The house was spacious and clean. Our hosts were quick to answer our questions and were very accommodating. Would definitely stay again. There was a 100Euro additional charge to use the hot tub, but well worth it.

Very clean and comfortable. Nice location

We all enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this old typically French house with its corridor’s and staircases.
The kitchen was fine for the four of us but would be a squeeze for larger groups.
The garden and hot tub were just perfect to relax in and with such lovely weather, we spent most evenings at the table in the garden playing board games. I wouldn’t assume that you could work on line from this house as the internet service was poor but for us it didn’t matter.
The village is perfectly situated for visits to the beach, local restaurants and the War Memorials. I would happily recommend this as a holiday home in a beautiful part of France.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Normandy. We were 2 families with 3 teenagers, 7 in total. The setting was absolutely lovely, with space for all.
David and his wife were there to meet us and walk through the property. They answered all of our questions and were very helpful overall.
The home is full of charm and character - a very unique experience. We rented a car and were able to see many of the sites and beaches, which were an important part of our trip.
We would definitely stay here again.

We wanted a nice house to stay in while in Normandy, not in a big city. This was perfect! A renovated 1800 century home with all the modern amenities. We had rental cars and toured all the local sites from this location. It fit both rental cars. The owners are amazing and so helpful too! We highly recommend this house.

Lovely area, and perfect place to explore the Normandy Beaches. We did our excursions by bicycle and found that there are many dedicated cycle routes which was nice.
The property is a little quirky because it is old, but comfortable. We were 6 adults and it was perfect for us. There is room for more, but you would need to be couples, kids, or very good friends!
The kitchen is small, but equipped with most things you would need.
All in all, would recommend

The house was comfortable and well arranged for two couples two singles and a small baby. We ate most meals at the house and all though the kitchen was a bit smaller than we expected and missing some equipment, it served us well, and there was plenty of space at the table outside, in the dinning room or in the kitchen to eat as a big group. We used the hot-tub and the back garden every morning and evening. The location is perfect if you have a car to explore the region. When we had any problems or questions the hosts responded promptly.

The house is charming and the garden, although a bit overgrown, is nice and sunny. We were a family of 14, 9 adults and 5 children so it was rather worrying having only two toilets and two showers. I honestly don´t know how, but we did manage quite well. With a bit of patience and good-will, I suppose. No problem with the parking: The big van just in front of the house and the car in the parking spot up the road.
I do recommend the early morning walks into the village to get fresh croissants at the "boulangerie".
The situation of the house is ideal for visiting Caen and Bayeux with its famous tapestry. Not to mention the beaches, memorials of the soldiers who fought in the Second World War. The American Cemetary is overwhelming.
To sum up, it has been an unforgettable holiday, specially so for the children who had a great time while learning a lot of history.

In a fantastic spot quite beautiful friendly , perfect for visiting and remembering all those soldiers who fought in D-Day and World War One and two. House is stunning a few little issues not advertised is the parking is not directly outside the house but it is only up the road. There is 2 toilets but one is in the front with a door But very little privacy . You cannot use the wardrobe in the bedroom nearest the bathroom upstairs . The third floor bedroom
Has a bed and a pull out settee it's a beautiful room but only has a sink and shower not good for anybody who has a disability as it 3 stories up , and navigation the stone steps has left me with very sore heels after falling down them. It's a struggle with 12 people for the toilet. We was a party of 12 and two of the children had to sleep on the sofa down stairs in the front room not practical. I would say it's better for a party of 6 . It's a beautiful house defiantly in the right area to the beach shops and the Bayeux Tapestry.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ver-sur-Mer. The house was just as good as it looks in the photos - lots of character, but clean and comfortable. Nathalie was very responsive and helpful both before and during our visit. The garden is a little smaller than it looks in the photos, but it is a sun trap and we were lucky enough to be able to sit in the sun from breakfast at 7am until dinner at 8pm. The village of Ver-sur-Mer was surprisingly nice and had a lot of character. Despite the house being surrounded by other houses it is very quiet and the garden is very private with lots of birdsong. The village is very spread out and there aren't many local facilities - a basic boulangerie, mini-market and tabac about 15 mins walk away. The beach is about 30 minutes walk, though we did cycle a couple of times - 2 or 3 of the bikes work, but most have faulty brakes and/or gears. The nearby town of Courseulles was nicer than expected - it has a lot of holiday apartments but also lots of nice restaurants and a good fish market every day. We bought fresh fish in the market several mornings and barbequed it for lunch and dinner - very good prices for excellent fish, filleted and prepared for cooking by the fishmonger. The local seaside towns are clearly popular with French holidaymakers, but we saw very few other English cars or foreign tourists. The surrounding area is very rural, with huge wheatfields and combine-harvesters and tractors working 20 hours a day in August. Be aware that there is NO parking either at the house or on the road immediately outside. We were disappointed to only discover this when we arrived with 2 cars which we had to park 150m away at the edge of the village. Also the local contact is a bit unreliable - even though we arrived and left at the agreed times she wasn't there either time. We had 6 adults and we had plenty of space, although there is only one toilet (two shower-rooms) for 5 bedrooms. While in theory the house could sleep 12 (or even 14 at a push) the bathroom and kitchen facilities wouldn't really cope with this. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay - the house was better than we expected and I would happily recommend it.

We had a lovely stay in June 2013 in this pretty home about a 15 min drive from Bayeaux and very close to Gold Beach. The house is as described, the pictures are very accurate. The home was very clean, the garden is beautiful and our family of 6 was very comfortable. Nathalie and David were very accomodating and helpful with arrangements and Bridget the neighbor, the local host, was absolutely charming and incredibly patient give our very poor French capabilities. The surrounding area is beautiful--we enjoyed seeing the WWII sites as well as the city of Bayeaux. We would certainly stay again.
