The location is really good and when you get the booking genius discount, you can tell yourself the weird taxidermy vibes are fun. The guy on the late bar was friendly
Morning receptionist was passive aggressive and needs to work on customer service skills

We love the quirky nature of this hotel, the staff are always really friendly and nothing is to much trouble,

This is a charming hotel, conveniently located for the Scarborough sea front and shops.
Gracie in the reception was warm, friendly and helpful.
We loved the decor of the hotel and were very comfy in the bar.
The reserved parking is a bonus.
It's a shame there is no breakfast facility but appreciate there is currently no chef.
The plumbing needs some attention as hot water in the shower is irratic. The mattress has seen better days.

Location was great and being able to park outside for £10 a night was a bonus. It was very quirky and staff very friendly. Lots of history about the hotel.
We were originally given a small room in the attic. It was boiling with no air con and accessed up very steep and narrow stairs. After speaking to a member of staff we were moved to a very spacious room on 2nd floor. We laughed about the lift as it was very cranky. We were not informed before we checked in that there wasn’t any breakfast available however plenty of little cafes nearby.

A beautiful period building in an excellent location close to the train station, Spa and sea front. Our spacious room had a great view over a green park from 2 french doors with balconies. The bedding was clean. Selection of tea, coffee and biscuits on the first day.
The room was in need of an upgrade, one side of the bed had a 1 foot long dip in the mattress. The bathroom was shabby with corroded metal on the bath/shower. Strange smell on arrival. The whole building needs some investment.

Very nice
The property was lovely but the lift was only to first floor and we had to go up a lot of stairs to get to our rooms as all of our party were part disabled this was very difficult for us all

We liked the room it was clean, spacious, and well equipped. It was far better than expected for the price paid
The staff were helpful and curtious.
The hotel was quirky with lots to look at in the reception and bar area.
(Although in one part the wallpaper was peeling(on a stair corner), it was not ugly to look at.)
There was lots of information in the reception area and an interesting book in our room.
We definitely make this hotel our go-to hotel from now on.
The radiator needed bleeding, as it was only hot halfway up, that was all

The Victorian vibe of this hotel makes it stand out a mile from the other hotels. Staff were friendly and accommodating, I loved our stay and would definitely book again

A great location lovely building lovely big clean rooms, car parking big plus
Broken lift was a little annoying when checking out as I was up and down the stairs a lot but it wouldn’t put me off returning

Great value. Lovely location. Beautiful furnishings
Cold water tap ran hot in the afternoons!
4.1
Excellent spacious room with sea views and windows that open which helped moderate the heat. Location was perfect and although no parking available on the first day, a car park just around the corner made things easy.
We didn't expect a full breakfast or lots of extras, so everything we needed was provided.

It is in a great central location but there is a downside to being so close to pubs.
Noisey late at night due to the closeness of pubs.
