We had a wonderful 3-night stay in The Cotswolds. The house and grounds are lovely and located in a charming, walkable village, complete with a historic church and community-run shop that covered all our needs. Kirstie's house is gorgeous and comfortable for the five of us. Beds and bedding were so comfortable - like a fine hotel!
The kitchen was massive and very well-stocked. We hung out quite a bit in the kitchen for meals. There's also a beautiful patio area off the kitchen. The grounds lead to fields with a horse and sheep which was fun. Kirstie was a lovely host with many recommendations for the area. We are from the US, but my sister-in-law is from Ireland, so she drove. The house was such a great central location for seeing the Cotswolds in a couple days. Blenheim Palace is very close and offers a lovely afternoon tea in The Orangery. We also checked out Chipping Norton, Burford, Great Tew, Hidcote Manor, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, and Broadway with it's iconic tower which was amazing! Absolutely gorgeous scenery, charming pubs and a lovely, peaceful home to come back to in the evening. Highly recommended!

Great location for attractions of Cotswolds and Oxford. Very good restaurants locally. Pigeons Piece is a very spacious cottage and very well equipped. We had a great stay. It was very comfortable, a lovely garden and very peaceful.

We had the most enjoyable weekend at Pigeon’s Piece for my wife’s 60th birthday.
The property was immaculate, and such a wonderful social space for quality time with family and friends. The owner has clearly put a lot of love into this house, with lots of nice touches and a very detailed guide. It’s also perfectly located, with such an easy trip to all the local attractions such as Blenheim and lots of great walks from the house itself.
Overall, a very very special place for a weekend away and we cannot wait for another excuse to come back.

We were two families with 3 small kids at Pigeons' Piece and we had a great time. Ample space for the kids to play inside and a lovely kitchen/dining area at the heart of the house. Really comfy beds, incredibly clean and stylish and a super attentive pair of hosts in Tim & Kirstie for which nothing was a problem. We'd thoroughly recommend. Our only sadness was not coming in the summer - whilst winter brings its own delights, the garden (front and back) would have been lovely for the kids (and us) in warmer weather!

For many years we have been visiting the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire a few times a year. This year was the first time in super charming Wootton and we are really extremely happy and look forward to coming back. The house owner Kristie was extremely friendly and helpful, her wonderful house was perfectly prepared and clean, perfectly prepared and an oasis for those who want to enjoy classic England at its best. Close to Oxford and several classic Cotswold villages. We had a wonderful week and can highly recommend Kristie and Wootton.

Only good things to say about Pigeons Piece. We were there with two grandsons, initially for 5 days. Both my husband and I got covid, and Kirstie and Tim were so, so helpful in navigating our "crisis." We were able to extend our stay until we were able to travel, which was a life-saver. We hope to come back again!
Thank you

Well, for me, this home had it all.
Charming, very well situated, beautifully furnished and appointed - very comfortable indeed.
A bonus is that there are also superb restaurants and pubs nearby.
It was also a great location for Silverstone!
Kirstie is a perfect host, with plenty of local knowledge to help out. THANK YOU.
The trouble is, it's so good, it gets booked up :)

We rented Pigeon’s Piece for two months April & May 2023 for a ‘country retreat’ and revision haven for our daughter during A levels. It was that and SO MUCH more. We enjoyed the friendly village vibe, warm and welcoming church, proximity to Woodstock and Blenheim palace, the beautiful cycles and walks, great nearly restaurants and pubs, peaceful setting and garden. Rain or shine, Pigeon’s Peace provided us a sanctuary for rest and a launch pad for fun. The owners are SUPER responsive and the cleaner is lovely and thorough. It has everything you could want. We hope to come again!

We stayed at Pigeons Piece for my son's graduation. We had travelled from NZ, Australia and Somerset for the occasion. We wanted to stay in a house rather than a hotel in Oxford and PP was absolutely perfect. There was plenty of space, a superb country kitchen and reception areas so we never felt we were crowded. We enjoyed some sunshine during our stay and made the most of it by sitting in the garden. The UK based family members drove to the house and the others had to rely on taxis to and from Oxford. A word of warning, the local taxi services are notoriously unreliable and do not always turn up when they are ordered. A particularly stressful situation when catching trains and planes. There are some lovely walks in the area and it is an easy walk to Woodstock to enjoy the local pubs or even visit Blenheim Palace. We enjoyed the local pub The Killingworth Castle which is an easy stroll. The food was very good and the staff is very friendly. If you have your own car there are lots of places to go. I just wish we had had a few more days at this adorable Cotswolds cottage.

We spent several weeks at Pigeons Piece and had a fantastic and very comfortable stay. Kirstie is a phenomenal host. She helped acclimate us to the area and provided answers to a full range of questions. The home is beautiful (quintessentially modern Cotswold) and incredibly clean and well furnished. The kitchen is well stocked and includes full-size appliances, wonderful sunlight, and an indoor/outdoor flow with the back patio. We spent quite a bit of time enjoying the garden and the large shade trade in the back. The bedrooms are roomy and quiet. The property is dog-friendly, and Kirstie provided a big dog bed, water bowls, and treats. Our dog was very happy at the property. The back yard and adjoining field gave her plenty of room to safely explore, but there are also numerous walking paths nearby.
The home is located in a lovely village with a small shop for essentials. Access to Woodstock is a 5-minute drive and Oxford can be reached within 20-30 minutes. The home is in a perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds.
We coudn't possibly say enough wonderful things about our time at Pigeons Piece. It is truly a home away from home, and we look forward to returning. Thank you, Kirstie!

