We celebrated our anniversary and it was the perfect spot! The view is breathtaking. It was very easy to get to Vancouver from the train. The host was excellent she gave us great information on places to see and things to do. She gave us all the info for the train ahead of time. There was even a bottle of champagne waiting for us! Can’t wait to go back!

We booked this property for my brother who was visiting out of town. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the owners. Communication was excellent, the property was beautiful and clean, and the location is quiet yet very convenient to services. They went above and beyond to make sure my brother had a good stay. We will definitely book out of town guests there again.

My husband and I loved this stay. For less cost than a cookie-cutter downtown hotel, we got the most beautiful view in the most lovely neighborhood with an exceptional host. We took the skytrain when we went to downtown and even though it was a commute, the views were worth it (try to take the West Coast Express). We are from the states and after a small learning curve, found the public transportation easy to use and very affordable. However, there was also a lot of space for parking. The Shoreline Trail is gorgeous and leads to "Brewery Lane." We would definitely stay again.

We had the pleasure of this very quaint comfortable and beautiful view location in Port Moody. What a great place to wake up looking at the water enjoying breakfast or a glass of wine sitting in the hot tub at night. One of the advantages of this location for us was its proximity to our kids. We look forward to staying again soon.

My husband treated me to a 40th birthday trip to Vancouver, and allowed me to pick where we’d stay. I found this VRBO property and instantly fell in love. We thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay on Port Moody. The hosts were absolutely lovely and provided so much info about the area and popular places to check out. We enjoyed breakfasts on the patio overlooking the port, and nights sitting in the hot tub listening to the water and breeze through the trees. This VRBO did not disappoint and we will most definitely be booking another trip here!!!

We chose this apartment as our hub for exploring the Port Moody and Vancouver area. We loved the location on the inlet and were able to enjoy the water from the dock and patios. The hot tub, pool table and foosball were welcome extras! The owners were readily available for any advice and help needed. The bed was comfy and while the bar area was our "kitchen" we had all we needed as we were dining out mostly. The small fridge even had a small freezer section and there was a filter for the coffee maker. Welcome muffins were waiting on our arrival!

We really enjoyed our few days at Port Moody, despite not having a car we managed to get out and about fairly easily either walking or using the local bus.The bus runs every hour during Sunday’s and holidays so planning required.Elaine is a fantastic host, offering advice if required. We were pleased to be welcomed with home made scones and jam. Elaine kindly stored our hire cycles in the garage overnight. Word of warning, there are quite a few steps down to the property for anyone with reduced mobility. Also there is another unit which was also let so we were unsure about the deck and hot tub access but we did not have any problems ourselves. The apartment is great with a full size snooker and football tables. All amenities although no hob there is a microwave. Lovely steam shower!Loads to do in Port Moody, we had a great time away from the city. Thanks Elaine, if we ever return we will definitely stay at Elaine’s place.

Let me start by saying that the property was superb and the owners Damien and Elaine were an absolutely delight. Its pot luck when you book something online, but we wasn't disappointed with this choice. Elaine met us as we parked up on a quiet road above the property (always plenty of parking). Our third level expansive part of the whole property didn't disappoint, it was wonderfully cool (even on a very hot day) and with a quite unique layout with the snooker and fussball table etc. Two things for me are the bed and shower, the bed was super comfy and walk-in shower. We loved spending the evening outside on the sun loungers watching the lovely view over the inlet, with some BBQ food, glass of wine and reading. We never did get to use the hot-tub, but only because the weather was so kind to us. Elaine and Damien were able to achieve the perfect balance of being totally accessible and engaging when we required it and yet they provided us privacy when we needed it, and that's a tricky thing to achieve when you have adjoining floors. So to summarize the property: it was perfectly positioned outside of Vancouver city, so you were in lovely countryside and yet just 30-40 mins from the city by train (or car).So now for some tourist tips (much of which came from Elaine herself): If you want to have a drink during the day and not worry about driving, park you car at Port Moody station ($3 all day - remember your bay number) and a all-day return train ticket $10.50, both payable on the machines using credit cards. Use the Millennium Line and change trains at "Commercial-Broadway" and get the Expo Line to Burrard (for Stanley Park) or Riverfront station for stroll around promenade. Thoroughly recommend cycling all around (and through some of the more adventurous trails inside) Stanley Park ( we rented bikes from "Spokes"). From the property itself there is a lovely walk around Port Moody bay and Fish and Chips at Pajos takeaway in the park area. There was also a very nice micro-brewery called "Parkside" on the main road). Elaine has an encyclopedic knowledge of places to visit so do ask her. She advised us to go to Lynn Canyon (which has free parking, nice food in cafe, lovely trails and a smaller suspension bridge).Anyway, we loved Port Moody, close enough to Vancouver to easily visit for days without paying the ludicrous hotel prices and yet far enough away to be in lovely scenery of an evening and the freedom to sit outside and BBQ. We loved it!

Great place to stay
We went to Vancouver to meet our new Grand daughter. My son and his wife have a very small condo. So we stayed at Elaine's wonderful spot. The pictures are true to the place. Lots and lots of room. My son's wife Katie's parents live on Vancouver Island, we all wanted to visit together, so I asked Elaine if we could host a BBQ? No problem, we had a great visit. Elaine is kind and considerate nothing is too much trouble. We enjoyed ourselves and will return next time we visit Vancouver.

Great views and hot tub
Amazing views of the bay with a hot tub to enjoy it. Great communication with the manager as well.
