We were so happy with our stay here. We had an extended family visit to see puy du foy. The accommodation was very large and perfect for our big group, the grounds were beautiful and the children loved the outside space. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was beyond helpful and was very kind after my daughter twisted her ankle in the garden (entirely her own fault as she fell over a football the children had been playing with).

9 adults with 8 grandchildren between 6 and 14! We had a wonderfull time: the nine bedrooms gave us the necessary privacy, the kitchen is very well equipes, the swimming pool and the large garden were fantastic, not only for the smaller generation. Breakfast and dinner in the garden and a well kept BBQ Made means unforgetable. We can absolutely recommend this “chateau”!

Nous avons passé une semaine merveilleuse lors des vacances de la Toussaint au château de la Flocellière grands-parents, enfants et petits-enfants. Une décoration très soignée ,des chambres spacieuses, des pièces de séjour spacieuses , une cuisine équipée qui permet de faire des repas pour 22 personnes sans effort, un salon qui permet le télétravail.... La proximité avec le Puy du Fou, Nantes, tout cela et bien plus encore ont permis que ce séjour reste inoubliable .

Nous avons passé un weekend d'exception dans les magnifiques mûrs de ce château chargé d'Histoire et bien entretenu. Le gérant est vraiment d'une grande gentillesse, et les personnes qui sont chargées de l'accueil également.Nous recommandons ce lieu et espérons pouvoir y retourner un jour.

J'ai passé un très bon week-end où j'ai pu fêter mes 30 ans avec ma famille et mes amis. Le château était conforme à la présentation et aux photos. La literie est de qualité, accueil et sortie des lieux faciles, La piscine était partagée avec les habitants du château sur place, ce que je n'avais pas bien compris (qui ont souhaité la "réserver" à plusieurs reprises dans le week-end). Le parc était super, le filet de volley un peu abimé, ainsi que le terrain de tennis (beaucoup de feuilles, saletés sur le terrain) mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de jouer. Quelques négligences dans le château, avec des couvertures de canapé trouées, parfois des tiroirs cassés, une machine à café qui fuit... rien de bien grave mais le séjour aurait pu être facilement d'une qualité bien meilleure rien qu'en réglant ces petits détails. Au total : nous avons tout de même passé un excellent week-end dans cette aile de château de rêve, avec piscine extraordinaire! Je recommande.

Nous avons passé quinze jours dans un cadre idyllique. La Bergelière Tour est un lieu idéal pour une grande famille: tout y est accueillant: les chambres, les endroits où vivre ensemble, la cuisine bien équipée pour les grands groupes, le parc et la piscine. De plus, la région est riche en activités et animations de toutes sortes. Pas le temps de s'ennuyer!

Le bâtiment est magnifique et idéalement situé. Vous vous immerger dans une demeure familiale de charme. Dommage que le jeune homme qui s’occupe de l’accueil ne prennent pas son rôle plus au sérieux : le ménage laisse à désirer dans la cuisine et les salles de bains (four sale, vieille brosse à cheveux, flacons de produits douches vides qui traînent. Le ballon d’eau chaude non activé dans le Logis). Seuls les lits sont faits. Mais je le redis, cet endroit est magnifique et le manoir a beaucoup de charmes . Il mérite qu’on s’y arrête pour passer un moment convivial. Je recommande.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the castle.The weather was hot so the pool was essential - though we did have to negotiate times with another group staying in the other side of the castle. Coline was very helpful and easy to contact by text.

Nous sommes 18 amis qui avons l'habitude de louer un gîte quelques jours pour fêter la St Sylvestre. Le château de la Bergelière est , de l'avis de tous, le plus beau et le plus confortable. Les propriétaires sont des gens charmants et nous ont réservés un accueil des plus sympathiques. Certains d'entre nous ont l'intention d'y revenir avec leurs enfants.

Pour la 4è année consécutive, nous avons retrouvé le Château de la Bergelière pour notre semaine de bonheur en famille. C’est avec une joie spontanée que les petits et les grands ont repris leurs marques dans cette grande demeure à la fois accueillante et fonctionnelle. Et c’est désormais en habitués que les enfants profitent pleinement du grand parc - avec en prime une chasse au trésor nocturne -, du terrain de tennis et de la piscine. Au fil des années, ce lieu magnifique et son esprit « maison de famille » sont propices au renforcement des liens familiaux, ce à quoi mon épouse et moi sommes particulièrement attachés. Rendez-vous est d’ores et déjà pris pour l’été 2020 pour le plus grand plaisir de tous.