Magical Cottage in the Cotswolds
Our family was looking for a peaceful getaway in the English countryside, and we certainly found it in Pidgeons Piece! This lovely cottage has the feeling of a peaceful, quiet getaway, with the benefit of being conveniently located to shops, restaurants, and points of interest.
Checking into the cottage was easy, and the key system was practical and exactly as described. Our host, Kirstin, was accessible for answering questions and provided an incredibly detailed and helpful list of recommended restaurants and places to visit, in addition to a detailed binder at the house with more recommendations and details about the house.
The cottage is beautifully decorated. Every couch, bed, and chair is comfortable, the bathrooms are well-appointed, and the kitchen is a dream -- spacious, well-equipped, with high-end appliances, plenty of dishes, utensils, and gadgets. The property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Our family was so comfortable there. We felt right at home.
There is a small gourmet food shop a five minute walk up the hill from the front gate, and plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Blenheim Palace is worth a visit, and it is located within the village of Woodstock mere minutes away. Oxford is about 15 minutes away and Stratford-Upon-Avon is a 25 minute drive away. All of these landmarks made for easy excursions while still leaving plenty of time to enjoy the comforts of the cottage.
There was plenty of space for my husband, our two teenaged daughters, and myself to relax and read or watch a movie. We didn't even use one of the bedrooms. There definitely was space for a larger party or even two small families.
I highly recommend Pigeons Piece! Our only regret is not being able to stay longer. We hope to return for a longer visit someday!

Cute, comfortable, chocolate box heaven
I have not a bad word to say about this place. Had a wonderful time. It was the perfect configuration for two families sharing; our older kids had a lovely room and we one next door, the others, seperated by a corridor then had a double and a single for their baby. The Kitchen really is the icing on the cake and can genuinely manage the activity of two families and kids very comfortably. Kirstie was a great and conscientious host. Will definitely go again!

Our family of 6 plus toddler and puppy stayed 3 nights to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday and it was just perfect. Kirstie is a brilliant host responding comprehensively and promptly to any queries. The house is incredibly well equipped with a great mix of period and contemporary furniture and features. Loads of space to spread out inside and out but it was the kitchen diner / snug area that was a real hit with us. There is only parking for one large and one small car but there is plenty of parking in the village. Fantastic base for exploring Oxfordshire & the Cotswolds but there really isnt any need to venture far. We would love to return.

A beautiful tranquil cottage.
Our family stayed 3 nights to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday and we had a wonderful time. The cottage has such a relaxing feel about it and we loved it so much that the furthest we got to eating out was a bbq in the garden! A truly special retreat in the Cotswolds.

Having been holed up in London during lockdown 2, this was the most fabulous place to come and stay. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you need. The kitchen was the hub of our stay - lots of space for everyone! The terrace was the perfect place to sit and have a glass of rose on a warm summers evening. The village is welcoming, the shop is well stocked with all essentials and Witney was easy to drive to for a large shop. The village is close to a local conservation area and the dog happily played in the stream and had plenty of space to exhaust herself. I can also highly recommend The Killingworth Castle - the food was delicious and within walking distance…overall, we had a relaxing, peaceful stay. I would love to come and stay again..

We are regulars in the Cotswolds but feel we have now found the perfect place to stay.
It is a truly gorgeous house and garden in a beautiful village.
Kirstie was brilliant and honestly it was a fantastic week.
One small thing is if you have a low car you are better off parking near the church but otherwise perfect.

EXQUISITE! BETTER THAN WE COULD HAVE EVER IMAGINED!
My family and I arrived to Pigeons Piece for a longer term stay from Los Angeles, CA in January 2021. It was such a tumultuous time in regards to Covid and Pigeons Piece was truly the most wonderful place to land for our move back to the UK. The photos are accurate but in person the home is EVEN BETTER. The entire house was exceptional in both comfort and design. The kitchen and snug was a true home away from home and its where we spent the majority of our time. With underfloor heating, beautiful comfortable furniture, high end appliances and an amazing oven and fridge, it was our favourite space to play, cook and generally spend time together. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable with high end mattresses and bedding. Think down duvets, feather mattress toppers and clean crisp sheets. The gardens in front and behind the home were truly magical and my children spent hours exploring them and identifying various flowers and finding 'treasures!'. The owners Kirstie and Tim, could not have been more helpful, communicative and pleasant to interact with. The village of Wootton in which the home in centrally located, is a dreamy English chocolate box village. There is a lovely village shop, playground, pub and a magical stream and water meadows. We enjoyed all immensely! Due to the Covid lockdown we ended up staying at Pigeons Piece for three months and it truly felt like home!!! It will forever be a special place for us with wonderful memories.

Wonderful
We will definitely be back. Great location and property. A real home from home for us - especially as we had to self-isolate for a while.
We had access to anything we needed and were able to enjoy being so close to good walking and running territory. Great places to visit and eat.

A beautiful Cotswold house
We stayed for a week over the autumn half-term break with our young children and couldn’t have been more pleased. The house has an enormous, very high-end kitchen and eating area, and plenty of cosy rooms with fires and deep sofas. The location is very close to Blenheim Palace and the owners have plenty of recommendations from pubs, to great walks and even helped us to find some wild swimming spots. The swing chair in the garden, the table tennis and the view of horses and rolling fields from the bedroom make it extra special.

Excellent stay
Everything was perfect. Chic. Comfortable. Restful. Lovely helpful owner.
