We absolutely lived our stay here. Location was amazing and the property managers Karen and Clint were very respinsive and helpful. Going back next year

Karen Koble, the manager, was so friendly and helpful. We were very impressed with the clean and tidy cute cabin, the beautiful lake view and surrounding area. We had a delightful first day there, however the Park Fire blew heavy smoke our way the second day, making it very unpleasant to be outside. We didn’t feel like it was healthy to stay or do any of our kayaking or biking. I am very prone to having migraines, which started bothering me the hour the smoke came our way. So we only stayed the one night. We hope to come back to Lake Almanor again and to the same group of cabins because they and Karen were wonderful.

Stayed here for four nights with my two sons (19 and 12). The cabin was the perfect size for us to enjoy a lot of quality time. The cabin was clean, kitchen had everything we needed, beds were fairly comfortable, deck was nice to relax, and owners were very responsive. We loved being able to fish and swim from the private docks at the resort. And the location was great, near the store, restaurant and water. Even my teens talked about coming back again in the future. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Very cute cabin, clean and relaxing. Great communication with the host and appreciated the host coming by daily to check on us to see if anything was needed and everything working.

The cabin was cold most of the night. We stayed in Nov of 2023. The unit has 2 space heaters and a small propane stove. With all three on high, we were still cold and we usually don’t heat out house much. The carbon monoxide detector went off all night due to low batteries. This may not have been prevented. The big issue we had is the unit is advertised to have a hot tub. This is the time we used VRBO.We figured if we stayed at a private residence our priority would be to stay in one with a hot tub. When we asked the host we were told that didn’t have one and we’re confused it was listed on their site. It didn’t ruin our trip but for the cost, Alta s on all night, and no spa/hot tub, we didn’t see that value or what we paid.

My wife and I enjoyed a very peaceful long weekend. The place was perfect and had everything we needed. Really handy to general store and restaurants and you cant go wrong with the boat slip for easy access as well as low stress getting boat on and of trailer at the private ramp.
The cabin was perfect and we would do it again tomorrow. Thank you.

Very functional space and good location but it needs some maintenance and deep cleaning. Blinds get stuck, drawers off track, coffee maker heatpad burned, toaster worked marginally, etc. It wasn't the end of the world but for the price I was disappointed. Needs a deep cleaning (i.e. floors/grout, etc.)

We are staying in the area for my Husband's work and our place had not one opening for the 4th and Karen graciously rented her cute little cabin to us for one night.
The location, cabin and neighbors around were all excellent and Karen is easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We will be back just to enjoy a couple days out of our full-time living RV soon.

We loved visiting Lake Almanor. This is our first time but now plan on coming back every year. The boat dock that comes with the cabin is awesome. We had fun going out on the boat everyday and it was so convenient that we could dock it instead of take it out of the water every time. We usually tent camp on a lake but we really enjoyed the cabin experience, it was cozy but way bigger than a tent! We really like having the bathroom & shower, the kitchen was very convenient and we also enjoyed the bbq and patio! We loved having the coffee pot & brought lots of coffee for early mornings. The kids loved catching crawdads in the trap, you can catch a bunch by putting fish, shrimp, and/or hotdogs in the trap. We didn’t catch any fish but really tried. A lot of our cabin neighbors caught fish and they had too many so they shared with us. The fellow cabin neighbors were so friendly and we had fun getting acquainted. The owners were very helpful & kind. Checking in was so easy. We can’t wait to come back next year!

My fishing buddy Tasha and I had a blast. The cabin was perfect. Very nice and clean. I brought my boat which we launched and tied to our slip. We got to the lake early so we went fishing prior to check in. We had no luck but had a great time on the water. Once we checked in, we found the cabin very comfortable. The recliner chair is the bomb!!! We even had Netflicks on the TV. The BBQ was very clean and we eat on the patio every night. The beds were comfortable and the the camp was quiet at night. There is a nice small general store across the street with a great deli. All in all, a very nice stay and we will be back. PS, we used Brain at Big Daddy Guide service to go fishing one day and I brought in a 9 lb 28" German Brown trout. We let it go to make more huge trout.

