Concert or couple’s trip, food tasting tour or other Austin adventure—no matter what calls you to Daniel House, happiness awaits. Located just steps from downtown, this chic, skyline-view vacation rental gives you front row seats—and easy access—to weird and wonderful Austin.
While it makes for a great launching-off point to explore the city, Daniel House also provides everything you need to rest and recharge at home. Deluxe amenities, concierge services, and serene, designer living and sleeping spaces are just the start of what makes this place truly one-of-a-kind.
Enjoy the view. And what a view it is! In the observatory-like living area, watch the skyline twinkle through huge windows as the sun sinks. Or visit on special holidays (like New Years and Fourth of July) to watch fireworks sparkling over the city from the deck. Even the master bedroom's soaking tub features a skyline view.
Eat like an Austinite. Dine like a local by asking our knowledgable local team of reservation agents to point you to the best of the best in Austin—from breakfast tacos to BBQ to eclectic eats. Feeling creative? Find fresh ingredients at the local farmer’s market and whip up a feast in your gourmet Gaggenau kitchen...or use the Big Green Egg ceramic charcoal cooker for at-home BBQs.
Prepare to explore. Head to the skyline-view deck and get inspired with the whole city laid out in front of you. Grab a cold drink from the outdoor bar and plot your next escapades.
Wander freely. With downtown just outside your door, boredom is impossible here. Stroll to Zilker Park, Lady Bird Lake, or Barton Springs Pool for fun in the sun or on the water, or catch a show at Long Center for Performing Arts or Palmer Event Center. Taste test your way through Restaurant Row or indulge in retail therapy at South Congress shops.
Rest up in style. Every good trip is part excitement and exploration, part rest and relaxation—and Daniel House strikes the perfect balance. In the sumptuous king-size master suite, enjoy a private deck and spa-worthy en-suite bath and couple’s shower. Six more bedrooms feature king and queen beds, blond-wood floors, and generous natural light.
This is a stay you can feel good about for many reasons; another is that this is rated a five-star green home by Austin Energy, thanks to its use of natural/recycled materials and energy-efficient lighting and insulation!
Per the city of Austin short term rental ordinance the following rules apply to every vacation rental within city limits, with no exceptions: 1) Outdoor spaces are not available for use from 10 PM to 7 AM, 2) Parties and events are not permitted, 3) Occupancy limit of 6 unrelated adults

This house exceeded my expectations. The house was in a great location, very walkable, with a gorgeous view of downtown. The house itself was modern, functional, and full of the little touches you love to see in a VRBO (baskets of throw blankets, board games, a well stocked kitchen).
I didn’t reach out to the host during the stay, but they were very communicative prior to check in.
I would highly recommend this property.

We loved the house! From day one, we were so comfortable and enjoyed everything it had to offer. The living room is the ideal place to have a glass of wine and catch up. Everyone had their private space in the well-appointed bedrooms. The kitchen has all the amenities needed to create anything from a basic snack to spectacular meals. We ate out most nights but did cook up some really great breakfasts before we ventured out for yoga, hiking, shopping, breweries, restaurants, and live music (and more!).
The weather was so-so, and it was nice to get back to this house, which felt like a sanctuary. It doesn't hurt that it is right around the corner from Terry Black's BBQ and El Alma... Don't hesitate to book this gem.
Side note - our group had 2 cars and they fit in the (very steep) driveway. It may even fit a 3rd if that is important to your group.

The house is big and beautiful. Location perfect - close to downtown and river walks. The view from the livingroom large window is great.

Spacious house with plenty of common space, bedrooms were nice if a bit oddly configured (one off the kitchen). Best part was the walkable location!

The house is very well-maintained, has a great vibe and is in a great part of Austin. Be prepared for the management company to gather info on all adult guests (cell phone, email address, DOB, etc.) and for a cleaning crew to come every morning (around 9am) with a card that says if you don’t let them in, you’ll be charged an extra $100/day.

