About this house rental
Fabulous lake views overlooking a quaint marina. Just a block walk to Sanders Beach for your daily swim or a hike over Tubbs Hill to downtown Coeur d'Alene. Our 90 year old cottage has 3 bedrooms, two baths, a sizable kitchen and large living area; over 1,700sqft.
To accommodate all types of parties, the house includes one king size bed, one full size bed, a futon, a queen convertible bed, three twin-sized beds, as well as an open loft area. The area upstairs has low ceilings and is especially adored by younger children. The outdoor deck overlooking Tubbs and the water includes a hot tub and barbecue.
Our 90 year old cottage has 3 bedrooms, and two baths. The sizable fully stocked kitchen and large living area both look out over the lake. Our little lake cottage has been extended over time to over 1,700sqft. The large outdoor deck overlooks the lake and Tubbs Hill; it includes a hot tub, dining table and barbecue. The sleeping areas include one king size bed, one full size bed, a futon, and three twin-sized beds.
Video walkthrough can be found on Facebook at Cottageonlakeshore. We recommend viewing the walkthrough as our quirky old lake Cottage has a very practical but unusual layout. Particularly note the entrance and low overhead for the small 3rd bedroom (two twins), also note there is no bathroom on the 2nd floor.
To relax after a long day in the outdoors we also provide a full entertainment system with LCD TV, sound system (yes, you can plugin your own device!), unlimited streaming movies/TV via our provided Netflix subscription, AppleTV, and a DVD player. Note only basic cable is provided.
The Cottage is set up well for families, with lots of open play space. Board games and books have been provided for all ages, beach toys and beach towels. We also have gates and a pack n' play available.
*Please also note the 3rd bedroom is a small finished attic room, on very hot days it has a hard time maintaining its cool and can require additional fans which we provide. Also, there is no built-in clothing storage.
Located on the quiet side of downtown it is a short walk to the downtown center of Coeur d'Alene. Just off Sherman Avenue you will find coffee shops, restaurants, wine tasting, shopping, live music and a vibrant art scene. As you walk past the downtown core, you’ll find the City Park; Public Beach (with stationed life-guards); the popular Fort Sherman Playground; and boat, jet ski, kayak & canoe rentals. Lake cruises, seaplane tours and para-sailing are also popular summer activities for hire.
The Coeur d’Alene area is home to several golf courses, ski resorts, water parks and the popular Silverwood theme park. Golf courses include The Coeur d'Alene Resort, Circling Raven, The Highlands, Avondale and many more. There are also many well maintained extensive bike trails including, The Centennial Trail, The Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes and The Hiawatha trail. Nearby ski resorts Silver Mountain, Schweitzer, and Lookout pass are within an hour drive.

This is one of those rare rentals that met every expectation and more. It felt like home.

Perfect location! Steps away from the beach and Tubbs Hill and a quick walk to downtown restaurants and shops. The girls loved the access to the lake and the freedom to walk around in this quiet & safe neighborhood, the dog loved the little coves to splash around in the water and taking naps on the warm rocks and the wife and I loved the calm, simple life of the area and watching the moon move across the lake at night from the patio. Would highly recommend!

We loved the location of the property and were able to walk to most activities. We had the opportunity to enjoy many of Lake Coeur d’Alene’s well known adventures and hope to return.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect location.

Great location! Close to water, hiking, and town.

We came to CDA for my brother’s wedding. This cottage was a perfect location for us, as our kids are very young so being close to hiking and the beach made our visit to the area so much easier. My girls, ages 5 and 4, loved the tiny room that was just the right size for them. It’s a prime location and it had everything we needed.

Had a great time. No complaints!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Just one issue was I always felt we were being watched. Cameras on the outside of the house, real-estate office and mothers house all facing property. Other than that I recommend this property for family.

The house and location were perfect. The house was very nicely stocked.
It would have been nice to have sponges for washing pans. The corkscrew was broken.
We had a lot trouble watching tv. The host was very responsive and tried to help, but we ended up having to use my log in. This procedure should be simplified with very clear step by step instructions.
Overall, we loved our stay and would be rest this house again.

