Just a few short blocks away: Famous restaurants and watering holes, live music, shopping, art galleries, museums, antique shops, Jackson Square and the Moon Walk on the levee of the Mississippi River, Authentic paddle wheel Steam Boat Natchez, La Petite Theatre, Mahalia Jackson Theatre for the Performing Arts, Audubon Aquarium, Harrah's Casino, plus much more!
The cultural love child of genteel old Europe, the exotic Caribbean and the sultry South, New Orleans' original colonial neighborhood sets the scene for memorable romantic getaways. This is a city that revels in its passions, and for the visitor with an open heart the sensuality here can be infectious. It is also a city where people come to celebrate, whether by joining the massive public exuberance of Mardi Gras and other events or marking personal milestones in the lives of lovers, such as honeymoons and anniversaries. When a couple raises a glass in toast to each other, it can seem as though the entire town is following suit here.
Part of the appeal of New Orleans is its relaxed pace - a key ingredient to any romantic experience - and a leisurely carriage ride for two is a romantic way to get acquainted with the neighborhood at the beginning of a visit. Various types of mule-drawn carriages are available for hire at Jackson Square on Decatur Street. Carriage drivers generally narrate their tours of the Quarter with stories of various landmark properties, but just let him or her know at the start that you prefer to concentrate on your companion's company and you will have a serene cruise past the beautiful architecture and colorful street-scapes of the Vieux Carré. Snuggle under a blanket on the occasional chilly evening or bask in the tropical sunshine during another beautiful New Orleans day.
The French Quarter's many elegant restaurants make ideal venues for special meals with loved ones. But while the city is most famous for its Creole cuisine, it is the Italian restaurants of the French Quarter that offer some of the most romantic settings.

The property was clean and perfect for the two of us. The owner was pleasant and extremely helpful. We totally enjoyed our stay. Location was excellent
4.8
The owner was extremely communicative and kind. Had great recommendations of the city.
4.8
Pros:
Price - good price considering the prices in the area.
Clean and amenities - the small room was clean, had mini frig, microwave, and some dishes/silverware to use.
Location - the room was in great proximately to Frenchman Street, the market and restaurants/bars which the owner provided lots of recommendations. The area felt safe to walk around in and as the owner did advise we take everything from our vehicle that we parked on the street to ensure we were not broken into, it was left alone.
Cons:
Bed - The bed was not the most comfortable for us and is starting to feel its age.
AC - the AC had to be turned off when not there and set to no lower than 74 degrees. When we returned in the afternoons, the room was like a sauna and took a full 30+ minutes to cool to a relatively comfortable temp. 74 felt hard for it to maintain and for light sleepers, the wall AC unit kicks on/off all night.
2nd floor - note this unit is on the 2nd floor at the back of the owners house, so you will have to climb stairs to access and bring up luggage.
TV and Wifi - the TV is not a smart TV so you are only able to access cable channels. The wifi struggled to allow us to watch any videos on our phones and sometimes even bring up simple Google searches, so we just used our data to surf which worked for us.
Outdoor area - while it shows a cute little patio area in the photos, that was not there/accessible as the owner has lots of pretty pots / plants filling the tables and chairs now.

Loved the location since I tend to hang around the jazz bars when I visit. Within walking distance (20/30 mins) of everything.
4.8
Very nice stay. Close to everything. Carol was very nice and helpful.
4.8
Everything was great! Only thing that would have been nice to have was a couple of glasses for cold drinks. Other than that, all was good. Close walking distance to Bourbon Street and everywhere else!
Thanks!

The location is GREAT! The room is very nice and clean. The property manager (owner) was great! I'd definitely recommend this place! Close to everything, yet super quiet at night when you need to rest.

The resident and location were nice and safe. Definitely only big enough for single/couple stay. The landlord is what made my stay uncomfortable. I felt like every time I was entering/exiting the location I was being watched out her back window. I was in town with family who stopped by with me when I checked-in. Later that evening, I received a message from the landlord acquiring about the guest and reassuring me the rules of the lease. I replied acknowledging I knew the rules and they were just accompanying me to check-in. It was just weird and I felt watched the duration of my visit.

This cozy location is perfect and right close to the French Quarter. My partner and I walked most everywhere without any trouble. It is clean with many amenities. The owner was helpful and communicative! We definitely will be staying here again in the future!

Great location, close to everything! The perfect little getaway!