The communal living area in this house was fabulous. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open concept creating a perfect gathering spot. The piece de resistance though was the large glass wall in the back with spectacular views of downtown Austin. The elevated deck just beyond the glass was another wonderful spot for gathering.
We had 7 family members staying there. You can sleep more, but as in all Austin rentals, there are a couple of bedrooms that are less ideal. One with no windows in the lower level that shares the primary bath and one with pocket doors off the kitchen. But both are still beautifully furnished with comfortable beds. The primary bedroom and bath are huge and dreamy.
The location of the house is fantastic. The house sits on a quiet residential street with pretty houses tucked behind businesses. We walked to a wonderful coffee shop called Carpenter each morning and there is a delicious BBQ spot, Terry Blacks, right around the corner. It seemed all our events were less than a mile away.
We would highly recommend this rental. If we come back, we’d stay there again.

We all loved this house! Our group was 12 friends and family and it was perfect with lots of room to move around and in a fantastic location in walking distance to Terry Blacks and El Alma, two of Austin’s most delicious restaurants! Lady Bird Lake is also in walking distance. The house is comfortable, well appointed and stylish with a gorgeous view from the large back deck. We particularly liked the huge combined living room, dining room and open kitchen which made it easy for us all to spend time together. The kitchen is great for cooking with everything we needed. The beds are very comfortable. The airconditioner worked great during the Texas summer heat. We had a problem with the ice machine and WLVR had bags of ice brought to us the same day, which we really appreciated. It’s really the perfect place for a group in the heart of Austin.
Things to note that aren’t clear on the listing: one bedroom downstairs is windowless (but nice and dark and with a big comfortable bed) and another is right off the kitchen, which is potentially loud for someone trying to sleep while others are in the kitchen or living room. There is only one street parking permit for the whole house and the unusually steep driveway only works for one car, which means if you have more than two cars, someone will have to park farther away as street requires a parking permit.

This house was had the best bedroom layout for couples going on a trip to Austin. Everyone has their separate rooms and then can gather in the huge living/kitchen area. Tons of sitting and great outdoor patio. We explored all of Austin and loved this location. Thank you!

We are a small corporate team of 7 people and needed a quiet place to work on upcoming team objectives. We needed a big open area, separate bedrooms, and a location central enough in the city to allow us to go out in the evenings for some fun. This house hit all of the criteria, and then some.
The house itself is beautiful; the city skyline view, the decorating themes throughout the house, the gourmet kitchen and wet bar, everything was designed to impress at first glance. Everyone on our team, from the president down to the event planner, was impressed!
The bedrooms are all well-decorated and comfortable. The outside space is stunning with its views of the city skyline, but not so close to the street as to create any noise. The main living space is perfect for meetings, all the chairs were comfortable and perfectly spaced so that people who wanted to work from the table could work close enough to those who were kicking it on the couches.
If we are ever in need for a small team getaway again, we'll be checking availability at the Daniel House first.

Celebrating a 60th Birthday and a 30th Wedding Anniversary
We cannot rave enough about this stunning property. We spent 10 days here during the Austin City Limits Music.Festival celebrating my husband's 60th birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. The house was able to accommodate 12 of our family members, each couple having their own bedroom. The second night, we had a chef come in to make dinner and we were able to eat together as a family in the large and open dining/living room, with no one relegated to a "kids table". The location of the house is simply perfect--right on Auditorium Shores, within walking distance to Zilker Park, loads of restaurants, the Congress Street bridge for bat viewing, and miles of walking and biking trails around the river, Town Lake, and Shoal Creek. We did not need a car for most of our stay, opting instead to either walk or take short Uber rides everywhere. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we and our chef needed (except groceries, which the host could have had stocked for us but we wanted to shop for ourselves). The bedrooms were very comfortable with luxurious linens and towels and each bedroom had some sort of music theme, reflecting what we love most about Austin, the live music capital of the world. The view from the deck of downtown Austin was unparalleled and we spent literally every morning and evening marveling over that incredible view! Our hosts were very communicative and even had a warm and personal note, a fun welcome "howdy" sign, and a bottle of wine waiting for us.
We got married in Austin 30 years ago and this was an amazing way to relive those memories and create new memories with many of the same family members who attended our wedding, and some of the next generation who were experiencing Austin for the very first time. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Austin.

