Nice location...easy access to the lake. As soon as we arrived, neighbor confronted us about parking. The cleaning lady still there at 4pm and we were well within our space. Might recommend more comfortable living room furniture.
My grandparents owned a cottage on the lake years ago. This was the first time in 50 years that we spent time there. It was great to see little change and most residents were very friendly. I would recommend this home to friends. We left Saturday morning by 7 am and had the sheets in the dryer. Also cleaned and organised the chair/lake equipment shed for easier accessibility.

Very nice, private and rustic lake home, just 15 minutes from Tanglewood.

This was a great place for my parents to stay while visiting town. Close to everything, but peaceful and quiet. Downstairs bed and bathroom easily accessible for folks with mobility challenges. (Some people with mobility challenges might find it easier to be dropped in front of the house, rather than walking from the parking spot, even though it's close.)

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The home is not actually on the lake, which was slightly disappointing because of the pictures, but the lake is a very short walk and is absolutely stunning. The cabin was in a great location, about 15 minutes from Lennox and Pittsfield, though make sure you don't use google maps and follow the owner's directions. The owner was very responsive when we had questions.

We were doing a Farm to Fork Fondo bike ride in the area so staying in Richmond was a perfect location. The house is a lake house but had all the updates one would want for a comfortable rental. Would have loved to take the kayaks out on the pond so will have to go back another time!

This was a perfect getaway place for a long weekend! It is located close to the main road for getting around.
The dock at the lake was wonderful for some quiet time and a great view of the stars at night.
We enjoyed it very much. The house had everything we needed.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the week we spent at this location. The dwelling was nicely furnished and well maintained and the pond invites recreation. If we vacation in this area again we would gladly return. The Bartlett Orchard Farm Store is a big plus and the road along the pond beach and boat launch is a great place to walk the dog.

Quiet and peaceful, this home offered my husband and me a time to reflect while sitting on the lake’s dock, a chance to be off the beaten track while driving country roads and a time for enjoyable browsing at the local bookstore. We’ve been here before and will do it again!

This is an old and new home with convenience, charm and character. The sunroom is sunny and spacious, as is the deck, the porch is shady and cool, the dock is a two minute walk, the kitchen is convenient and well equipped,
and you feel like you're in the woods. The big downstairs bedroom with adjoining bath is perfect for anyone who doesn't wish to use the steep stairs, the pond beautiful. There is great fishing all around, a lovely, private shower separate from the house and a rowboat and other fun water items. Great place to gather or have individual privacy, this home is perfect if you want to relax!

Quaint cabin like feel. Played board games, and enjoyed rowing and swimming in the pond (which really is a lake). Wonderful and relaxing base camp to hike-did section of AT and saw some peregrine falcons on cliffs near monument trail. Wonderful place to reconnect with family and nature. Great host directions.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The lake is lovely and we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets each night. We enjoyed the kayaks provided and the dock storage had plenty of chairs and tables and an umbrella. The first time we walked out onto the dock my spouse said, "this place needs zero gravity chairs." We opened the shed and there they were. It was perfect. It was private yet we did meet many friendly neighbors on our daily walks. That made us feel very welcome. It is also very convenient to grocery stores and restaurants and all the attractions in the Berkshires.
The house has a beautiful sun room with skylights that was wonderful for relaxing. The kitchen was perfectly appointed with new appliances and the grill seems new too. We were only in the downstairs bedroom and that was very comfortable.
I believe our hostess has put a great deal of thought and effort into making this property have all the amenities that you would need on your vacation.

The pond was so pretty, and just a short walk from the house. The porch was so pleasant; windows all around with peaks of the pond in view. Great location to Lenox where we enjoyed some excellent restaurants.
We may return when the weather is warmer and we can take advantage of the boats.

We thought we had the view depicted in the listing. The house was nestled to the side. It was charming in unusual ways. The kitchen was fine. Folks prior to us did not clean the grill as we were all instructed to. Needs a few new pillows.

Non-modern cottage with all supplies needed for a great vacation.

Great spot by the lake
We spent a great week at Carol's home. House was as described and very comfortably accommodated our family of four. Living room / dining area is beautiful and light with all the sliding doors / skylights. Kitchen is well equipped. Owner was very responsive to minor questions/issues. Very easy access to dock and lake, and we enjoyed the rest of the area as well.

Perfect getaway
What a glorious location including forests and lake and a delightful cottage. My husband has Alzheimer's; we needed a place just like this: quiet, nature-driven and comfortable. The house was perfect: everything in order when we arrived including a sunny five days.

A great week!
Well equipped house., with a very complete and useful visitors guide. Convenient to Lenox and Pittsfield. While the house doesn't have a view of the lake, it's just steps away, and the lake is lovely! We saw bald eagles. A very pleasant week's vacation!

Classic cabin - lovely location
Carol’s property is a classic New England cottage. Roomy and clean - a washer and dryer a bonus. The lake is lovely - kayaked every day.

Carol's home offered everything you could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. Every little detail of what might be needed was included. The area is so beautiful and all of the neighbors so friendly. It is a short walk down to the water which has amazing views. Fishing was enjoyed by all right from the dock. It was extremely hot and we even had an opportunity to swim in the crystal clear water. The only drawback for us was we didn't get to use the rowboat because there is a rocky, somewhat steep incline down to the water and the boat is quite large. It did not appear to be an easy task so we did bypass using the boat. I would also bring water shoes as it is not sandy at all at the dock. One other thing to note is there is very limited parking. The information provided to me does state parking for two cars only which I completely overlooked despite reading it many times. I would recommend this home of Carol's which she clearly loves and hope to return myself some day.

Beautiful cabin retreat
We enjoyed a lovely few days in Carol’s cabin which was homely and had everything that my family needed. Our children had a lot of fun fishing in the lake and were very happy to be able to use the kayak and life vests that were there. Carol was also great at communicating and very accommodating.

Beautiful Berkshire stay
we had a wonderful stay at the house. One of us wished the bed was less hard, the rest of us slept fine. Very clean, well stocked and laid out. Lots of maps about the local area to help us find nooks and crannies of fun. thank you for a great stay.

Cozy spot/beautiful pond
While not on the pond, it’s a very short gravel path to a gorgeous spot! We casually kayaked the perimeter in about an hour. Nicely appointed and mid-point to a LOT of great other towns.

Getaway
Great short getaway for my husband and myself. Property was as listed and owner was very responsive both before and during the stay. Would definitely return.

Terrific cottage on a beautiful pond
Everything was great. Kitchen was extremely well-supplied. We made 3 pies and cooked a lot of dinners for 4 or 5 people most nights. Cottage does not sit directly on the lake – but the path to the dock and boats is very short and easy to manage. We loved every minute of our time in the Berkshires.

Location Perfect for Access to the Best of Western MA.
We appreciated this beautifully furnished, spacious cottage-like home. Sunrise and sunset from the dock were spectacular. Quiet neighborhood with plenty of privacy. Close to the best attractions that Western MA has to offer. The loving energy of the owner's family was palpable, contributed to our enjoyment of being there. The instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. The owner immediately responded to the one question that came up. Our stay was too short. If possible, we will be back.

Great in spite of rain
25 p out of 31 days of rain but we still had a great vacation. Theater, concerts, walking and kayaking before and after the rain. This is the best deal in town and the reason we have booked for next year and the year after.

Great location on the lake! We enjoyed swimming, grilling, laughing and just fun times. Wonderful welcoming neighbors! A truly nice way to get away and unwind!
