoy the quiet and beauty of Colorado. The wild rabbits are just a plus.

Peaceful for Adults !!!FUN!!! for Kids
It's obvious from other reviews that this is one of those well-kept, clean, hospitable VRBO's in the Colorado Springs area. What set it apart from all the others was the TREMENDOUS back yard! Wow! We loved our stay, and with the perfect Colorado climate, we didn't even want to be inside (though that was comfortable, too!)
Huge deck and chiminea and huge pile of wood for us to sip a drink together and enjoy a deck swing with Big Sky to view while in the yard, our two kids enjoyed their own private park. The jungle gym is made of REAL wood--not the stained, fake stuff that makes you feel like your kid is going to crack a beam--and the adults could even swing without making it creak.
The trampoline--safe with all the nets and pads--was a hit, and best of all--can you believe it?--this yard HAS A ZIP LINE!
We had to convince our kids that we really did have to actually leave the rental to go enjoy the city and events we came to town for.
My idea of a GREAT VACATION is one where everyone there enjoys the time just the way he or she wants to. For us, that means being in a place that our kids get their energy out and be relaxed without OUR having to babysit them at the hotel pool or sit amid the crowds full of other people's kids. And nothing could have been better than returning from a full day of events and letting the kids burn off the last of their energy while we adults could just crash on that lovely deck and talk and rest. WOW. Perfect blend of fun and relaxation.
And everything inside was great, too. :) I just want others considering a trip to the Springs to know why this VRBO is so special.
And if you don't have kids? Well, I still recommend trying the zip line. :) With main floor sleeping, it's a great layout for parties with elderly who don't want to negotiate stairs, and with 2 beautiful living areas (plus that deck!) it's also great for movie watchers downstairs and quiet visiting time away from the noise on the main floor.
Finally, we LOVED the open floor plan. When we have our big group together, and we split up the cooking days to take turns making dinner for all, it never felt like anyone was left to do the work alone. The chef for the night was just as much part of the party as anyone. And yet with all that space both indoors and out (including a sweet bench in front that is surrounded by flower beds and feels so cozy!) those who needed some down time could easily find a quiet place to re-charge.
