About this cottage rental
JULY AND AUGUST: turnover day is Monday

We'd love to welcome you into our lovely 500 sq. ft. guest cottage on the outskirts of the historic town of Vineyard Haven. It's located on a peaceful, residential hilltop and features its own fenced in yard w a bbq grill, seating area, outdoor shower (an Island must-have!) and a brand new fire pit with Adirondack chairs. Relax with a book, or a meal and a bottle of wine - you can even work out there - the fast internet has great reach.
When you first walk into the cottage you are in the charming, tastefully decorated main part of the cottage, which features a living room with open kitchen, and also a bathroom off to your left. The wonderfully designed kitchen has everything you'll need for cooking all of your meals (unless you hit some of the wonderful Island restaurants!) including coffee maker (with re-washable gold filter), a full array of pots and pans, and even some pantry items like oil/vinegar, salt/pepper, and some other spices. The living room area has a brand new Crate and Barrel sofa (with queen sofa bed), a lovely comfie chair, and a large wall-mounted flat screen TV with cYouTube TV and access to streaming channels.
Through the living room is the cozy master bedroom, which has a very comfortable full sized bed, dresser, end table, roomy closet and has a range of all brand new pillows of different feels, to suit your needs.
Once in that bedroom, there is a door on your left that goes to the twin room. It is a clever little room that overlooks the yard, with a built-in single daybed, shelving, desk and small stacked washer and dryer. * Please note: This twin room can only be accessed through the bedroom.
Quiet hours are 9pm to 9am.
The cottage is situated high on a hilltop behind the main house, and is close proximity to everything- town, shops & restaurants, playground, sports fields, beaches. A 7 minute walk down the hill to the Lagoon and boat rentals where you can rent kayaks, and another 10 min farther to learn to windsurf! Only 1 mile to Owen Little Park Beach, and 1 1/2 miles to Eastville Beach. A true pleasure. The newest addition is the amazing Martha's Vineyard Museum, which is literally a 3 minute walk.
For children, walk to Veterans's Memorial Park and play ball, swing or fly a kite. For the adults, walk to the lagoon and kayak, or walk downtown to great shops and restaurants and stroll the historic homes.
*On the property is an additional 4BR home, that is also for rent. Ask us about it!

The cottage was well appointed and clean. My daughter and I were comfortable. Just wish they provided full linen service, wasn’t too much of a bother, but that would have made the visit complete. The location is stellar. You can walk to food and shopping with ease.

Perfect for our first trip to the Vineyard! We had a great time staying here and really appreciated borrowing a pack n play for our little one. The cottage is adorable and it was nice to have the yard. Hosts were very responsive with any questions during our stay. Thanks again!

Nice little cottage with everything you need. Probably best for a couple or family of 3. Walked to town, little beach nearby and easy access to ferries and other towns. Perfect little bungalow

We had just a short stay at the guest house but it was great. The house was clean and nicely decorated, very inviting. Even though it is small our family of four did just fine. The outdoor shower is a nice touch! The kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to prepare breakfast each day, one of the things I love about staying in VRBO/HomeAway properties. We love the island and will definitely consider another longer visit in the future!

The cottage provided privacy for my daughter & her small family. It was part of the total compound.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage is cute and we liked the town of Vineyard Haven. East beach was perfect for our children to play, catch crabs and explore. This will not be our last time visiting Martha’s Vineyard.

Sharon was such an amazing and thoughtful host. From the coolers to the bath soaps, she thought of everything to make our stay as effortless and enjoyable as possible. I loved the informative little note cards placed around the house, giving tidbits about the island and sustainability on the island!

Loved the location - close to the hustle and bustle but not in the middle of it. Don't worry about size - it was perfect! I stayed with 3 other women. The place was fully supplied from sheets to cooking utensils and beach chairs and umbrellas. Yes I loved it!

Sharon is very attentive to the needs of her guests. The property is charming and has all of the features a couple or young family would want. Very clean home, which is very important. Would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our visit to the cottage. We had our two children with us and the fold out couch for them was great and the queen size bed for us was was great as well. Definitely tiny but if you are not planning on hanging out in cottage and venturing around the island instead this place is perfect. Sharon and Jenn respond quickly to any requests and were helpful with any issues we had. Location was great too!

Adorable cottage. Owner very accommodating and easy to work with. One recommendation for improvement, would be a new mattress and preferable a queen size. The mattress is saggy and we often found ourselves being forced into the middle because it has loss its support.

Lovely! Sharon makes sure her properties are well maintained - everything you need is provided. Sharon is a great hostess and makes sure you are welcomed! We had such a great time last year that we decided to try this property in Vineyard Haven. It was quiet and very comfortable. We were close to restaurants, shopping and beaches. We look forward to next year!
