About this house rental
Come stay at our newly renovated ski chalet at Pico Mountain Resort, park in the 2-car garage and relax, no need to go anywhere (except to ski!). Entrance to ski trails are across the street…or…if you feel compelled to move, seek adventure, and so forth… walk or ski down to the Killington shuttle (pick up in front of Pico base lodge), cross-country skiing is nearby (Mountain Meadows or Mountain Top Resort), snowshoeing is great directly out the front door, Pico Sports Center (fully equipped health club w/ pool, is within a ¼-mile)…après-ski (several choices are nearby, McGrath’s Irish pub, Irish Music on weekends, is a good choice and nearest to the house, less than 1-mi).
Our home is well-equipped and designed for family and friends to make the most of their ski/snowboarding vacation. The upstairs features a cathedral ceiling great room w/fireplace and wall mounted flat-screen TV. Downstairs is a family room with large TV. This setup provides ample space to separate adults and kids. The house has wi-fi. There is a large entry mudroom for ski gear and bundling up.
The age requirement for the primary renter is 25 years. Maximum overnight adult guest is 8. This is not a party house and more suited for families with children.

We just returned from a 3-night stay at "Pico Dreams" and couldn't have been happier. We were two families (10 people total) in town from NJ to ski/snowboard at Pico and Killington mountains. The most appreciated element of the trip was the communication with the host, Linda. We had a few questions throughout the stay which she answered right away and was so pleasant and helpful. The house itself was ideally located, extremely clean, and well-appointed. The boot/glove warmer and breezeway were really helpful in gearing up/down each day. Our first day, we walked the short hike up to the entrance (top of slope) to Bonanza (an easy green), skied down, and effortlessly got our youngest to her lesson. The rest of us spent a perfect Bluebird day checking out the rest of the mountain. The 2nd day, we drove 10-15 minutes over to Killington and explored what we could (the mountain is huge!). What we did get to experience, we absolutely loved. Each night back at the house, we enjoyed home-cooked dinners, family games, and relaxing by the fire. The house has a great layout for our two families. We loved the view from the living room windows: sun-streaked mountains in the morning and watching the snow-cats groom the slopes at night. Thank you for sharing your house with us, Linda, our trip was truly amazing!

My group really enjoyed our stay, especially the close proximity to Pico/Killington. The entry area with the boot driers and the fire place were great additions. Also, the house was more up to date and clean than the pictures give it credit for too - another win! Thanks to Linda for making everything seamless and the late check out.

Had a great time staying at Pico Dream. House was spacious, great fireplace (with wood provided), easy access to Pico Mountain, and close to Killington. The owner, Linda, was very responsive to all of our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing!
There’s in nothing bad to say about this home! Linda is an absolute pleasure to deal with. From booking to check out, Linda always immediately responds to any questions or concerns you may have. Instructions for check-in/out are clear and simple. You even have access to the garage to park— which is key on a snowy night!
The house itself is clean and spacious. There is plenty of room for your group to gather after a day of skiing and riding. The extra den space downstairs is also great to give the children their own space to watch television and play games.
The house has everything you need to prepare meals, build fires or (most importantly) just relax.
The views are great and the location is perfect! You can easily walk to Pico, and Killington bases (Ramshead and Skyship) are only about a 10 minute drive away. You are close to everything!
For years, we have rented many great homes, but this, by far, is the best! It is clear that the owners of this home want you to have a wonderful and relaxing vacation!!!

All dishes, silverware and bathrooms were immaculate. Excellent instructions from owner and immediate response to a mid-trip inquiry. We will definitely be back.

