About this chalet rental

Slide View is a cozy chalet that will help complete your Adirondack experience with its majestic mountain views. This chalet offers 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms with room for 7 people. Wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee in an Adirondack Chair on the balcony off the master bedroom. Come home after hiking, skiing or fishing and enjoy dinner on the front deck while enjoying your view of Whiteface Mountain. Everything has been remodeled with new furniture, hardwood floors and amenities throughout. The upstairs bedrooms have queen pillow-top beds and the downstairs bedroom has a extra long twin over a queen bunk bed.
This Wilmington location is a three minute drive to Whiteface Mountain and a 15 minute scenic ride beside the Ausable River to the Olympic Village of Lake Placid.

I stayed here with my husband, kids (ages 3 and 5) and parents. The chalet was perfect for our family. It was clean, and there was plenty of space. One evening we enjoyed some s’mores around the fire pit. I definitely recommend this chalet and would stay here again if we’re back in the area!

Amazing Ski Trip

Amazing Ski Trip

What a great trip. The house worked perfect for us and was so close to Whiteface the truck wasn’t even warmed up when we got there. The house had everything you could need. The driveway was also cleared of snow while we were here. We utilized the grill most nights but did have a great dinner at Rick’s Scar Bar which was less than a mile away. I think we got the best week of skiing the entire season. Snowed over 30 inches while we were here and we even got an epic powder day in!! So glad we got to see this beautiful place. Would recommend Slide View Chalet to anyone and can’t wait to make it back up to Whiteface and the Adirondack’s. David

Tucked into a quiet Wilmington neighborhood, the Slideview Chalet was a great place to stay while visiting Lake Placid. Cozy, yet roomy enough for our party of three. The furnishings were very tasteful and the bedding was delightful after a long day of outdoor activity. Ideally located barely 3 minutes to Whiteface Mountain and a short scenic drive to the other Olympic venues. Beautiful Mountain views from the front deck where we had morning coffee and evening refreshments. We had a great time, thank you for your hospitality!

This property was exactly as described. The Chalet was awesome, the furniture was unique, and the location and view was more than we could ask for. We wanted our Granddaughters to have an Adirondack experience and this was a perfect place for it. Although our stay at the Chalet was for only 2 nights the memories we made there are forever. Next time we hope to be able to have a longer stay.

We stayed here while doing IronMan Lake Placid. It’s about 20 minutes away from race site but a beautiful peaceful getaway. The house is small but very clean and perfect for a family of four.

Everything was great! Check in was smooth, key left for us.. the house was clean, we had an issue with the refrigerator...was looked into almost immediately...the house... BEAUTIFUL.., the view, BEAUTIFUL!! Location is great, in close proximity to many of the treasures that the area has to offer. Would most definitely rent this home again!

Great place to relax, ski, hike near Whiteface Mountain! Chalet was spotless and comfortable. Great communication with owners, no issues whatsoever! We had 4 people in our party and felt very comfortable. Kitchen well stocked for cooking if needed. Will come here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was smaller than it looked in the pictures, but much nicer. It was clean (the bathrooms were practically gleaming) and everything was up to date. The linens were really soft and the blankets nice and cozy. The living space is small for 6 people, but we were out all day, so it really didn't matter. I highly recommend this rental. The online pictures do not do it justice.

Beautiful chalet that looks out on to White Face Mountain. We so enjoyed our stay, with Placid only 15 minutes way and many other destinations super close by. Hiked several mountain trails and visited High Falls Gorge. Every time we are in the area try new restaurants (Big Slide in Placid and the restaurant at high falls gorge) both were excellent! Though the area was fantastic, the Slideview chalet was just as fantastic and is a little gem in the Adirondacks. We enjohed our time there, highly recommend, and would definitely reserve again. This cabin is a 5 star cabin. Only reason I'm giving it 4 is that it could use more living room seating. Like a love seat and a ottoman for the couch to be really comfortable. Other than that we absolutely enjoyed our relaxing stay in the cabin. Awesome views of whiteface, and close. Can't wait for our stay next year. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay! Incredibly comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well stocked and the location was perfect for what we were looking for. We were only three people but the house could have comfortably slept twice that many. Highly recccommended!

In town for the weekend for a wedding. House was as pictured and described. Very clean and well taken care of. A short 15 min drive into Lake Placid. Within minutes of Whiteface mountain. House had fire pit area and grill available. Two ADK chairs upstairs on balcony. Wished there were chairs downstairs or around the fire pit. Had to stand the whole time we were outside because we were not aware we had to bring our own camping chairs. Also tried to use the grill and realized there was no tank underneath. These were the only items we noticed were missing. Thanks again for a great stay!
