About this house rental

Whether you're looking to spend time with your family, friends or by yourself, this cottage is for you. We are located one block west of the Crab Trap, Crabdaddy's and the Beachcomber, 2 blocks from the beach with access through the King & Prince Resort and about a 10 minute walk to mini golf, the public pool, lighthouse and the downtown village.

Recently renovated and decorated, this cottage is comfortable and cozy with 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen-size beds and the bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds. The master bedroom has a private bath. The hall bathroom has a huge shower. The kitchen is open with a large island and living room with a fireplace. There is also a game room in the back with a washer and dryer for your convenience. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch swing as walkers and bikers wave 'hello' as they pass.

This is a great house! It took our family about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. The house is clean and simple. The front porch and backyard are wonderful!

The house was perfectly laid out for our two small families and mother-in-law. The kitchen was beautiful and amply supplied, and the bonus room was great for the kids to hang out in during the morning while the adults slept in. Host was very responsive.

The cottage was so charming and provided plenty of space for the family. It was a perfect little stroll to the beach and so close to the local restaurants and shops. We had an amazing visit. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

We have nothing but good things to say about this property. The location was perfect, you can literally walk to beach access across the street. The house is so cute and was so comfortable! The porch and the sun room were perfect for our morning coffee. The check in and out instructions were so clear, we had no issues. We had the best experience!

This is our second stay at the property and it was even better than we remembered. Vintage SSI vibes with modern conveniences. We enjoyed the charcoal grill on the new back patio area. Convenient to public beach access. Front porch swing is a favorite spot to sip morning coffee.

We had an amazing time at this cottage on St Simon’s. There was a great amount of space for 2 families of 4. The kids loved the bunk room. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, the backyard, the walk to a couple restaurants and the brewery and the short stroll to the beach. It was clean and perfect for our long weekend with family!

My sister and I brought our Mom on a weekend get away for Mother’s Day. We had a great time. The house has that beachy cottage look and feel. We loved the front porch and spent a lot of time sitting out there enjoying the scenery. Great location and within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The cottage was very clean and neat. Kitchen well stocked with dishes , silverware, drink ware etc… The bedrooms are a nice size with dressers and small closet to put your things away. Loved the sun porch. Very comfortable. Convenience of washer/dryer in cottage. The home has both a regular coffe machine and a Kerig. Bring coffee filters and coffee. You will want to pick up extra paper products, garbage bags, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent if you stay more than a few days. The furniture in the living was very comfy. The whole cottage was very comfortable. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone. Will be back. My husband and I rented it over a year ago. A good place to rent.

This was the cutest little renovated beach cottage! The location was absolutely perfect for walking to restaurants, the beach, the lighthouse, etc. Had everything we needed for our short four day spring break trip! Highly recommend this little gem and will hopefully be back soon!

This house is homey and chic! The location is awesome for walking to and from the public beach access near the King and Prince and different restaurants nearby! My girl friends and I were very comfortable here and loved sitting on the porch in the morning enjoying our coffee!

Loved everything about this place and it comes exactly as advertised. With 7, it can be hard to find a place that is comfortable but this didn’t disappoint. This definitely felt like home when we finished with the beach and our vacation activities. Clean, spacious, modern and great location. 5 minute walk to beach, a few shops and Crab Trap. Less than a mile to the village. We wouldn’t even look at other places next time we come to SSI.

The arrangement of the house was perfect for us. With a 1 year old, her parents and my husband and myself (grandparents) we were able to spread out to sleep. The open concept was perfect for having my family over to visit from the other side of the island. Recommend this place!

We love staying at Making Memories! This vintage cottage is charming and welcoming. This was our 3rd visit and we feel at home the minute we walk in the door! We had no complaints except we could have used some lids for the larger pots and pans since we cooked most of our meals in the cottage. (only the smaller pots had lids) Thank you Jennifer for providing such a great place to continue "making memories"!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location, walked to restaurants (great food), and to the beach. House was very comfortable and nicely furnished. My granddaughters loved the bunk bed room. We also had my 95 year old aunt with us and she enjoyed having cable tv instead of streaming other networks. Will definitely plan for a return stay.

The home has been nicely updated without destroying its historic charms and homely comfort. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Ten minute bike ride to the downtown and lighthouse with bike rental a stones throw away. Book, relax, and enjoy exploring everything Saint Simons Island has to offer.

Making Memories Cottage was the perfect spot for a long weekend with my adult daughters. The house was spotless when we arrived and is SO cute. The decor was beachy without being “theme-y” and honestly, I would have chosen all the finishes myself if I were decorating it! The location was perfect and was an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the beach. Mornings on the front porch swing were amazing, and although we didn’t use it, there is a really nice deck in the back yard as well. The landscaping was green and lush, and the hydrangeas were in full bloom. You can’t have a Southern lawn without hydrangeas! There are beach chairs and lots of towels provided. There are also some beach toys and games available if you have younger children. Bring your little ones because they are sure to love the bunk room! The kitchen is fully stocked with quality cooking equipment, but if you plan to cook, be sure bring EVERYTHING you’ll need, including salt and pepper. Not a complaint, but just FYI for others, nothing is provided except hotel-sized guest soaps, so bring paper towels, hand and bath soap, coffee filters, trash bags, extra toilet paper, foil, plastic wrap, zip top bags, laundry and dish soap, etc. It would have been great to have a supply of that kind of thing, but that doesn’t take away from my 5 star review. I just wish I had known because I would have brought those things from home. We will definitely come back to make more memories!

My husband and I had a wonderful time. The house was amazing. It was super clean, nicely decorated, had ample room. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and appliances. The bedrooms were nice size. Location was great. Shops and restaurants within walking distance. Loved the swing on the front porch and the little sitting area outback. We would definitely rent again and recommend our friends to stay here.

This quaint beach cottage is perfect in every way! It is charming, comfortable, and in the perfect location. It is a quick walk to the beach and great restaurants and a short golf cart ride to the village. Jennifer was easy to work with and made the process easy! I would definitely recommend staying at this property!

Precious vintage cottage close and walkable to restaurants, sightseeing. Comfortable, kitchen looked recently updated. Front porch a definite plus. Questions were always answered by the owner. After a day of walking , driving etc. I was ready for a comfortable hot shower but water as at best was only warm. Called about the water thinking water heater was broken and was told temperature was kept low so no one would be”scalded.” The owner was “sorry “ it was kept low but did not come and check or adjust. Water was warm enough to get in and out quickly but I’m a good comfortable shower person! So was my guest. Carpet in back bedroom needs cleaning but hardwood floors and rugs were attractive. I loved this cottage but give me a comfortable shower or bath at the end of a busy day and you will be my 5!

Property was as advertised and communication with the host was excellent, very responsive! Only a 5 min walk to the beach (with a 6 and a 4 year old slowing us down!) and it was either on the sidewalk or on roads that weren't busy at all. A few good restaurants that were walkable (we particularly enjoyed Barrier Island Brewing) and it was very easy to get to the shops and restaurants on Mallery St (although we drove each time). Would highly recommend this property!

My family and I had a lovely stay at this cottage in Saint Simons. The location is within walking distance to the village with tons of restaurants and shopping. It is a short stroll to the beach as well. This house is meticulously clean and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The property manager/owner was very helpful in accommodating all our needs. We plan to book again in the near future!