Family of six, with children 5-13, had a wonderful stay. We really liked the house, and Pico more generally. The house is very clean and well maintained. Good set up, with ample living space spread across upstairs and down. Location is very good, the walk to the slope, about 100 yards uphill, was too far for our 5 year old, but others did fine. We typically did a car drop off in the AM then walked to an fro for lunch and end of day. Would stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 268 Alpine. The house was comfortable and well stocked. We were 8 people total and there was ample sleeping room for all. Ending each day in front of a crackling wood fire was the highlight of the trip. The boot / glove warmer contraption in the entryway was also a big hit. There are two TV/ family areas, one on the first floor by the bedrooms, and a second upstairs by the fireplace, kitchen and dining area. Having the additional living room is nice if you are traveling with kids or teens who want some space and a place to play games or watch their own movies. The walk to get to the Bonanza trail is little bit of a hike uphill with your gear on, but it is very doable. I suggest bringing an old sled to throw you skis in, especially if you have smaller kids. Getting home is easy, just take Sundowner and cut through. The owner Linda was very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend the property and would definitely rent here again.

Great stay!
My family and I just enjoyed a great holiday weekend at Linda's property. Linda was very thorough in all of her instructions, and was quick to help if needed. The house was very clean and well stocked, and I cannot say enough about how great the location was! For a great price on a holiday weekend, we were only a short walk away from the mountain. We did encounter a lot of winter weather, which Linda was sure to provide instructions for. Great overall, and we will definitely be back!

Great for groups!
The ski chalet was the perfect home base for our group ski weekend in the mountains. Everything you need under one roof - plenty of space for everyone, a stocked kitchen for big meals, and two living rooms to gather in after a day on the slopes. Location is ideal with an easy walk to the Pico lodge and a convenient bus to Killington and all of the nearby restaurants. Linda was an excellent host and great to work with. Looking forward to returning next season!

Wonderful house in Killington
It is a very nice house and we definitely will go next year again. Very convenient to Pico and Killington ski area. I would give 5 stars if there was a jacuzzi. Thank you Linda.

Lovely house
We found that the home was wonderfully spacious with two large living rooms, along with a large dining room table for which our family to gather around. The place is conveniently located to Pico mountain, which is only a 5-minute walk up the road to Bonanza 2 trail (we're all meeting our steps for the day!). We loved that the house provided us with basic amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with a washer/dryer on premise. We also cannot stop raving about the boot and glove drivers in the mudroom!
It was a wonderful home for our weekend stay in Pico and would definitely come back again.

This is a great ski house for a family.
Our family of three generations had a fabulous ski weekend at Pico staying in this property. Everything was perfectly represented and we were completely enthralled with the homemade boot dryer/warmer. The eldest bagged the last run with a granddaughter, and the next to the youngest had his first day on skis. The youngest mostly napped and ate.

Comfortable house for a great ski vacation
We stayed over MLK weekend and were very pleased. It's the little things that count:
- prompt and friendly communications;
- clear instructions for the stay;
- comfortable heat in all of the rooms despite below 0 temps;
- functional and well furnished kitchen;
- convenient and uncluttered garage to keep the vehicles out of the snowstorm;
- plenty of linens; and
- lots of hangers to use in the closets for drying wet skiwear!
Our two families - total of 10 people - had plenty of room and could easily eat together at the dinner table. The location of the house is great and it had a nice cozy (but NOT cramped) feel to it. No complaints!

Great Thanksgiving at perfect Mountain Home
My brother and my families travel to Vermont every year for Thanksgiving. We usually rent suites at the Best Western but with the World Cup, the Best Western was full. We found Linda’s vacation rental on Home Away and it was so much better than a hotel. The home was lovely with more than enough room for the 8 of us. We had 12 for dinner and games on Wednesday evening on the large farm house table. Thanksgiving was at a restaurant in town but we could have made it at the house as there was a well stocked kitchen. It’s wonderful to have an upstairs and a downstairs family room and the beds were comfy and everything very clean. As been mentioned in most reviews, the owner, Linda was extremely responsive and accommodating. We had a great holiday and will absolutely book her home again!

Nice house, great location, would go back again. I would add pancake griddle to the kitchen items, as we tried to make pancakes on a cookie sheet and it did not work.