Carol’s place is in the perfect location in the Marigny, just a few blocks from Frenchmen St, the French Quarter, and an easy walk to the Bywater. The place is small and has everything you need for a weekend in New Orleans. We had a great trip and would recommend you stay here!
4.8
We had the best time in New Orleans and the property owner was great! The location was perfect for walking to the French Quarter or Frenchman’s Street. My husband and I 💯 recommend.
4.8
Loved how close this place is the Frenchman’s Street. Nice small place to sleep the night away after a long day of walking the French Quarter, eating some good food and listening to some great music.
4.8
This location was cozy, clean, and just right for my Husband and I to stay while exploring NOLA. Ms. Carol was great! She had great recommendations and was so understanding when we arrived at her property early for check-in (We did communicate with her often about our flight and rental car issues). We hope to come back soon and stay at her location again.

This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time visiting New Orleans and we couldn’t have asked for a better hostess! Carol was just wonderful and her lofty oasis was the perfect place to stay. It’s in the perfect location. Close enough to walk to the busiest part of the French Quarter but far enough away to not be kept up late with the hustle and bustle of the city at night. We very much enjoyed our stay.
4.8
Close to everything in the French Quarter. You can walk to most things in the area. Loved Frenchman St as well as the market. Make sure to do the cemetery tour and a sunset paddle boat ride. There is so much more.
The apartment had what you need for a visit similar to a motel room. It was smaller than it appeared in the pictures but for the price, it was comfortable.
4.8
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Carol’s rental is located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s a short drive or walk from many great places and it was easy to find parking along the street. I felt safe throughout our visit.
The room itself is small but it has all the essentials and it’s cute. The bed was a little soft for my liking because I have arthritis in my back and I sunk in so it was hard getting up but that’s no fault of the owner.
Carol was very nice and helpful. She offered us recommendations on where to go have breakfast on our first morning there and the cafe she suggested was amazing.
I’d recommend staying here if you’re traveling solo, with a partner or close friend.

4.8
This was a quiet neighborhood that was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go.
4.8
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property was exactly as described & conveniently located right between Bourbon & Frenchman so it was easy to walk everywhere. The neighborhood was quiet & I never felt unsafe. Carol was a joy & a pleasure to work with & will definitely be contacting her for my next visit to New Orleans.
4.8
Close to the Frenchman Street music area! Carol is very knowledge of things to do while in NOLA . Great place for a couple.
4.8
Save your money and find another place to stay. Carol was rude and told me to go back to my state when I voiced my displeasure of a man walking in the road with a semiautomatic weapon half block from the room. She told me that’s what it’s like in a city.
Very tiny space. The bed was a disaster to try to sleep in and made horrible noises when either of us moved.. AC rules made the place excessively stuffy and no fan was provided in the room.
We stayed one night out of the 4 we regrettably paid for and left the next morning to find accommodations that were comfortable and we felt safe to walk to and from.
4.8
Carol’s description is spot on. We parked in front and never got in it until we left. We did a lot of walking and loved it. Carol’s recommendations were spot on.
4.8
Small and quaint unit that is perfect for the solo-traveler. Great location and close to everything in the French Quarter and all the great spots on Frenchman.
4.8
This sweet place was perfect for my visit to New Orleans. The location is wonderful and is in the heart of Nola. The room was clean and charming. It is in the back and was quiet and a peaceful place to be. Carol was a wonderful host!
4.8
This was our first time visiting New Orleans, and we had the best vacation we’ve ever had! The location of this stay was perfect-walking distance to everything. We especially enjoyed walking Frenchmen street. Carol was just a message away with anything we need. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, cute room. Perfect for a couple!
4.8
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Carol’s. Location is absolutely perfect!!! About a 15 minute walk to the middle of Bourbon Street and only a couple of blocks from Frenchman. Carol was so sweet and gave phenomenal recommendations. We will definitely be staying again in the future!! Ohh and always felt safe even walking back at night.
4.8
The rental was just right for a couple. Quite friendly everything was easy to get to. Definitely have to go back cause we did not see everything.
4.8
The room is quite small but workable. The neighborhood is nice and close to the Hop On Hop Off bus stop. It was not far to walk to the French Quarter. Carol was helpful with suggestions.
4.8

My husband and I love New Orleans! We rey to visit once a year but never have to much time. Carol’s place was perfect for us! Exactly where we wanted to be, close to all our favorite spots and was so cute and comfortable.

My partner and I went for a pre-holiday adventure to New Orleans and this place was perfect for the two of us, great location and cozy setup. The setting made us feel like we were definitely getting a more local experience than staying at a hotel, and Carol was helpful, communicative and available as needed. Would definitely recommend for a couples (or solo) getaway!
