About this apartment rental
Located on Morse Mountain at Smuggler's Notch, Vermont. This beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath town home accommodates 8 and includes a full kitchen stocked with gourmet kitchenware, dining room with table for 8, Washer/Dryer, large living area with massive pull-out couch and large screen HD TV, 2 fireplaces, community pool. My main unit is at Trailside Highlands but I may also offer alternative comparable locations at Smugglers Notch depending on availability.
Note, private rentals only include amenities associated with specific condominium. A resort fee is charged by Smuggs at ~$45 that includes use of amenities associated with specific condominium unit. On-site shuttle service to resort amenities as well as local restaurants and watering holes runs daily from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight in the winter and summer seasons. Other amenities throughout the resort require a pass to be purchased directly with Smugglers Notch.

First I want to say that Russ was a wonderful host. He was quick to answer any questions I had and everything with reservations were smooth. The condo we stayed in was in the Sycamore’s, on the third floor, which was in a beautiful location with wonderful views. The condo itself was perfect for us, 4 adults, and had everything we needed. Very clean too! We will definitely be returning next year.

When reviewing this property to rent, I viewed the map and saw this was ski in/ski out on Morse Mtn. That as a huge factor of why we picked this location over a few others. A few weeks later, the host informed us that we have been submitted for an “upgrade” and will hear from the resort about additional details. We were then “upgraded” to a presidential suite. Allegedly this has more space, however, we were no longer ski in/ski out. The resort did provide an outstanding shuttle service that would pick you up within minutes of calling, however, we were no longer able to ski to our VRBO rental for a quick lunch break.
Besides the location issue, the overall property was super clean and roomy. The check in process was super easy and the resort employees were very friendly.

Nice size. No kitchen towels. No cold water in kitchen. Living room fireplace wouldn’t stay on. Bathroom lights not bright enough. Muddy road. With all that said we really enjoyed would rent again. Wish restaurants in the area were open so many closed😞

Russell was a prompt and helpful host, easy to work with. Our Smuggs week was a great break, not far from home, but a chance to unwind and do something different even during a pandemic. The condo was great, my crew are dedicated riders/skiers but I enjoyed the nordic trails and being in the woods myself. Not many folks on those nordic trails so it was peaceful and beautiful to be out there. My husband and I also skied the Notch Road which I highly recommend, it would also have been easy to walk/hike the road as the snow wasn't deep. Housekeeping staff are very cheerful and obviously working so hard to keep things clean and feeling safe. All in all a nice week away.

Depending on who I spoke to on the phone they did not seem to understand the arrangement between the owner and Wyndham for renters. Overall we liked skiing at smugglers notch very much. There are many activities. We were hoping to swim in the outdoor heated pool but it was closed the whole time with a sign saying the outdoor temperatures were too cold.

Smuggs getaway
Overall the stay was really enjoyable for our family. My issue was that we did not stay at the unit advertised, and the ski-in ski out was not as easy as it would have been in the advertised unit. Now, I will say that the unit we stayed in was really nice, and had advantages over the advertised unit which included a heated outdoor pool that my kids loved! The other surprise is that Wyndham resorts were really running the rental and they were persistent but not obnoxious about trying to get me and my wife to attend a meeting regarding buying a time share, offering me money off of my stay. Not even sure how that would work since I rented and prepaid through Russel who was very attentive by the way. I just feel like I should have had a clearer picture of all of this ahead of time.

We had a fantastic time at Russell's condo. The apartment was spacious, clean, and has plenty of space for a family of four. Kitchen has basic utensils to cook at home and we loved the king bed and the jacuzzi. Also, it is very bright with large windows, has a patio to play outside in the snow, and offers great views of the mountains. And Russell was always responsive. We highly recommend the place.

We had a fantastic time at Russell's condo. The apartment was spacious, clean, and has plenty of space for a family of four. Kitchen has basic utensils to cook at home and we loved the king bed and the jacuzzi. Also, it is very bright with large windows, has a patio to play outside in the snow, and offers great views of the mountains. And Russell was always responsive. We highly recommend the place.
