Dutchies Haven is pet friendly, so bring the entire family, the dog beach is only a quick 5 minute walk away. This property is perfect for the elderly and children as it flows over one level.
Dutchies haven location cant get any better, an easy short walk (approx 300 metres) to beautiful Dutchies Beach which is the perfect swimming spot for children as the waters are calm. There are also BBQs and children playground equipment available at Dutchies or if you feel like a nice short scenic walk to the heart of Nelson Bay join the Bridal Veil walking track at Dutchies Beach and follow the coastline direct into Nelson Bay Marina.
Open plan living and dining area with a ceiling fan and split system air conditioner, TV, DVD player and CD player available for all your entertainment, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, DeLonghi - Nespresso machine and dishwasher and external laundry with washing machine and dryer.
All three bedrooms have split system air conditioners and ceiling fans, there is a renovated bathroom with 3/4 size bath/ shower and toilet and also another separate toilet available.
Fantastic alfresco dining area located on the back deck with a gas BBQ , so you can sit back, relax and watch the children and fur babies running and playing in the lovely fully enclosed yard. The property has two undercover car spaces in a carport.

We felt instantly relaxed when we arrived. Happy with the Hamptons vibe and easy walking distance to Dutchies beach and the marina. Also close to Bagnalls beach for our dog to enjoy.

Feel that property outside rear yard is quite overgrown resulting in too much shade,mature trees need lopping, Leaf matter on ground ideal place for Cockroaches to breed, the cockroaches enjoyed keeping us company in the house .Mortein is on hand to combat this, Tariff is too much for this, when food must be kept in fridge!

The accommodation was clean on arrival and complied with all benefits listed in the online application. Minor faults/problems include:
1. The rear door is difficult to lock and required adjustment.
2. The only unpleasanr tiem was an odour of what smelt like stale urine, and pesisted no matter how may times we mopped all wet area fllors and deodorised all rooms. Someone told us it may rwesuklt from a nearby sewage treatement facility, o4r pehaops faulty plumbing albeit all plumbing seem to worrk correctly but unsure of drainage.

Was very homely and comfortable, we loved it and will be back. The only improvements that would make our next stay perfect would be to have a handle in shower to ease getting in and out as well as a rail or something to hold onto to go down the front stairs.

Negative: if you have a dog that is larger or an escape artist, you will probably find you will not be able to contain it in the back yard of this property.

The location and condition of the home were excellent. Everything was catered for.
Having had a self catering cottage in South Africa, we were very impressed and dog friendly
May I suggest two things. Replace the kitchen mixer tap. It is very stiff to operate and is leaking
Also the shower is constantly dripping into the bath.
Very minor issues but I thought you might like to be advised about them.
We would highly recommend the house to our family and friends

Great Location but needs a deep clean
The property is set in a great location, a few minutes walk from Dutchies beach and the dog friendly Bagnalls Beach. There is also a lovely 20 minutes walk into the d'Albora Marinas. However the property really needs a deep clean and dusting, for example stained bedspread and lounges. Another issue is we encountered a lot of cockroaches within the property so it really needs pest control. The property itself is lovely and if the issues above were addressed it would be a great place to stay.

Great for a quiet getaway
Easy to find, house in generally good condition, amazing back garden that would be great for dogs, walking distance to all relevant locations in Nelson's Bay. Bathroom is one of the highlights although odd-sized bath that is more of an over-sized shower tray. My only criticism would be that the furniture in the lounge is more like garden furniture than a proper couch you can curl up on for the night and that the house comes without many basic household items e.g bath-mat

House was very clean in a very good location, walk to shops, beach etc. Only problem we were told there was no WiFi so we bought a dongle, then after arriving there is a note on fridge giving details of the internet. So $30.00 dongle of no use to us.

Great place in Nelson Bay
This is a gem of a place. Very quaint and cottage like. We have a 4 month old Labrador puppy and she was in heaven with the backyard - it was so big and there were so many trees and smells and banksias for her to play with. We cooked most nights, kitchen was good, and there was really good heating with it being winter. Also, the location was excellent. Close enough to walk to town and a great distance to the beach. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent holiday house
Beautiful house close to everything, very well equipped, unfortunately the shower is not suitable for elderly people and both side gates are very low, suitable only for small dogs, we have a medium size dog and kept escaping, shame we could have had a more relaxing time , we will defenetelly come back if gates get higher

Perfection
This property was perfect for our family holiday! It was so close to Dutchman’s Bay and just a short walk through the bush to the Marina. The property was clean and well-kept, with an enclosed backyard for our dog. We could really relax knowing that everyone was enjoying themselves.