Weekend Girls Trip
This property was perfect for a quick weekend girls trip. Plenty of space in the living room area for lounging with guests. The living room leads to the outdoor deck which has views of downtown Austin. The master bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was huge! The house was updated with very comfortable beds, new kitchen appliances, and a large wine cooler! Highly recommend staying here for a girls trip or with a few couples!

An Austin Rendezvous
We brought our family together from the far corners of the US to celebrate Thanksgiving. We could not have found a better house. The huge kitchen and family room was the focal point of our stay. Either for food pick up or for those of us who like to cook. Seven bedrooms was far more than we needed and the views of the Austin skyline gave it a magical tough. I highly recommend this house!

Great meet up location
Our group from all over North America got together for a great weekend. We even had a few friends stay at a near by hotel.
It’s close to the park and river activities and a scooter or uber to downtown. After smelling the BBQ in the backyard we had to cater dinner one night from Terry Black’s BBQ.

Family of 10 Loves Long Weekend Stay
Our family recently gathered in Austin and loved every minute of our stay in the Daniel House. The home is beautiful and so comfortable. Its large open floor plan was perfect. It was our 37th anniversary and, in the midst of COVID, we spent much of our time INSIDE the house. Everything was perfect and we'll definitely be back the next time all 10 of us can get away!

Great meeting location
This home worked out very well for our corporate trip. We originally rented this home as we could all be in one place for our nightly reviews of daily meetings. It worked great with the setup of floors and separate bedrooms.
We ended up having some of the meetings in the home, as it was well set up and so much quieter than the location we originally planned to use all week. It was very convenient for all involved and a LOT of work was completed.
With a quick Uber or Lyft anywhere in the city, it was a breeze for us to go out to eat or have it delivered. And with so much to see and do nearby, that several have mentioned coming back soon.
For breaks, there are great shops and some great trails within walking distance. It was a nice neighborhood, so no worries about walking around to get a breath of fresh air. We even did the walk across the bridge to downtown and really enjoyed it!
I would say the best thing about the house was the space. Even with only 1 per bedroom, some homes can feel tight at times, and we never had that feeling here. Everyone had plenty of space, didn't feel crowded, even during meetings.
Another great feature was the management company. The ladies were great to work with, lots of knowledge about the home. This isn't one of those companies that has never seen a house they are renting. They were able to help us with the concierge service so we had supplies already there when we arrived, and no one had to make that dreaded trip to the grocery store. We were also able to set up lunch delivery through them when we decided to move the meetings.
Overall, our week was a success and it was due in part to this home.
Thanks, we'll be back!

Great Home and Super Location
First, thanks to WLVR for the help in this stay. It was a real pleasure working with you!
This home is impressive from entry through the entire stay. High end appliances were a joy to cook on and a full size fridge and freezer (Separate!) had enough room for drinks, food and more. Plus there's a wine fridge and bar fridge at the bar, if you really needed more space. (We couldn't even fill the fridge!)
The spaces are wide and open and we never felt crowded while still being able to talk to each other across rooms. There's even enough space to get away if needed!
My big thing is always the beds - nice sheets, extra blankets on the bed depending on your comfort level, great pillows and the towels were thick!
I found the whole home to be great, but I can't even describe the view. It is fantastic - and if it's cold (or hot), you don't even have to go outside to enjoy it. The whole backside of the living room is windows and it was really spectacular at night.
Lastly, there is location - this home is centrally located, and close for those in my group that wanted to exercise in nature and those that wanted to shop til their hearts content. And then it was an inexpensive Uber to downtown dinner for us all.
Thanks for sharing this home with us. We will be back!

TERRIBLE - DON'T RENT
The structure is cracking in almost every room and has an approximate 4" grade in the great room. It appears to be unsafe to inhabit. Roach droppings in kitchen drawers. Roach ran across kitchen countertop in middle of afternoon. Oven was filthy. Hot water minimal in kitchen faucet. RO faucet in kitchen doesn't work. Jetted tub in master doesn't work. TV in great room difficult to use. So many leaves and mud on driveway we had difficulty getting the car up the steep embankment. Floors around toilets are yellow stained. Only 2 appliances: coffee maker and blender. Obvious bridal parties as male anatomical glasses are in the wet bar even though website says no bridal parties. Weak internet connection: 5.54 Mbps download and 4.70 Mbps upload. Don't stay here.
