The location was great for quick access to the beach. A cute little park across the street. A quiet neighborhood. A little dusty and cleaning could have been a little tidier. But overall not too bad of a stay. A great location.

Property very clean
Plenty of room. Wish is there was another bathroom or powder room but we knew there was only one. Nicely equipped. Plenty of parking.

Very satisfied, great location for a bunch of old friends to get together for a weekend.

Spacious home, pretty comfortable for our family and convenient location. (A second bathroom would be nice though!) We arrived right before a big snowstorm and the bedroom with a balcony had snow blowing in under the door, which couldn’t be stopped with a towel, hopefully something can be done to weatherproof it better or at least add a weighted item to seal along the bottom of the door. There is one bedroom with 2 queen beds, (so 4 queens total), which can be seen in the photos but the description only listed 1 queen per bedroom.

At first I thought it was nice....
but then when I checked out after 10 days I still didn't get my $200 deposit back. I sent a text asking for an update on my deposit. Eventually the lady replied, she said "it's a bad time" rather than reply with an update or even remotely try to answer my question, she just says "its a bad time" and nothing else....
after that she ignored every text message I sent and every time I called she ignored it. Because of this I had to contact vbro and report them. They sent an email to her requesting for an update on my deposit and then and only then did I received my deposit back more than 10 days after I checked out....
I tipped the cleaning crew $40 and left the place immaculate. This people are a huge disappointment... I would not trust them, they would have ripped me off had I not called vbro to file the complaint. Plus now they are currently under investigation by vbro for this type of shady activity.....
thank you don't come again 😉

Great location and nice space.
We liked the rooms and loved the kitchen. The area is nice. There was only one bathroom, which at times was inconvenient for 5 people.

Lakewood rental
Overall ok, but two big negatives
1. Kitchen did not have enough cooking utensils
2. No propane grill, as promised

Great family gathering spot
In CLE for family reunion. The house was perfect for those of us from out of town. Very clean and great location.

Very Nice and Comfortable Home
We very much enjoyed our stay at this home. We found the furnishings to be comfortable and the home very clean. Communication was timely with a quick response from the property manager. While we where there, the internet did not work at all so she gave us a discount on our stay. They were working to update the wiring but couldn't make it happen while we were there. While the location is very good, please note that you are directly next to the train tracks. While it didn't bother me as I am heavy sleeper, it was very loud and did wake up my husband several times. Not a deal breaker for us but something to be aware of. We would return again providing the internet was fixed as we were unable to watch any TV or use any personal devices requiring internet service. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your home.

Great place for Cleveland visit
Good location, local restaurants nearby, easy to get downtown, house was really nice and clean, all appliances in great shape. Others: two houses from train tracks (freight train came through around 8 am, once at 4 am), no automatic dishwasher, communication with renter spotty (never responded to several calls made, including day of check in).

Game Day
Property was clean and well kept. We were only 12 minutes from the downtown waterfront and the Browns Stadium. Would definitely rent again when we come back.

Property manager never responded to calls/texts about an issue
Lakewood is a wonderful, older suburb of Cleveland. It is filled with many older homes that have been updated with loving care. This is not one of those properties. The furnishings were comfortable and it was fairly clean except for the grimy mini-blinds. The exterior is in need of painting and an updated kitchen would go a long way to make this property more comfortable. Our biggest issue was the kitchen light did not work and repeated calls/texts to the number listed for the property went unanswered. (It wasn't a burned out light bulb.) We loved Lakewood but would hesitate to stay here again unless the owners take care of some deferred maintenance and become more responsive to maintenance calls/texts.

Nice little spot
In town to visit sick parent and needed a space that was our own to decompress. This location had all the amenities of home and allowed for resting after some long days. Will be looking to book again when we are back in town!

Very clean and comfortable
The home was very clean and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. Virtually anything we needed was provided. It’s helpful to keep in mind that it’s an older home, but we thought it was charming and the rooms were much larger than they looked in the pictures. The neighborhood was very quiet but there are many restaurants and stores within walking distance. We’d definitely rent there again.

Perfect location
This location was perfect. We were in town for a wedding and we were close to the venue as well as restaurants and a park for our granddaughters. The rental was clean and supplied everything we needed including toilet paper and paper towels which was appreciated

Lots of room!
Nick was a good communicator. Beds were comfortable & clean, as was the bathroom. Nice neighbors. An easy 8 minute jog to Lakewood Park & Erie, felt safe. Kitchen was well equipped, and the dining room table was perfect for cards! Only suggestion would be to have directions for TV use, we were a bit challenged there. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks Nick!

Lot of Space, Built Like a Tank
For other travelers, I like to provide my pros and cons:
Pros: Solid house; active train tracks around the corner, but you would never know it; awesome original wood floors and original architecture & woodwork; close to Lake Erie & Edgewater Park; easy to get to downtown; plenty of room for triathlete gear; TV, cable, & internet access; communication with owner/manager was flawless; dedicated parking spot behind the house;
Cons: listing does say air conditioned, but it is not central and window units tend to be noisy; cleanliness of floors a bit sketchy - I spilled some water on the wood floor in the kitchen and wiped up with a paper towel, paper towel was pretty grimy - in addition carpeted stairs are not very inviting
Overall - I had no problems and would stay here again if the situation warranted it

Great!
Came in for a wedding with my brother, sister, daughter and her husband. Every went well. Nice place, good location. Was a little worried when it was hot on entering, but turned on the window a/c units and the place cooled down quickly. Very nice linens on the beds.

Everything but parking
We had a couple vehicles. Only room for one or two in driveway. We had my elderly father. It wasn’t a good set up for him. Too many steps. Parking around corner. We pulled in to park and ga $25 ticket for parking facing the wrong way.

Given wrong address for house
By accident I was given the wrong address of rental. It resulted in having to get a room at hotel at the last minute. Owner did give refund for missed night and cleaning fee.

Just what we wanted
Clean, quiet, spacious, well-stocked, great location, supremely crisp, clean linens, comfortable beds! What more could you ask for, particularly for such a good price?
Additional notes:
* This is a duplex. Half of a very large house. So you do share some walls. But we seemed to have some college-students or young adults on other side and couldn't hear them one bit.
* Front door IS tricky, as others have noted. In springtime weather, we found the key was to NOT pull it shut too tightly to get the deadbolt to engage.
* Instructions we received noted to park on one side of the driveway, but the posted note inside the house said the other side. We asked Nick and never heard back. We had people on other side park behind us one time, probably because they got same conflicting info, so might want to clear that up between the two units.
* Curtains or more serious blinds over the windows in the bedrooms would be nice, to block out street lights and morning sun better.
I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The pictures on the website do not give justice to how homey and nice this place is
First walking into this house was amazing. I did not expect all the amenities and hominess of this house! Nick is amazing to work with even let us check in and out at earlier and later times. We had went out to buy toilet paper and paper towels and seasonings and things you wouldn’t expect to be in a rental. I was amazed there was even shampoo and body wash on top of all the things we bought not expecting to be there. Amazing amount of cleaning supplies on top of a very clean freshly smelling house! Our experience with this house and nick was amazing and when we make a trip to Cleveland again and need an overnight stay I will definitely go with nick again! I really couldn’t thank you enough nick for the great experience we had. This is also the first time I have personally rented out a property and you have set very high standards for anywhere else I may go other than Cleveland
