Place looked nice. Don't think it was in a good neighborhood. Contact with the host was not easy and thrubthe phone imposible. Place was advertised as a two bedroom and its only a one. Have this on text from the owner. Having a heck of a time getting my money back. Don't recommend this place

Property was clean, conveniently located, spacious, and comfortable. Lots of extras that made our stay even better. Access to a water purifier, bikes, and laundry were all helpful. Walking distance to public transportation, the WWII museum, convenience store, and restaurants. I hope to stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights for a Volleyball tournament. Location was great. A very short Uber drive to the French Quarter. We went to dinner and were unsure if we locked the door. Messaged owner and they went over and locked up for us! The unit was clean and cozy. The courtyard/backyard was a great spot to relax in the evening.

The unit is perfect for a couple wanting to enjoy New Orleans. Location is walkable to all you want to see. And don't miss out on Mais Arepas right across the street for dinner. Host and all involved with him were just a pleasure. We will definitely be back!

Although the direct surroundings are not very nice, there some restaurants in walking distance. Mr.Ed‘s Oysters and Seafood we liked a lot. Getting to the French quarter with the train is easy. Parking on the street right in front of the condo is easy and available.

Nice one bedroom with a fold out couch in the living room area. The kitchen is supplied with most everything you'll need to make dinner. The neighborhood is quiet and just a mile walk to Canal street. The courtyard is beautiful. I'd definitely stay at this property again were I too return to New Orleans.

The property manager was really helpful and quick to respond. I messaged about coffee filters and they were outside in a matter of minutes, like magic. The property has neat NOLA artwork, the patio is nice. Short jaunt to the streetcar or you can walk downtown.
The overpass with homeless encampments was… honestly scary. I’m not generally bothered by that stuff (especially nowadays), but there was a guy walking in front of traffic with a knife out that got too close to us. We avoided it after that and cut down to the streetcar instead of walking up.

I rented this cute little spot for my brother and niece while I stayed in a spot across the street. The check in process was easy and host was communicative. The place was nice and clean, all the usual amenities. Close access to a streetcar stop and plenty of restaurants and shops that were within walking distance, too. We would book again!

This property is great! We were walking distance to everything we wanted to see (World War 2 Museum, French Quarter) and discovered a number of great neighborhood restaurants during our stay. (Check out Willa Jean’s for breakfast!) The property itself is just as described. The backyard was great for unwinding at the end of a long day. And we really appreciated the water purifier! Everything was clean and in working condition.

Steven had wonderful communication and was very helpful. Was great to have laundry facilities. The homeless encempment under the overpass made me a little nervous when walking at ight. Just be sure ti use the St. Charles streetcar so that you do not need to go under the overpass. We highly recommend Magazine Pizza just a few blocks away.
The only downside was that the dishwasher wasnt working and stepping in fire ants on the back walkway when it was dark. Other than that, a great stay.

Convenient to St Charles Ave trolley. Lots of neighborhood improvements underway. Close to the WWII Museum, too.
It was farther from the convention center than I thought, but I managed. It is very close to the Pontchartrain Expressway and several homeless camps which might be off-putting to some.

Enjoyed the accommodations, very clean and well maintained inside and courtyard area. Had small issue with laundry area that owner took care of immediately. Only negative we had was lack of parking available street only with cafe across the street. Very close to freeway with homeless encampment but was within walking distance of Bourbon Street and many activities

Nice place. Very clean. As described. Close to everything. Stayed here 3 nights while in town for a volleyball tournament. No issues with neighborhood; and no issues communicating with owner. Homeless camps close by but never felt unsafe. A lot of roadwork going on in the area making for rough rides and many pot holes. Overall would stay again.

An amazing place to stay!
We were in town for a family wedding and couldn't have picked abetter place to stay! The place was neat and tidy and the perfect amount of space ( and then some) for my husband and I to unwind. Our host was very accommodating and answered all our questions in a timely manner. The location was perfect. Walking distance or a short Uber/Lyft ride to anywhere you could possibly need to go. A couple blocks walk from the National WWII Museum which I recommend while you're here. I would definitely recommend this place to stay and if we come back will definitely book here again.

Excellent location
Steven communicated well, made the check in and check out process very easy. If you like to walk, eat, explore, or relax stay here. Very conveniently located in the garden district, on the edge of the French quarter, and near downtown. All that and quiet, too!

Charming
Enjoyed our stay in this charming apartment! It had everything we needed. The decor was perfection!
The little courtyard in the back was nice to sit out and unwind from our adventure filled days of Ubers, walking, shopping, eating and jazz clubbing. I don't know there statistics on how safe the area is but we had no problems at all whatsoever and never once felt like we were in harm's way.
We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Stephen for allowing us to make your place our home base.

