About this house rental
Permit # VR20-0019. Max 6 guests. Welcome to our tranquil Desert Oasis. Desert Hot Springs is a close 10-15 min drive to Palm Springs and just a bit further from all of the charming desert towns throughout the Coachella Valley. Nestled in the foothills of Joshua Tree National Park it’s perfectly located between the bustling desert cities (and countless world renowned golf courses) and just 30-40 mins away from a secluded hike amongst the Joshua Trees. What we absolutely love the most is the magical hot spring water in DHS!
We’ve made the entire house accessible for guests except for one owners closet and one owners cabinet. There’s a smart garage door opener, keyless Schlage locking system and we have the alarm accessible on our cell phones to make check in a breeze. We also have co-hosts and vendors close by to help in case you need hands on help with anything. There are three bedrooms with feather duvets and high quality linens and extra snuggly Barefoot Dreams blankets & robes for those chilly desert nights. We have an additional air bed we haven’t listed as an extra bed but it’s on the premises and available for use. There are two full bathrooms with all of the amenities, extra towels and black make-up washcloths to make laundry a breeze (a personal favorite of mine). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay as convenient as possible. Relax and enjoy the beautiful panoramic desert mountain views and exquisite sunsets. Our favorite thing to do is watch the sunset in the zero gravity chairs (provided) while enjoying a cold beverage, have an evening soak in the hot springs and snuggle in to bed for some of the best sleep we’ve ever had. This is our vacation home and we’ve tastefully decorated with things we love including many prints from our favorite artist Michael Parkes. Some of his works artistically depict semi nude (topless) women. We absolutely love them and have small children ourselves but want to be sure if you’re traveling with children you’ve looked at the pictures in the listing carefully and feel the same way.
Desert Hot Springs is a magical town that just so happens to be a five point Earth energy vortex (a place where five Earth powers converge) and sits atop an underground water aquifer that provides rejuvenating hot springs (read more at if you’d like to learn about the energy vortex). We are just a couple of blocks from both Two Bunch Palms and The Springs, which we feel as spa owners ourselves, are the top two spas in town. Two Bunch Palms also has an amazing restaurant if you’d like to do a spa day, soak and eat a great meal. We also have a great relationship with Nurturing Nest for $20 hot springs soaks and there are of course countless places all over town if you’d like to venture out on your own. Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indio are all close by in the Coachella Valley if you like golf, nightlife and casinos or check out some of the unforgettable daytime adventures like the Palm Springs Tram, The Living Desert or a desert ATV trip! If you like shopping the valley is full of art, antiques and Art Deco shopping and don’t forget the Cabazon outlets at Morongo Casino are about 10 miles west and are second to none. Last but not least we have Joshua Tree National Park about 30-40 mins away (don’t forget to check out Intgratron on your way) if you like the outdoors. The perfect balance of Heaven and Earth! Enjoy! Noise sensors per the City of Desert Hot Springs are encouraged to have a short term rental permit and are present. exterior. Ring security cameras on all both entry doors for your additional security.

A couple of weeks and enjoyed every minute. Hosts were pleasent and accessible with a check in to ask if everything is going good. We are looking forward to coming back. ❤️

I brought my sister to Desert Hot Springs for her birthday (we're both seniors), and we really enjoyed staying at the Desert Vortex Retreat. We only used two of the three bedrooms, but all had ample space at the end of the bed to do stretching in the mornings.
The kitchen was well-equipped, as were the bathrooms, and the sofa was very comfortable. We couldn't sit outside because it was super windy, as it can be in the desert, but we enjoyed excursions to The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for hiking up at 8,500 feet, and Miracle Springs Resort right there in town for soaking in several of their 8 naturally heated pools.
The neighborhood is quiet, and there are beautiful sunsets. I would stay here again, and highly recommend it!

The home was a quiet oasis with enclosed front and back patios to sit back, relax, and enjoy the serene views. They even have kumquat trees in the yard! We headed to Joshua Tree NP (go early for sunrise and beat the crowds) and also up the Palm Springs Aerial Tram (as cool as it was 20+ years ago on my honeymoon). Didn't have a long visit but we're already wishing we could be back and stay a few more days to appreciate the area. Excellent hosts. Grateful there was coffee on site. Loved the little extras added in (think heated toilet seats in the middle of the night). The beds were very comfortable and having use of the laundry and extra space to spread out was a perfect ending to our last few days in So Cal. Convenient proximity to the Palm Springs Airport. Thank you!

Wonderful stay at this property. Great location. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Host's were kind and helpful. Would definitely book it again.

This is a fantastic house. Well equipped with everything. Our hosts were super. Quick to respont to our inquiries. There were 4 of us and only 4 outdoor chairs. Kristin was happy to have 2 more chairs set. That's the kind of hospitality we received. Will definitely go back.

Clean and well stocked.

It was extremely hot when we were in Desert Hot Springs. This home provided an oasis from the heat.

Lovely property, with great views, and more than enough room for 4 adults (my wife and I and our 2 adult kids). For my part I enjoyed looking at and pondering the eclectic decor, very cool. Also, a shout out to our hosts. We needed to contact them along the way and they were always responsive and helpful,

This home was very cozy and comfortable. We loved the layout. It had all the necessities and more. The owners were very quick to respond to any of our needs.