Merci beaucoup à la famille de Vaumas et de la Laurencie pour cet accueil magnifique. La décoration est de très bon goût, l'isolation phonique parfaite et la maison très bien équipée. C'est un lieu idéal pour se retrouver en famille qui permet à la fois d'être ensemble et à chacun d'avoir son espace. On reviendra sans hésiter !

The chateaux is absolutely beautiful The photos & description on HomeAway don’t do it justice Julie met us on our arrival and was very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Having the pool & bbq made it perfect for our stay The village has everything including the wonderful la relais de la bergeliere restaurant where the staff were super friendly and the food was very good

A group of 13 of us - musician friends who meet annually for two weeks to play string quartets as part of our holiday - stayed in the chateau for two weeks. We have been renting similar properties in France for many years and we agreed that La Bergeliere was 'top chateau'! It has been beautifully renovated and is generously equipped with everything you need. There are plenty of bathrooms, all working well; the kitchen is certainly the easiest we have ever had for mass catering and had plenty of oven space and big pans etc; there was plenty of scope for entertainment with the lovely heated swimming pool, tennis court and games room with lots of toys for children. People with small children would need to bring nothing - high chairs, cots, potties all there already! Being in a village is very handy for the boulangerie and supermarche, but with the extensive grounds, once in the chateau you are unaware of being in the heart of the village. There are good cycle and walking routes both directly from La Flocelliere and also a short drive away. We were warmly welcomed and felt any problems we had would have been sorted out - but had no problems! The only thing missing (for musicians) was a piano, so we had to rent one for the period, but that was easily arranged on the internet.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end (3-4 jours) au sein du Château de La Bergelière où nous nous sommes retrouvés pour une réunion de famille. La propriété est très spacieuse (nous étions 23 (10 adultes et 13 enfants)), agréable, confortable et décorée avec goût, tout ce qu’il faut pour y créer une atmosphère conviviale. Très joli parc également… Enfin, la proximité du Puy du fou et des collines vendéennes en font une destination d’autant plus intéressante. Possibilité de bénéficier d'un service de traiteur sur place, ce qui allège la logistique du quotidien. Propriétaire très sympathique et réactif. Nous recommandons vivement cet hébergement, que nous n’hésiterons pas à relouer si l’occasion devait se représenter.

Contact avec le propriétaire et la personne qui accueille très agréable et efficace. Propreté parfaite, lits faits, tout matériel à disposition (yc électro-ménager, Wi-Fi, télé). Idéal pour nous qui sommes des familles d'amis avec enfants de 0 à 15 ans. Nous on en profite pour rester sur place pour moments conviviaux, mais à 2 pas du Puy du Fou, bonne idée de sortie). Encore très contents cette année d'être retournés "au château".

My overall impression was that it was a beautiful place with an enormous garden.

We were a party of 12 plus a baby. As mostly adults we did fill it up as a few rooms had smallish beds for children so glad that we didn't have 21 adults as the description suggested. We were in one wing of the castle while the other owners lived in the other side but shared the grounds. We didn't meet the host of our part and were shown around by the cleaners who didn't speak very good English so I did rather miss being able to ask about the area or recommendations for visiting. The kitchen was a good size and on the few inclement mornings we sat at the three tables in the kitchen. It was well equipped so we could cater for ourselves. There was a beautiful dining room where we ate one night. There are two long tables but our 12 just fitted around one of them. The sitting room was a little small for our number with only 2 settees but the weather was beautiful so we spent most of the time outside in the wonderful garden which was equipped with a lovely heated pool, a tennis court, a volleyball net and swings. I hadn't realised that we would be sharing the garden but as it was so vast it wasn't a problem. The bedrooms were of a good size but there was only one toilet on each of the upper floors although some of the rooms had showers. There was one ensuite bedroom. The stairs to the upper level were very steep but luckily my mother didn't eventually come with us but my 87 year old father found them tricky. The host had said that we could use a private lift but as he wasn't there and nor was my mother I didn't ask. The village had the basics of a supermarket and bread shop but otherwise was very tiny. This property is the major feature of the village and is actually part of the beautiful church so from the garden at the back it looks like a castle but from the road it looks like a house next to a church. We had a wonderful time and would happily go again.

