About this house rental
Peaceful, pet-free family getaway on the crystal-clear Rainbow River.
Nestled in nature, sip coffee under a canopy of trees and enjoy the tranquil water views. Watch the wildlife from our spacious deck, waterfront dock or 3 covered porches. Kids will leave their phones behind with abundant outdoor activities including tubing, paddling, fishing, snorkeling, and more. ~2,700k sq ft home recently renovated to ensure utmost comfort and convenience for our guests.
Ideal location on a quiet part of the river, near the confluence of Rainbow/Withlacoochee rivers and overlooking a preserve. Short walk or bike to the Dunnellon trail and local restaurants. Publix and Walmart 5 min drive.
At night enjoy a bottle of wine at the fire pit on an open deck overlooking the river while grilling out or sharing a meal from our full-service kitchen. Alternatively, take advantage of the great location close to town center by walking or biking to local bar/restaurants.
All bedrooms have ceiling fans and window treatments. Bedroom breakdown:
Master - 1 king bed w/private bath
2nd bedroom - 2 twin beds. Shares guest bath with 3rd bedroom
3rd bedroom - 1 king bed. Shares guest bath with 2nd bedroom
"Quad room" - separate room great for kids. Includes 2 trundle beds with total of 4 twin mattresses. Also has a private full bath. This room is only available for reservations with 7 or more guests. Special charges apply $10 pp per night 7+).
Fully equipped kitchen includes brand new high end appliances (Fridge, range, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, separate beverage fridge, toaster, coffee maker (Kuerig and drip). Cooks will be right at home in our kitchen - plenty of baking dishes, flatware, serving ware, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and utensils. We have a few basic condiments and spices available.
During the day snorkel, float, canoe or kayak down the Rainbow river and drop off at the house. ~4.5 hour float from K.P. Hole; 3 hour float from Rainbow River State park. Or 45 minute float from Blue Run. For boating, rent a pontoon or jon boat from Blue Gator nearby and head to the Withlacoochee River for nature watching or bass fishing. For exercise, walk, jog, or bike to the nearby Dunnellon trail at Blue Run park, 1/2 mile walk away. 4 bikes are available to our guests.
If you want to mix in some saltwater, we are a 30 minute drive to Yankeetown or Crystal River where we can connect you with boat captain to take you scalloping, fishing or swimming with the manatees. You can also enjoy quality time with the family with plenty of board games, DVDs, and streaming TV on Xfinity (Comcast) app via Roku.
To preserve the tranquil atmosphere for our neighbors, no parties or events. Quiet hours 9:00pm-8:00am. Thank you for not smoking on the property. We have a pet-free home, thank you for understanding.

The house is so perfectly located for a quiet nature filled stay. When you are sitting outside, it does not even feel like there are neighbors. We saw so many birds and a few otters. We fished right off the dock. The house is nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Definitely would recommend!

I took my son and a few friends. House was great, just as described.. the location is ideal. It has an excellent view of the river and we had a cool breeze all day.. I was able to sit outside and work in the shade.

The house is great! Has everything you need, plenty of space for everyone. We loved the kayaks, floats, hammock, and rope swing. The swimming hole was great, kids had a blast jumping off the dock! We kayaked and biked to Swampys, the food was good, it was great fun. We hope to make this an annual trip

We had a wonderful week in this lovely home on the Rainbow River. The house is wonderfully equipped both inside and out, from kitchen gear to kayaks. There were seven adults - me, my brother & his wife, my daughter & her husband, and my son & his wife - and it was super comfortable for all. There's plenty to do in the area if you love the outdoors. We biked, kayaked, swam, tubed, walked, and enjoyed dinners around the great big table overlooking the Rainbow River.

We really enjoyed our stay at this magical piece of property. Our four kids very much appreciated the swing, paddle board and kayaks. Kids loved the quad room for sleeping, hanging out, and gaming. Beds were comfortable. The river is such an experience that we will treasure forever.

