About this apartment rental
With views of the Atlantic Ocean from one side and those of the Intracoastal Waterway from the other, Windjammer 412 is like a little slice of heaven. In fact, the condo complex is a narrow slice of Anastasia Island nestled between the ocean and the river. This means you can savor both golden sunrises over the rolling surf and fiery sunsets above the quiet river--all from the privacy of your spacious three-bedroom unit.
There's plenty more to enjoy as well, of course: a private walkway to the sugary white sands of St. Augustine Beach, a fenced-in swimming pool, lighted tennis courts. You can stroll to Windjammer's private pier on the famed Intracoastal, where you can launch a kayak or fish for flounder or trout--which you can grill on the complex's outdoor barbecue.
Believe it or not, all that's within walking distance. Once you hop in your car, you're just minutes from historic St. Augustine and Marineland, not to mention plenty of restaurants, shops, and golf courses. Even the Orlando theme parks are only a day trip away.
Despite all the sights and outdoor activities at your disposal, you do have to come indoors sometimes, and Windjammer 412 is a lovely place to come home to. A penthouse unit in an elevator building, it's recently been updated. Among the new furnishings are the chairs and tables on the deck, which is large enough for you to dine alfresco (after all, the salt-scented ocean breeze makes everything taste better!).
The deck opens onto the living room, which is elegantly furnished with plush seating you'll love sinking into. There's plenty of room for everyone to kick back and watch a movie on the large HDTV, surf the web via our free wifi, play a game of cards, or settle in with a good book.

We had a wonderful stay at this unit. The views are just amazing and the unit is spacious and comfortable. Beach access is easy and it was very quiet and peaceful on this stretch of pristine clean beach. The only minor inconvenience is the tiny showers. They could remedy this by a lower profile shower knob and a shower head that comes from the ceiling. We all banged our arms up and bumbed our heads on the knob showering, and my 6ft plus husband and son were all up in the shower head. But, everything else was so great that, that would not keep us from staying here again.

Upon entering the condo, the first thing we noticed was the views from both the front and back! Atlantic Ocean in front and the Matanzas River in the back. Two problems right from the beginning were that there were only 4 bath towels for a 7 person condo, no beach towels, and lots of bugs on the ocean side deck. there were so many flying bugs, we really couldn't go out there. We called the management, and they did deliver more towels right away. We had to buy beach towels and bug spray. The place could use a deep cleaning, and some paint as its a little rough around the edges. The showers are tiny. Others have complained about the televisions. We never used them, but the guest bedroom TV's did not work at all. When on vacation, we don't watch TV so this was not a big deal. The fishing pier across the street was a definite plus, and the beach access could not have been better. The kitchen was adequate, pots and pans are well worn. Having a washer and dryer was very useful. We rented a pontoon boat from Devil's Elbow,(right down the road a bit) and what a great time! The crew there were all so helpful. The condo is also close to a few good restaurants. I would stay here again because the location was perfect, and the views were awesome. Next time I know to bring my own beach towels!

The location and views of this condo are perfect - exactly what we were looking for.
That said,
After coming to Crescent for the past 8+yrs and staying in various condos/homes....this was by far the most out outdated and dirty. We spent the first 2hrs vacuuming and wiping down the condo upon arrival. The back porch had an infestation of flies/gnats which prevented us from utilizing the porch as much as we wanted - 4 cans of insect spray allowed us some time. Upon arrival, the refrigerator has an interior leak and the entire refrig had to be wiped up/down (for those interested, leave the bowl on the top shelf), the washer/dryer are 15+yrs old and sound like there going to explode with every use and the TVs are from 1980 - luckily, we got 1 of the 4 to work for the evenings.
That said, to the ownership - Please make the investment in upgrading, I can assure you the expectations we had were not met for the price paid.

The condo is pretty much as described; however, is in need of deep cleaning and updating. Finding 3 bedroom condos isn't that easy and this one accommodated our multi-generational family very well. Two balconies is great but one needs pest control as insects swarm day and night. Plastic chairs on balcony are all cracked and will pinch you or break (even when used by a small person). The condo is a few miles out from the restaurants on St Augustine beach but the ride isn't bad and we found some excellent places to eat. The kitchen is so overstocked that there isn't one cabinet to put your own food and snacks. Yes, we had a nice vacation and the condo is well-appointed and quiet. Having no beach or pool after 8PM was a disappointment for the kids so I would not choose this condo again. Turtle nesting on the beach I understand but the pool is on the highway side away from the beach so should have been open.

