This is a wonderful cabin. Downstairs was a little musty but we kept the dehumidifier running. I would stay here again.

Downstairs was not clean, lots of dog hair. Front door broken, gas grill would not get hot enough to cook our burgers. But the mountains were amazing and the grandchildren had a blast.

Nice property in a good location. Only missing a little better view. We all enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was decorated perfectly (in the upstairs area ). It was tidy and welcoming. The loft was cozy and nice. The two upstairs bathrooms were clean. The master bedroom shower head didn’t work properly, a hose like stream of water was all it gave when showering, which was disappointing, otherwise the bathroom was nice. My main concern about this property and disappointment was the basement area. It smelled musty. The air quality wasn’t the best and I was disappointed to say the least. Cental air and heating with air purifiers would make all the difference in the world for that.
Overall, we had a nice time at this cabin. All the everyday needs for cooking and entertaining were included.

Great location, loved the fireplace and the wood and starter logs that were provided

The house was much darker and stuffier than I had expected. It was clean and had plenty of plates, glasses, towels and extra sheets. I bought air fresheners for the basement hoping that would help. The landline and our cell phones had no coverage in the house. Plenty of parking.

The house was perfect for three couples. We enjoyed the convenience of the location for hiking.

The cabin was great and exactly as described. We have stayed in the area before many times and knew what to expect. The only problem was a couple of light bulbs out that needed to be changed. The service man came an changed the bulbs after we reported it.
We would definitely chose this cabin again. The only thing that we wished it had was a hot tub, but everything else was great.

Very good trip. The TV controller in the master bedroom missing. Would use it again. Southern Florida people. A little worn, could be updated.

Great time with family! Pictures reflect the property! Hot water works great, I read a bad review about the hot water taking too long, but for us it worked great.

Nice cabin, very roomy. It did need some “spring cleaning”. Lots of dust on fans and ceiling beams. Overall it was just fine for what we needed, just wish neighbors weren’t so close. We are used to staying at more private cabins.

The area was quiet and beautiful. The home was very spacious and roomy, however there were so many things to be desired. The basement was musty and damp, indicative of water damage, causing sinus problems for a family member. The plumbing seeps into the basement bathroom bathtub, there were spider webs everywhere. Light fixtures were dusty. I’m sure this place has been visited but it’s like no one has lived there in years. The furniture in the living room was dated and there was animal hair everywhere! Someone there before us had left clothing items, left utensils very dirty. Only one of us out of 9 had cellular service. Had to go down the mountain to make and/or receive calls. Overall, we made the most of the situation and enjoyed the attractions, the friendly people and just being together.

The property is staged very well in the pictures. Overall clean. Beams were dusty and we found water damage in the basement bathroom. No AC, to my surprise. Was told “know one up here has any” then the 2 rentals next to us had AC. Lol smelt musty when we opened the door and had to bring fans with us to circulate the air. 3 of us in our party seemed to not feel well and get cold symptoms while staying there. While the property around was beautiful, sitting outside was not as expected. The decks, both front and back were full of dirt and cobwebs and in need of a good power washing. Our neighbors front porch was beautiful!! Overall we made lemonade from lemons and had a great time due to amazing friends!!

The cabin was pretty much just like described in the listing. We loved the location and neighborhood. Took our dogs for walks several times each day and the road wasn't too busy. The cabin was spacious and perfect for our group (4). My mom slept upstairs, our son slept downstairs and we slept on the main level. The main level bed was pretty comfortable. Our son said the one downstairs was pretty bad. The cabin overall was well maintained but could use a good deep cleaning. There was a lot of dust on the light fixtures, top of refrigerator, and under the furniture. There were stains on the carpet but I think they had been cleaned because they didn't smell bad.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Rainbow's End and would definitely consider staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay, the cabin was great and very roomy. The only thing was the kitchen needed restocking (more drinking glasses, can opener that works, and new ice trays) and not all the lights worked in the cabin. We would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great and convenient to all the activities we wanted to do. (Hawksnest, otter falls, Linville Falls, Boone) The house itself has some flaws but it’s easily overlooked when you realize how great the location is. Great value for the price. It even snowed while we were there and that just made our experience that much better.

The cabin was perfect for our family of 8 - with appropriate sleeping options for young and old. The log cabin community was quiet and secluded, yet close to major vacation objectives in Linville, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk. Nicely equipped and everything worked.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Rainbow End. Everything was nice and clean and....cozy. We will definitely rent again since my daughter is a student at Appalachian.

Very convenient to Valle Cruse and Boone, Grandfather Mountain and the Parkway!

Poor check out procedures. You have to wash, dry and put a way dishes, so many things to do before you leave. Everything is cheap. Give just bare minimum. Ex. The toaster, knives....no trash bags, foil in the burner but none to use. Tv in bed didn’t work. Couch smelled like pee.

The cabin was just what we were looking for. Convenient location just minutes from Banner Elk. The check-in and check-out process was as easy as it could be. We would definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

Great location in Seven Devils. Close to Hawksnest, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Boone, Valle Crucis, and Blowing Rock. There is no real outdoor space around the cabin to explore or hang out since it’s in a neighborhood and I kept having to tell the kids to be quiet to not disturb the neighbors. You have to drive to the ponds advertised in the pictures. The stove gave us issues during our stay (one burner sparked on us and tripped the breaker) and could use an upgrade/ replacement. The property managers did respond quickly to our report to fix the issue though so that was a plus. The downstairs area was musty smelling as mentioned in other reviews, but we didn’t use that area much so didn’t impact us. The spring mattresses were an adjustment, so would definitely be an upgrade to get a new mattress at least for the master bedroom. Kids could care less in the other rooms. It was dim so lighting upgrade would be a good idea as well. Overall the layout of the cabin and location were good. A few upgrades would make this place great.