Perfectly located on the Rainbow River near its confluence the Withlacooche. This is a birder’s paradise located within walking distance to Dunnellon Park and Swampy’s riverside restaurant. Relaxation or as much activity as you want is all right there. Brock and Katie have created the perfect river getaway. We’ll definitely return.

We have done this trip 4 years and the last 2 have been at this property. It has not disappointed at all. Great accommodations clean comfortable and peaceful. I would recommend this place for anyone options are all there family adults and couples. Adventure is absolutely also an option fishing swimmers kayak and nightlife available. My wife and I put in kayaks at KP hole on the Rainbow river and did 3 hours float-paddle back to the dock at the property. Amazing. We will recommend and be back again.

From start to finish, our stay was fantastic. The home is well appointed with everything we could have possibly needed. I was stunned by all of the items provided (kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, towels, household items, and more)
We were conveniently located near shopping and activities, but it felt like we were staying on a secluded river. There were so many different areas of the home to enjoy our time. Our favorite was dinner on the patio overlooking the crystal blue waters of the river.
Communication throughout our stay was a breeze, and everyone was so friendly. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We will definitely be back with the entire family!

The property was awesome and just as described in the listing. The owners were very responsive and great to work with. The house had many amenities to make our stay very comfortable. We had three families meet to enjoy time together. The River was beautiful and we had a great time fishing and spending time together. The young adults and kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards. This property was amazing! The river was absolutely beautiful. We saw otters, gators, and a owl right from the back deck! The kids loved the swing and played outside the entire time in the water! They had plenty of kayaks and a paddle board. The house was super clean. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our checkin was good and that we had everything we needed! Plenty of towels, supplies, and room for 9 people. We buildt a fire at night and the river was very clear. There is a Walmart and Publix about 5 minutes from the house to grab groceries. We ate at Swampys just a short 10 minute kayack trip from the house! We loved this place and had an amazing time. We did not want to leave. Cant wait to come back!

Peaceful spot on the Rainbow River just downstream from the hustle and bustle. So serene and beautiful. A quick paddle up to Swampy’s. Just across the water from the house is a little lagoon with the perfect swimming hole. Plenty of kayaks, floats and a paddle board are at the ready. We loved lounging in the hanging chairs too! House was well equipped with everything we needed. Beds are comfy. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!!

We enjoyed our time kayaking, tubing, hiking and relaxing. It was a nice break from our busy work lives. Host was great with communication. House was nice and comfortable. My only complaint is I feel the 4th bedroom should be included for that price. Overall we had a great time .

Perfect setting! House has all the amenities you could ask for including a perfect spot for entry/exit of the river. Clear and shallow at the dock makes for a refreshing dip in the cold river. Plenty of space in the house for adults and teens. Looking forward to our stay next summer as well.

We feel so fortunate to even have access to this stunning property. The back yard on the springs is where we spend most of our time. We love that they provide bikes, kayaks, a river mat for the kids, tubes for tubing, a canoe, the chair swings on the deck is where we enjoy our morning coffee..the swing over the water is pretty cool too. They have everything you could possibly need to be comfortable. Our party of 8 had plenty of space to relax and sleep comfortably. See you again soon!

Great all around communication with owners. Well stocked with everything you could need for the river. Loved the bedrooms, kitchen, foosball table, kayaks and swing. Plenty of dishes, towels and toiletries. This was the perfect location for nature watching. Loved tubing the river to the house! We loved this house! So much great wildlife watching. We made good use of the kayaks, tubes and bicycles. Put in upstream and take out at the cabin! Wonderful large deck space, dock and screened porches. Excellent host communication. We would definitely rent this space again.

Our family had a great time relaxing and enjoying the water together. The kids spent many hours fishing. We all enjoyed kayaking. The house was perfect for our family. The quad room was great for little ones needing to go to bed early/naps because of the additional door to keep it extra quiet.