The Perfect Ski Cabin
Linda was very prompt at responding to any questions I had and she provided detailed instructions on how to access the property.. I had absolutely no issues with our stay. Quite frankly the pictures do not do this place justice as it is very roomy and comfortably fit our 12 guests. Despite the negative degree temperatures outside, the fireplace kept us warm throughout the weekend. It is only a few minute drive to Killiongton Ski area and we were able to walk to the Pico lift which was right down the street. The only warning I will give is to be sure you bring a car that is good in the snow, but that should be the case for any cabin in this area. I would recommend Linda's place to anyone who wants to be close to the mountain and I am very glad we chose to stay here!

Great family spot
Linda - our second trip to your home was as successful as the first. We have more than enough room to spread out and enjoy each other. Your place is neat and welcoming. Thank you for all the little extras - from stacks of fresh towels and hair dryers, to ample dishes, pans and beer glasses in the freezer. Truly - all we needed to add was groceries, and we were ready for a great family weekend.Thanks again - you have a great spot.

Great set up for larger family, family room upstairs and downstairs with plenty of space. Owners very accommodating. Short walk to Bonanza Trail had us on the slopes in no time!

Very accommodating and well laid out for a group
We had a great time. Your approximate location to four outstanding Golf courses makes it a perfect place for two foursomes to go for a Golf get away. The home was very clean, and lent itself well for meals and socialization.
Should we decide to organize another Vt golf get away, your home will be first on our list.

Another Enjoyable Vermont Vacation
The vacation home was perfect. It was clean and updated and provided everything one would expect from a well taken care of property. The boot and glove dryer in the mud room was an unexpected surprise. But put to good use. The transactions were easy and all questions were responded to promptly. Great house and mother nature provided 7 inch of unexpected snow the night we arrived. Ya!

Excellent experience from my first contact with the owner Linda all the way through our stay.
The house had excellent proximity to walk a few minutes to the trail that drops right in to Pico's base. Everything that was described about the house was accurate and clean. Plenty of space in the garage to set up and return from our days on Pico. We can't wait to rent again for our future family snowboarding vacations! Thanks again Linda!

Great House, lovely view, and perfect location.
Our group of 8 had a great time here! The house has a nice Vermont charm to it, and was roomy enough for all of us to spread out and make ourselves at home. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and the slopes are just a few minute walk away. The view of Pico out the front windows is beautiful and gets you stoked to get out and go skiing in the morning. Linda, the owner, is extremely nice and helpful, and quick to return messages. The only thing I would recommend is new pictures on the website to show just how nice the place really is!

GREAT FAMILY VACATION
We rented the Pico Chalet as it had sufficent room for family traveling from Florida and South Carolina to spend time with family and friends who live in the area. We had a great time and created more family memories. The kids had a blast and accomplished their goal of hiking all the way to the top of Pico! The house was very clean upon arrival and had plenty of room for the seven of us with the three bedrooms downstairs having two beds each and the master upstairs with a queen size bed and a trundle bed. There is a family room downstairs with a large flat screen TV that allowed the kids to play cards and watch TV, and the adults were able to use the TV upstairs without hearing what was going on downstairs. Both bathrooms provided toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc) similar to what you would find in a nice hotel. The kitchen was well stocked and the dining room table was large enough to seat all seven of us plus some. There were a couple of days where severe weather came through, and it was nice to be able to park both our vehicles in the garage to prevent possible damage. We had to contact the property manager a couple of times, and both times there was an immediate response. The owner was also great to work with and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone wanting to stay on the mountain and hope to visit again in the future.

Nice Cozy House, Convenient Location
We had a lovely time. The house is strategically located adjacent to the Pico bunny hill. You have to walk up the road a little but its not far, then you ski down to the top of the lift. Plenty of beds. The house is very quiet: we didn't have to listen to cartoons from the TV room downstairs. The owner is very responsive. We needed some firewood and he came through for us. No complaints. Good times!
