Very convenient to downtown but still quiet! Detailed instructions and location of items for our use were so helpful.

Birky’s was a great house for weekend away. It’s an easy walk away from downtown Saugatuck. The house was clean and roomy.

The only concern is if you have people who have a hard time with stairs as they are a little steep, but it is an old house and how they came in the day. Great stay

My family and I had an amazing time at Birky’s on Butler. Communication with the owner was great and the check-in/check-out process was seamless. The location was also a highlight with the house being a short walk to shops, restaurants and a park. We also appreciated all the extras that were included, such as parking, beach towels, and yard games. We’ll definitely be back!

Birky's on Butler is the ideal spot for a stay in Saugatuck if you want to be in walking distance of everything the town has to offer yet it's at the quieter end of Butler for when you are relaxing at the property. Believe it or not, the K-zoo River is only a short block from the house in 2 different directions. The home is perfectly sized for 2 couples or a small family (perhaps not recommended for very young children due to the steep staircase leading up to the bedrooms). There is a nicely sized yard (w/grill and table) for outdoor games and relaxation. It is clearly a multi-generational family home that has been lovingly cared for over the years. Eric has thought of everything when equipping the house including a generous selection of beach items in case you forgot or were unable to transport anything to Saugatuck. Overall highly recommended for the perfect getaway!

We have visited Saugatuck many times , this home is on the Main Street a few blocks from the center of town ( great location ) . The steep stairs going up to the second floor bedrooms are difficult to navigate , especially with luggage in hand .

This historic home in Saugatuck was perfect for my family of six. So close to town, with a great outdoor space. The owner was fantastic as I had sent a few messages to him and he responded within minutes! The house also includes those little extra things you appreciate, like beach towels, tupperware for packing food, yard games, etc. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Saugatuck to stay here! We'll be back!!

We stayed here for a long weekend & loved everything about this house except the cleanliness of it. It is very cute and in a great location blocks from downtown Saugatuck. However, the towels had been washed but then hung up in the bathrooms while they were still wet. Very strange -- especially because there were dry towels on shelves in the laundry area. We also noticed food under some of the furniture and leftover pieces of garbage in the bedroom garbage cans. None of this ruined our trip, but it did make us worry about the overall cleanliness -- especially during COVID quarantine!

Location was perfect, the house was spacious, nice and well stocked! Having a washer and dryer was so convenient! The house has so much charm. Would stay again.

This house was amazing. It was charming, clean, roomy and had everything you could possibly need. The location to town and the beach was perfect. You can walk everywhere (even to the beach if you take the ferry across the river). The owner was extremely responsive and easy to deal with. We will stay here again and highly recommend it.

This was a girls weekend. We wanted to be close to town, shops and the beach. It was perfect for town - it is a 15 minute drive to the beach. All in all had a great trip.

Perfect stay in perfect home in perfect location
We loved this beautiful home and appreciated the details and history of the home. Eric thought of everything and provides guests with everything one would need. Check in was easy. The location of this home can't be beat. It's one block to Water Street and just a few blocks to all the shopping!!! This home is located on a quiet street with sidewalks. The beds were super comfy and we slept great. Great front and side porch. Eric was a wonderful host and I would not hesitate to stay at any of his properties. This home is a real gem.

Charming taste of historic Saugatuck
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Birky's. Hope to stay again on our next visit to the area - anyone reading this can book with confidence but don't love it so much that it's not available when we want to come back. (Or maybe we can have first dibs, please?) Thanks to Eric for great communication and easy check in/check out.

Perfect for our weekend in Saugatuck
We were in town for a wedding and rented the house as 2 couples. It was an easy 5-10 minute walk into town for food and shopping or for a stroll along the water to watch the boats come through.

Great Labor Day Weekend!
Birky's is the perfect lake vacation house. Can't beat the location - it is walkable to everything in downtown Saugatuck and the $1 shuttle takes you everywhere else if you don't want to drive. The house is very clean, organized and very well stocked. Tons of indoor and outdoor games, balls etc which we took advantage of! Just to note, the stairs are quite steep and narrow if you have any mobility issues. Eric was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

As good as advertised
We stayed here for a family wedding, everything listed for the property was as advertised. Great communication with the property owner & would definitely stay here again. The only negative thing with this property was the owner is a Michigan State fan, LOL GO IRISH!

Charming house, ideal location -- perfect
The house is in the ideal location -- one short block from the water (right near chain ferry and great boat rentals). It's close enough to the shops and restaurants to be extremely walkable, but far enough to be extremely quiet. With quiet, breezy nights and ceiling fans in every room, we did not even need the air conditioning (which was on when we arrived and worked well). The house had everything we needed, and one of our party is already planning on renting it again next summer.

Great Saugatuck House
Birky's on Butler was a great house! There were 4 gals on our trip and the house had plenty of room. The place was clean and full of character!
Great location - about a 5-10 minute walk from downtown and a 3-4 minute walk to the water.
Communication was great - Eric responded to all my messages quickly. Would definitely stay here again!