A nice house with plenty of space with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils.

We had a very nice time the hosts have a comfortable home. We appreciated the energy and the fireplace during the cold windy nights

House was great, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Kitchen well furnished. Needed some outdoor seating to enjoy the weather! Bit of a drive to PS/PD so if that's your destination, might want to look South of the freeway. But if you're after quiet and loads of hot springs, this location is awesome. Also, we are cyclists, and the roads on the North side of the freeway have far, far worse pavement and shoulders. So if you're heading there to bike, stay South. Great hiking though, especially Coachella Nature Preserve area, and we found several good local restaurants. 3 decent grocery stores within a mile or so.

The home was very comfortable, and in a quiet location. Has great views, especially at night. There were plenty of clean linens and towels, and a well supplied kitchen (except for the lack of bakeware). Communication with the owner was very easy with quick response times.

The house is in a great location for Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, even a drive to Temecula. Very comfortable and well maintained and Kirsten, one of the owners, was incredibly responsive. Our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer!
4.8
The hosts, Kirsten and Michael were easy to communicate with and very helpful. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable week long stay. I would stay here again if visiting Palm Springs.

We were looking for a relaxing semi warm area and we found it in Desert Hot Springs. The hosts are wonderful and very helpful. Their home is one of the better if not the best equipped vrbo we’ve stayed in. On our wish list would be outdoor living space beyond two zero gravity chairs and I understand that is on the horizon. We will be back.

This property was very clean and tidy. It would have been helpful to have a step stool to help get up on the bed in master suite. Seating in the living room was limited.
4.8
Very clean, well kept property. Everything we needed was their. Nice location. Twenty minute drive to Palm Springs. Lots of room, would stay there again.

We absolutely love staying here! Great hosts, excellent house with gorgeous art and a lovely vibe!

The house itself was awesome and there was a nice grocery store close, but lots of homeless people and trash in the area which was sad to see. The house had everything you can think of and the view at night with all the windmill red lights was cool. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

great stay, I would book again if we stay in the same area again

So clean, inviting, lovely and amazing. Great place and awesome hosts.

Cute home with everything we needed!! We were only here for a short stay, but it was the perfect location for us! We hiked in Joshua Tree two days and took a short trip to Palm Springs. The owner was very communicative.
The house had everything we needed including available shampoo and conditioner.

Everything went smoothly in our vacation rental. It was beautifully maintained and outfitted. Although a bit farther from Palm Springs than I might stay in the future, it was an easy drive. With our schedule, traffic was never an issue. The owners were very accommodating and gracious. This is an excellent property.

Hosts, Kirsten & Michael, have truly outdone themselves by providing... and sharing... a most enjoyable experience. Their Desert Hot Springs location offers a convenient choice of a "Day Trip" visit to either Palm Springs or Joshua Tree National Park, if that's your thing.... or just staying put and enjoying the comfort and well-appointed amenities of the home itself. The house's Security Features are A-1, leaving oneself feeling both safe & secure in a somewhat unfamiliar surrounding . We wIll most assuredly be reaching out again to the Olsons when we book our next trip to this locale.

Nice, light filled property. Comfortable and a great jumping off point for adventures to Joshua Tree, Mesa Hills, Idyllwild, etc. Quick drive to groceries, spas, and all the basics.

Three of us were on vacation in Desert Hot Springs to play golf with a snowbird friend and to be tourists in Palm Springs. This house was in a great location to do both. With three bedrooms and two baths it was perfect for the three of us. The host Kirsten was excellent. She was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. She was very upbeat and eager to help. The house was great and had everything we needed. The only downside would be the wooden picnic style dining table and wooden church pew in the master bedroom. I am older and would have preferred regular comfy chairs but all things considered this is nothing to complain about. There was a nice new big TV which was nice. Using the local TV provider, Spectrum, was not great however. Navigating the menu and TV guide was sluggish, but once you were watching a channel everything worked fine. The house is close to a Vons grocery and gas station and has a nice view of the mountains and valley. I would rate this place 4.8 out of 5 stars.

The home was easy to Joshua tree and Palm Springs. Loved the nearby spa. Close to grocery stores and easy access to highway if want to venture farther. The hosts were really responsive and easy to work with. Home was clean and comfy.

Comfortable property with lots of amenities. It was a little further from Palm Springs than I had thought, but was nice and quiet in the evenings.

The house was great. Property was clean and the check in/out process was smooth. The neighborhood was not great and there is a vacant lot across the street. House felt safe and secure so that was not an issue. We actually ended up know the people who live in the house next door.
4.8
Great communications and suggestions for things to do by the owners. Amenities and appliances are top notch. Property is clean and in order.

This was a nice house and we enjoyed our stay!

A quick two night stay at this wonderful home was just what we needed. Easy access to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Spacious, clean, well stocked. And great value. 5/5!

Place is awesome, everything is in good condition, our family has an awesome time. Vons is just less then 5 minutes away.

Kirsten was very responsive during our stay and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. Very easy check in and out.

This was a beautiful, well equipped 3 bedroom home. A great location for us to enjoy hiking in the area
The owner was so friendly and in touch via email and very accommodating.
The house was like a home away from home. So comfortable.
Differently one of best homes we have stayed in.
I would highly recommend this property.
