About this apartment rental
This spacious 2-bedroom apartment is the first floor of a charming 1880 s farmhouse that I m restoring. It s a 2-3 min walk to the Medical Center and UVM, and a 6 min walk to the Double Tree Conference Center. Sun porch. Well-equipped kitchen. Big backyard. Great neighborhood. Guests have commented that they like that the two bedrooms are at either end of the apartment, so the occupants of each room have their own space.

What a stroke of luck to find Cindy & her beautiful charming yellow house & grounds - we felt like we were home! Everything was perfect & so convenient for us! Nice touches were everywhere, & it was very helpful to have various things stocked in the fridge, freezer & cupboards. We have a new Burlington friend that we look forward to seeing again on our next visit! Thx Cindy!

Very cozy house in a good location and Cindy was great

Enjoyed the location, parking, nearby university, nearby hiking trails, and knowledge of host!

Home is equipped with all necessities and A/C, plus a small wrap around porch and garden (in process). Close to UVM campus.

My husband and 2 young adult children stayed here for 3 nights for their sister's graduation from UVM and the location could not have been better. We easily walked to everything. There was off street parking and the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming. The beds were clean/comfortable. The shower was nice with hot water and there were plenty of towels. The host (who I never had a chance to meet) left snacks and extra food, including coffee. I also appreciated that there were extra outlets, including next to the bed, which sometime hotels don't even have.
That said, we have stayed in a lot of homes over the years, and this was not a 10. It was also not a 4 as a previous reviewer wrote. If you are looking for a picture perfect newly updated home, this is not it. The owner notes that she is working on restoring it but what might be "charming and character" to one person is going to feel dirty and disorganized to another.
Here are our take-aways and recommendations:
1. All the important things were clean but the walls, (eg bathroom), could use a good wipe down. Have bedroom rug cleaned. Dust.
2. Put a lock on the bathroom door, particularly since it doesn't latch easily.
3. We had trouble finding more than 4 forks. We don't need fancy cutlery but extra is helpful.
4. Update the photos with any changes (sunroom) and better represent the bathroom, which is generally very important to people.
5. Keep iron and ironing board together.
Hope this helps the host and next guests!

Cindy was a friendly host and very accomodating

The house was easy to locate and quiet! So nice and cozy, plus we didn't hear any airplanes!

First of all, the host was nice. We were delayed and she left lights on for us. Candy on the pillows was also a nice touch. However, that’s where the good ended. The place was old, outdated and I’m not even sure if the electrical and outside entrance were up to code. Bathroom was very misrepresented in the photos. And the only tv that was there did not work. Seemed as though it was not even setup to internet. I messaged the host about it and no response. Absolutely overpriced.

We really enjoyed our stay - the location was perfect (we were visiting our son at UVM), the property was charming and quiet, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked - Cindy stocked the fridge and cupboards with more than just basics, which we really appreciated. My son's one request for our visit was a homecooked meal, which was very easy to put together in this kitchen. Cindy is the kindest, most generous VRBO host I have encountered - she even brought us some delicious homemade pesto made from her basil harvest! She gave us lots of good insight into things to see and do in the area - she knows Burlington well! We will definitely book her property again.

Very comfortable house for our family. Great location and close to UVM. House was very clean with wonderful character and nice space. Excellent host, too!

The apartment was large, very comfortable and so thoughtfully stocked with some basics (coffee, yogurt, milk, seltzer) to make our morning easy and pleasant. We would stay here anytime we are in Burlington.

We stayed in Cindy’s place one night while passing through Burlington and it suited us four older cyclists looking for a roof over our head for the night. Cindy is a very kind and communicative host, assisting us greatly on our travels!

Very convenient and cheap Uber fares to restaurants, downtown, supermarkets and the lake. Cindy is very helpful and responsive. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need. We highly recommend it!

Beautiful old farmhouse being restored.
Comfortable beds and porch was lovely. Cindy was warm and welcoming and gave us many great ideas as to what to do in Burlington. This is a good walk to Church Street, all downhill. UVM is a gorgeous campus. If opportunity arises, we would be happy to return.

Accommodations were fine. Beds comfortable. There is food stocked in fridge and freezer, which we didn’t use. There are spices in the pantry. We did no cooking, but easily could have. My only complaint is the furniture was not comfortable for me. I have back and leg problems and they were too low.

An absolutely wonderful stay accompanied by a wonderful host and accommodations. Felt so safe and clean for two girls traveling alone!!! We are grateful and will be back

Perfect spot for visiting Burlington. The coffee choices were top notch.

It’s a beautiful farmhouse with charm and warmth. Great location but not right in downtown so it’s a little quieter. Beautiful tulips in bloom welcomed us for our stay.

Charming home close to UVM which was perfect for our daughter's visit. Cindy, the owner, was very gracious. Gave us a great run down on Burlington and gave our daughter great advice for eventually renting in Burlington during school.

it was a perfect house
cute and charming and close to the college

Visited Burlington with my daughter to tour UVM. The rental space is the first floor of a great old house, owner (Cynthia) lives in separate apartment upstairs. The space was very clean and comfortable, just what we needed as our “base camp.”
4.8
The house is adjacent to UVM campus so made an ideal place to have our daughter, a student, come and go while we visited. Nice to have two bedrooms and plenty of space. A relaxing stay.

Perfect spot for a getaway in Burlington! Great location, quick drive to downtown and higher ground. The host was so welcoming and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Property is conveniently located to UVM and downtown. A quick jump onto the highway to drive into the mountains to look at the leaves. Great spot!

We had 3 generations stay together in the house and it worked perfectly for us. Being close to campus was a huge bonus ad we were visiting our college son/ grandson. Cindy was easily available to communicate with.

Great owner, clean well maintained, lovely neighborhood., hope to return back soon

Location is great and property owner was very helpful. Definitely not a luxury experience, but fair accommodation for price-point. Owner should try to have at least one working TV, or warn visitors ahead. Shared refrigerator was a little weird, but wasn't a problem.

This house was a great place to stay. It was clean, roomy and had a-lot of charm. Cindy was so kind and generous. She was full of helpful information and advice on places to eat and visit in Vermont. I would absolutely recommend staying here!!

Cindy was outstanding. The place was perfect for us!

We were looking for a nice (historic, in my case) house in Burlington where we could fix our own meals as desired. It worked out very well with each couple at each end of the house and a lovely kitchen, dining room, and living room in the middle. Quiet area, good parking and great Indian restaurant a few blocks away.
4.8
What a find! We didn’t expect the apartment to be as nice as it was. Spacious with original wood and felt like a home.