Just as listed
The property was just as it was advertised! It was private, quiet, and within walking distance of Bourbon St and the French Quarter - however there is a bridge with a large homeless population nearby so we took cabs at night instead of walking. The host communicated well and we were able to check in early on our arrival date. Very cute and comfortable spot, we enjoyed it very much!

Ease of access to places we wanted to visit.
The property was lovely. We SOOO enjoyed sitting out in the courtyard and soaking up the culture. It was just a short walk to the trolley which became our major source for traveling thruout the city. We didn't need to rent a vehicle because of this. We loved Steve's suggestions for places to visit and indeed we tried many of them and agreed with his assessments. We will return and stay here.

Felt like home! Sad to leave.
This apartment is exactly as listed. I felt very safe here even though the neighborhood is a little less than desirable - but you cannot beat the location. You can walk to everything! I was impressed with how fully stocked everything was too, and that they have filtered water dispenser in the laundry room. We cannot wait to come back! As a heads up, you will hear heavy footed people or kids stomping around d upstairs... a lot. But, that is to be expected with such an old building. We will be returning to this home when we come back!

Exactly what I had expected!
Our stay was perfect. We were close enough to the street car (2 min walk) to get into the French Quarter & Bourbon St. but far enough that we didn’t have to deal with the late night noise! The host allowed us to check in an hour early and accommodated for a late check out. He answered messages right away!

Short stay
New Orleans was not our destination. This property is a wonderful location for a 2 night stay. The St. Charles street car was close which gave us a good opportunity to see the garden district. The WW2 museum is within walking distance. There is a fantastic Colombian Creole restaurant across the street! Lots of good food and breakfast options near. The property offers all the basics and is comfortable.

A great first experience with VRBO!
Our apt. more than met our expectations, it had everything we could have asked for and more. Steven, owner, was the best! He replied quickly to all our email questions and phone call. Superbly clean, linens high quality, the back yard garden was lovely and such a wonderful resting place after a full day on the trolley, which is one block away. NOLA has always been one of our favorite places and now we know exactly where we will book at for our future visits!

Perfect Location!
Steven's cozy apartment is within easy walking distance from the French Quarter and the Garden District. I was able to walk to many restaurants, museums, quaint streets and to do my grocery shopping. The apartment is very neat and clean, and is equipped with all the items you need (including a fully equipped kitchen with all the pots, pans, cooking and serving items you will need) for an enjoyable stay. Steven is an excellent host, knows his way around New Orleans extremely well (especially restaurants and bars!), is easily approachable and very helpful if you need it. And the laundry facilities and private backyard patio are a definite bonus. I stayed here for two weeks and it felt like home!

We liked the location of this property. Walkable to FQ, St Charles and Magazine streets and the waterfront near the aquarium. The space was comfortable and spacious enough for 2-4 with good amenities. Our host Steven was very prompt with responses and helpful. We also appreciated the great guest book Steven put together with suggestions for food, drink and sightseeing. We would stay here again.

New Orleans walk about
The property had everything you would need. Location was in between the French Quarter and Garden District one block off Saint Charles. There were many places to eat nearby. We walked about 10 miles per day cabs and uber are expensive. The bus and trolleys are cheap but infrequent. That being said we loved the city and the apartment. The owner was accommodating and let us check in early.
10.0 / 10.0
Not perfect but just enough
We enjoyed our stay very much. The space is just as pictured and close by foot or less than $10 Uber/Lyft ride to pretty much any where you want to go!
The bed was super comfortable and the room is in the back so it’s nice and dark! We enjoyed the amenities such as WiFi, tv, Netflix, Hulu, and washer/dryer to be perks on our stay. The owner was nice to offer early check-in which was helpful as were traveled with a time change and arrived earlier than we expected! Parking was right out front and easy.
The home is a block and a half (Visable from the front door) from what appears to be the city’s ‘finest’ homeless camp under the highway, but felt safe even walking by.
“Fully stocked” kitchen is a stretch. As we were there on Thanksgiving we were happy to find a convenient store that had disposable pans for the oven. But it has the basic dishes and appliances. If you are planning on doing any cooking in your stay might want to double check with owner that they have what you need or just bring your own.
I also personally found “professionally” cleaned to be a sales pitch. While it was definitely clean enough and cleaner than many places whoever is paid as the professional needs more training! I notice small things like baseboards, doors, and the corners of the bathroom to tell just how detailed and “clean” a space is more than just the basics. The kind of details a professional should be doing. There were also dirty dishes in the dishwasher. We made sure to start ours before we left.
Overall no major complaints. Just like to give honest feedback. We would stay here again!