Cute house right across from the lake. Beds could be updated (not comfortable/no support) but overall great stay.

We had a great time!

Our first visit to CDA was amazing! The house was lovely and well stalked. Owner was responsive. Favorite thing was to hike over Tubbs to The Bakery downtown, then walk back through the beautiful neighborhoods to hit the hot tub! 90 min Lake cruise was relaxing. CDA is perfect for a Girl's Trip. Upstairs occupants over 60+ might be challenged due to low ceilings and staircase.

The location was exceptional and such a spectacular view of Lake Coeur d’Alene. The hot tub was awesome after a long day of a bike ride or a hike. Beds were very comfortable towels and linens were very nice. The amenities were all correctly detailed and we really enjoyed the property would stay there again.

This is a top notch location! Close to water, great walking, perfect location to trail head, and magnificent restaurants. House is quaint, clean, homey and comfortable. Thanks, we will return.

Lakeshore Cottage was the perfect location for our stay in Coeur d'Alene.
Just steps from the Tubbs Hill trail head and Sanders Beach, the cottage was clean, well-stocked, comfortable and charming.
We loved the lake views, the hot tub, and the neighborhood filled with gorgeous homes. There were many restaurants and shops just an easy 15 minute walk away.
Communication with the owner was fabulous. Her description of the property is accurate.

Our stay at the lakeside cottage was very enjoyable. The location was great and the accommodations perfect for our family. The cottage is very comfortable and homey.

The house was great. Due to the smoke we could not enjoy the outside, however the house was great for games!

Property was great. Busy area. Great place for people watching, getting out to tubbs hill and water. Walks etc. easy and short distance from town. Quiet neighborhood at night. I was to old rom limb up and down stairs for a smaller bed so ended up in King with bathroom. My grown children and their spouses slept upstairs. Got a little warm for them. So busy never used hot tub or cooked a meal in the house. Had a great time on patio under the trees.lovely town.

Everything was as stated in the listing. Gorgeous views of the lake. Excellent value for our group of 6.

Interesting layout, but it fit a lot of people. Great location. Next to lake, walkable to town, hooking nearby

The house was very cozy and clean, and just what my husband and I needed for a mini vacation. We especially enjoyed drinking our coffee looking out onto the lake.

Great house, great location, great host!

The cottage is perfect location with great views. The walking distance to downtown was just amazing. We had an issue with the hot tub not working, however, Jihan was able to refund some $$ and get us back on track the next day. We couldn’t figure out how to get the TV’s regular channels to work, but the Apple TV was easy to use. I’d say the place has one true bedroom and partial bedroom space upstairs. Really nice views and good location for walks and the trail nearby.

This property was in excellent location right across from lake and near interesting downtown areas. Communication before rental was complete and timely making move-in for our 3 nights stay smooth. Highly recommend this property to groups up to at least 6 adults.

We had an amazing time. Really enjoyed this house. Very clean and welcoming. We plan to return.

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our need as a base for our silverwood trip. Wish we had more time to just relax at the house and explore the trails and water right out the front door. The host was great and answered all questions quickly and the house was clean and well stocked.

Our 2 families had a great time at this cottage. It's ideally located, steps away from Sanders Beach for a quick dip and Tubbs Hill for a great hike, but also easy walking distance to all the action on Sherman Ave. The layout is a bit quirky upstairs but we had plenty of room and fun. Our favorite thing was hanging out on the porch to have coffee and meals and watch the water. Owners were responsive and easy to work with.

Everything was great: location, number of beds available, amenities, view, communication, etc! We loved the cottage! There were so many different places to sleep people who did not want to share a bed did not have to! The upstairs area was small, but we loved the spaces - one of the upstairs rooms had a nice lake view and we loved this little room. It is very close to downtown and Tubbs hill. We loved having the hot tub. I could go on, but long story short, this is a great place to stay!