We had a good time staying @ Lakeside Cabins!
The place was a small 2 bedroom w/ bathroom in between bedrooms & a big room w/ family room/kitchen combo. It was very clean & had just about all supplies you would need!
The lake & dock are a very short distance away and it was great just sitting on the deck checking out the boats!
The other big plus is that there is a good store & restaurant w/in walking distance!
We enjoyed our stay & would definitely come back!

Cozy 2 bedroom cabin on lakeside property.

The property as a whole overall was great. Since we went in October only 2 other cabins with people. Very nice getaway, quiet and very relaxing. Weather was great. The cabin itself was a little outdated and could be cleaner. There were some (I think) mice droppings in a few areas around in the cabin. The string cords on the blinds on the windows were broken and a little hard to use. Owners were great when we couldn't get heat turned on, they came within an hour to fix. We had a relaxing time even though accommodation were just okay

My husband and I wanted to get away for a few days when I found this cabin on VRBO and it was located on Lake Almanor. Right from the front porch you could see the lake and mountains in the back ground. We took our kayaks and our 2 dogs. The weather was perfect and the cabin was perfect with 2 bedrooms and everything we needed to be comfortable. We will most definitely be booking again.

5 STAR: check in, communication with owner, dock, boat launch, cleanliness of patio, kitchen, plenty of kitchen utensils, pots/pans, dishes, silverware, new TV, WiFi. A short walk to a general grocery store. Outdoor areas were clean and well kept.
2 STAR: Bathroom floor was covered with dirt and hair. Shower head and water temp controller were ick. Tub, toilet and sink themselves were updated and clean. Towels were above standard.
1 STAR: Cooling unit was extremely loud. It is a stand alone unit. So loud we couldn't run it at night due to the noise or watch TV comfortably.
Just disappointed because you can tell they have done a lot to the unit and then fell short in some pretty important areas. I wish them well.

Our cabin was neat and clean. Directions and contact info was clearly stated in instructions. Only suggestion for owners is to turn off propane fireplace. Not necessary in summer. Save money. Overall had a great time. Will return.

Beautiful park like cabin community. Quiet & peaceful. First time we brought our boat to this Lake (We usually come up with our RV). Having our boat right there on the dock was everything. Loved exploring all of this beautiful lake. Sunsets are amazing. We will definitely be back...

We come here every year. We love the convenient location of this place and proximity to the lake. A comfortable, well equipped cabin. And a very responsive manager. Raves to Lakeside Resort.

Family Vacation
This was our second trip to this location. We love the area in which the cabin is located. We also loved having the boat dock. Makes it so easy to go out anytime.
The weather was not the best, but we still had the very best time. The cabin was comfy and we weren’t in need of anything outside our little area with a store and little coffee/ice cream shop just up the street.
Love this location!

The Best
Our stay here couldn't be better. Felt like we were staying at a family cabin. Perfect host. Couldn't pick anything apart, even if I tried. Stayed at a few places around the lake. This is the spot. Definitely coming here again.

Cozy 90s cabin in the woods on the lake
If you're looking for the feeling of staying at Grandma and Grandpa's small cabin in the woods on a beautiful lake, this is it! The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even stopping by to say hi and extend their services. Location is amazing, just steps to the lake that reminds me of a mini Lake Tahoe. Across the street from the only "grocery" store for miles, and one of 3 or 4 good restaurants in the area. We had high hopes. Inside the cabin felt like a step back in time to my childhood in the 90s. Mismatched plates, silverware, and barware, super outdated appliances, beds that shake at the slightest movement, and even a VCR/DVD combo! Haven't seen one of those in decades. You are in the woods, so be prepared for bugs, we had to kill a few 8 legged creatures upon arrival, but that wasn't a big deal. We ended up going to the big Holiday market to look for DVDs since the satellite didn't get all the listed channels. Ended up having to fix the wiring behind the TV because the VCR/DVD combo was wired incorrectly, but that should be fixed now for the next guest. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, just seemed a bit pricy for what was provided. We use the booking apps quite a bit, and for the price you would expect newer comfortable beds, appliances from this decade that don't feel like they were purchased at the Goodwill, and maybe a small care package of local goods, like a bottle of wine or coffee (reminder that coffee is not included so bring your own). For a fair price I would give it 5 stars. But at close to double what it's worth, it seems like one week of rentals could fix all the problems and make it worth the price.
