You could not have a more central place to explore Bilbao. Close to all public transport. Great facilities, washing machine, full stove. i stayed one month. Mikel the host was always helpful, available and willing to share knowledge of area.

Lindo apartamento con vistas de Bilbao durante el atardecer. El apto tiene dos dormitorios, un sala, cocina y un pequeño baño y esta muy bien provisto. El servicio de Mikel al recibirnos e indicarnos como movernos por Bilbao fue excelente.

El piso es acogedor y está muy bien situado, al lado mismo del casco viejo y el mercado. Llegamos muy tarde y Jon Mikel fue muy amable de esperarnos y explicarnos todo lo necesario. La amabilidad de su gente, el ambiente y la comida hicieron el resto.

We had a great time here last week. Mikel was a kind host and spent almost an hour explaining the best things to do in the city and how to travel around cheaply. There is a great view over Bilbao from the apartment and we had some amazing sunsets. The apartment has a variety of dvds, computer games and books in several languages. I feel the apartment was exceptionally good value, especially compared to hotels and other apartments at a similar price point in Bilbao. The apartment is centrally located and on the edge of the old town (Casco Viejo), so it is very convenient to return to the apartment during the day and head out again. Although it is on the top floor on a hill, there are public escalators on the hill, and there is an elevator in the building.

We had a fantastic stay in Jon Mikel’s appartment. The appartment was nicely furnitured, very well equipped and very clean. Jon Mikel was the best host we ever experienced. He gave us the best possible information where to go in Bilbao and surroundings, supplied us with a prepaid card for the public transport and was extremely attentive in any respect. If we could give six instead of only five we would give them for this location. This is the place to go!!!

Una pequeña fortaleza en un enclave excepcional, fronterizo al casco viejo de las siete calles. Típica calle empinada representativa del más autentico Bilbao. La casa es acogedora y viva, genuina y auténtica como su propietario Mikel! Dispone de todas las comodidades, es funcional y de fácil acceso. Con ascensor a pesar de ser un edificio de principios del S XX, logro increíble para estos edificios con solera. Vistas a la ciudad de 180º. Cerca de todo y con transporte público casi a pie de calle. Su propietario Mikel es un anfitrión excelente, ilustrado, enamorado de su ciudad , atento y disponible en cualquier momento, facilita la comunicación para cualquier duda tanto si es por su propiedad como por otra cuestión ajena en la que te pueda ayudar u orientar. Gracias por tu hospitalidad, por la energía que transmites y por tu contribución a que la estancia del foráneo sea tan cercana e integrada en la ciudad. Ha sido un verdadero placer hospedarme en tu casa que la he sentido como mia! Espero volver!. 100% recomendable !!!

Nice and cosy top floor appartment (with lift) right next to the old town and with a Carrefour supermarket at the start of the street. The appartment is well equipped and has nice views. It is a little walk up hill but there is an escalator part of the way. The area is not good for parking so we parked at Saba next to the train station a good 10 min. walk away. Mikel welcomed us and gave us tips for sightseeing with reference to his fine and abundant collection of turist brochures.

Bien situado y con todo lo necesario

La torre tiene muy buena ubicación, cerca del casco viejo y también del tranvía para desplazamientos. La casa tiene todo lo necesario, muy completa. Nos han dejado más allá de lo básico en la cocina, como café, leche, azucar, aceite..Hemos estado muy cómodos. Algún pequeño inconveniente como alguna ventana que cuesta cerrar, pero nada importante. Lo recomiendo.

The apartment is as the pictures show. It is a great place for a single person like me or a small family. The elevator makes it easy to take your luggage in an out. The location is perfect for getting around the city. Jon Mikel Aquirrre is a most accomodating host. He was available to me for a problem I had and made it much less stressful.