We stayed three weeks and enjoyed our stay. Once you are there for a couple of days, you look past the small showers with no doors, lack of kitchen supplies, and kitchen tile coming up. I mention these for the management to look at. There were no wineglasses so, we drank our evening wine from coffee mugs. The tvs are outdated but, if you disconnect the cable you can use your fire stick in its place. For the money we paid, I expected higher quality. We would rent it again because the location and views are breathtaking.

Overall unit was good: especially kitchen supplies!! Only complaint was TV very outdated and worked sporadically. Wasn't super important to us as we were outside enjoying beach or shopping. Beach was very nice.

Spacious Condo
The condo is spacious and homey however it needs a deep cleaning. The woodwork and doors were awful. There was hair free m previous tenants on bedroom dresser and bathrooms. For the amount of cleaning fee and the rule if it takes them more than 5 hours to clean, you pay extra, this place should be immaculate!

Great Views
This property has a lot going for it. Good layout, spacious rooms, large kitchen, wonderful views back and front, covered porch overlooking the ocean. I would have liked it give it a 5 star rating, but....There are small items missing: there is only one blanket, all the drinking glasses are plastic, shortage of clothes hangers, the throw rugs are worn and looked soiled. The biggest problem, and it was a BIG problem was the TV. The TV in the family room is not a smart TV. Nor does the TV have the capability to record programs. So the only TV viewing possible was whatever was currently on cable. Frustrated, I decided to buy a fire stick so I could access my Netflix and Prime accounts; unfortunately the TV is so old that there is no HDMI plug. There was a DVD player, but unless you brought your own DVD’s, you only had cable TV to watch. The condo had a lot to like but the lack of a smart TV is a deal breaker.

Mostly excellent
The only complaints I would give is the bathroom shower could be larger. I would also try having appliance service people scheduled to come in on a day the property wasn’t booked. I could understand if they came as a result of some issue the renter had, but this was near the end of our trip and completely unexpected.

Windjammer Crescent Beach Fla
Very nice condo. Great views! Watch sunrise over the ocean from the master bedroom or deck. Then see the sunset over the marsh and ICW from the other bedrooms or their deck. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed in master. Plenty of towels. Showers are small. No tub. Grounds are well kept.

First timers
This was our first stay at Windjammer, but not our first at Crescent Beach. We loved our stay! The only downfall was the elevator thru the garage to get to the beach. And watch the black steps on the deck to the hose....THEY GET VERY HOT! They will burn your bare feet to blister. And our stay time involved renovation of the tennis courts, so there was construction going on.

Fantastic location. Great layout. Helpful owner.
Location was great for us. Second balcony overlooking the Interacoastal Waterway was a real bonus. Saw beautiful sunrises and surf from main balcony, and beautiful sunsets and yachts from the second balcony. Beach never crowded. Beds were good, as were the linens throughout. Some kitchen items were pretty worn and need to be replaced. Toaster worked sometimes but not others. When we arrived, we found some broken resin chairs on the second balcony and called management. The owner came promptly and removed the broken chairs and returned a day later with some new much better chairs. Overall, would not hesitate to come back.

Spectacular views!!
Spectacular views of the ocean and intercoastal from either balcony. Condo had a great floorplan but is a little dated. Furniture is comfy although the queen mattress in the spare bedroom was uncomfortable. Like most rentals we've stayed at it could have been a little cleaner but all in all a great vacation retreat!!

Oceanfront Property
Building is 70's construction but 412 has been tastefully updated. We enjoyed watching the ocean from our balcony and listening to the wind and the waves. We especially liked the covered parking garage and the elevator. This condo is a place to relax and wind down. We all slept like babies. Beds and pillows were comfy. Washer and dryer worked great as did the ice maker. If you are looking for a sparkling new condo with all the bells and whistles, keep looking. But if you want a reasonably priced, comfortatable place, located right at the ocean's door, book this unit. The building is currently receiving some major renovations, but the noise is minimal. We would book it again.