Après 2 séjours pleinement réussis en 2016 et 2017, c'est en confiance que nous avons repris possession cet été du Château de La Bergelière. La demeure, inchangée, est toujours aussi accueillante. Son grand parc, sa piscine et ses terrains de tennis et de volley nous ont permis d'oublier la forte chaleur ambiante. Nous avons ainsi pu partager une semaine de bonheur en famille, avec nos 4 enfants et leur conjoint, et nos 13 petits-enfants. La Bergelière devient désormais le lieu privilégié de nos retrouvailles familiales et c'est avec grand plaisir que nous nous y retrouverons l'année prochaine !

We had a wonderful stay at La Bergeliere. The chateau itself, its interior and furnishings are beautiful, as well as being equipped with absolutely everything families could want even down to tennis racquets, games for every age young and old, a pool complete with swimming/play floats, lovely grounds and a most hospitable and helpful family and staff. Being right in the little village all we needed, in terms of supplies, was right on our doorstep and in spite of rather inclement weather for the time of year, we had a holiday which, I feel sure will make our grandchildren francophiles for life. Thank you Francois and your family.

Pleinement satisfaits de notre séjour en 2016, nous avons renouvelé l'expérience cette année. La demeure et son parc sont magnifiques ! Les chambres comme les pièces de vie sont décorées avec goût et sont particulièrement agréables. Le parc, sa piscine et ses terrains de tennis et de volley ont fait le bonheur des petits et des grands. C'est donc avec grand plaisir que nous nous sommes retrouvés en ce lieu, en famille, avec enfants et petits-enfants. Bref, la Bergelière est devenu le lieu idéal pour notre réunion familiale et c'est avec grand plaisir que nous nous y retrouverons l'année prochaine !

Nous avons passé 5 jours au château de la Bergelière pour le nouvel an. Le cadre était parfait permettant à chacun d'avoir son espace et à tous de se retrouver dans les lieux de vie communs. Le parc est superbe. En hiver, c'est quelque chose... en été ça doit être différent. Et l'aide apportée pendant le séjour a été très appréciée.

Ever been on holiday/honeymoon for a week in the same house with a few different families totalling 18 adults, 2 toddlers, 3 dogs, 6 cars and approximately 42liters of champagne? For some it sounds like perfect bliss, for others, a complete nightmare. With a bit of planning and a great bunch of people, I can safely say that it turned out as perfect bliss. While thinking about how we were going to go about this adventure we explored a few ideas - a centerparcs type holiday with multiple cabins, but that would mean cabins rather than chateau grounds. We explored a much larger property surrounded by vinyards with a 3km drive way tucked away in the hills - but what about those not driving who wanted to potter around. The idea was to have a central base where we could all come together but in a location where we could each have a mini holiday. After a while lotta search parameters and filters, I came across Chateau De La Bergeliere in a small town called La Flocelliere in the Loire Valley. It was a match made in heaven. With rolling grounds, tennis courts, a pool, woodland and enough luxury rooms to contain us all AND the added fact that it is so central that the entire town surrounds the castle grounds it seemed perfect. Then, I took to street view, there I found a restaurant, two pubs, a grocer and patisserie shop. Done! We had a perfect week away and on one of the days my partner and I were married in a small garden ceremony beneath the tree! François, the home owner, was fantastically helpful - he recommended a wonderful Chef (ask Francois for Noel's details!) who came in and cooked and served an excellent meal that we truly loved. In all, it was a perfect week made ever more perfect in such a beautiful location! Francois, your home is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing it!

We rented this lovely castle for our Wedding for about three days. The castle owner were realy welcoming. We had access to all the castle rooms and could celabrate the wedding in a really beautiful environment. The owner didn´t stay during our stay and this allowed us and the guests to feel like home. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the barbecue a lot. We celebrated our wedding in the garden with about 160 guest. I can only recommand you this castle in a beautiful and quiet city. All our guest were delighted!

Toutes les conditions étaient réunies pour que nous passions un formidable WE entre amis. Cette location est le paradis pour les enfants (jardin immense, balançoires, bac à sable, piscine, tennis, salle de jeux, etc.) mais aussi pour les parents ! Une très belle rénovation, de l'espace, du calme et une seule envie : revenir l'année prochaine.

Fin de semaine idyllique, un cadre et un confort plus qu'agréables ! Ce fut un week-end magnifique ! De grands espaces, un superbe jardin, mes amis et moi avons pu profiter de ce château dont on sent qu'il a une âme familiale, chaleureuse... des souvenirs étoilés !!!
