About this cabin rental
If you’re not convinced a log home in the Great Smoky Mountains can be luxurious, that’s because you’ve never been to Dreamscapes. This five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom retreat boasts an outdoor hot tub, an indoor jetted tub, a home theater, a pool table and two spacious decks among its amenities. Even better, there are spectacular views from just about every room.
Let’s start our tour of the 3,715-square-foot home on the first of its three floors. Here’s where you’ll find the game room, with a full-size billiard table, a sixty-game classic arcade table and a 50-inch flat-screen TV. The leather futon opens into a bed for two—if anyone in your party is a video-game fanatic, they may want to make this their bedroom!
Should the competition get too fierce, step out onto the deck and unwind in the hot tub. As if the jets of steamy water weren’t rejuvenating enough, you can gaze out at the lush woodlands and the mountains as you soak—sheer bliss! Once you finally force yourself to leave the tub, you can maintain the laid-back vibe by kicking back on one of the deck rocking chairs and listening to the mountain breeze rustle through the trees.
Also on the downstairs level is the home theater. As well as a 65-inch viewing screen a Blu-ray player and a sound bar, it offers genuine theater seating, complete with built-in cup holders. Go ahead, make it a double feature!
Two of the five bedrooms are on this floor as well. One includes a queen-size bed and bunk beds with a full-size bed on the bottom and a twin-size bed on top. If there’s a family with youngsters staying with you, this room will suit them to a T. Or the kids might want to commandeer this room for themselves—every night will be a slumber party! Like all the other bedrooms, this one includes a 32-inch flat-screen TV.
The other downstairs bedroom could be considered the primary suite. Then again, the bedrooms on the floors above could be considered primary suites too. They all have a lofty king-size bed and a private bathroom. This bedroom, however, has a jetted tub in its bathroom, perfect for indulging in some “me” time.
The floor above features another primary bedroom, just off the great room—and it’s a great room that truly deserves the name. A double-height vaulted ceiling, a wall of windows that offer a superlative view of the mountains and woodlands, plenty of supple leather seating, including a sofa bed that can sleep two, a stone-surround gas fireplace and a 50-inch flat-panel TV with Blu-ray player. It’s an irresistible space for hanging out with the gang or relaxing on your own.
Adjacent to the great room is the dining area, with a large table that comfortably seats ten, plus room for several more at the breakfast bar/kitchen island. When you’re not eating at the breakfast bar, you can sit there and keep the chef company—or even better, lend a hand!—at the open, fully equipped kitchen. Whether you’re planning to host a multi-course feast or simply brew coffee in the morning and mix margaritas at night, you’ll find all the appliances, cookware and tableware you could possibly need.
The remaining two bedrooms are on the top floor, as is a sitting room. If you need to catch up on work or emails, you’ll appreciate the desk, and of course, Dreamscapes’ free Wi-Fi. If you’re looking for a quiet place to read or have a private chat, you’ll find the two leather settees ideal.
Also ideal is Dreamscapes’ setting! Wonderfully peaceful and private, yet just a five-minute drive from Bent Creek Golf Course and also close to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the attractions of both downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
It might be corny to say that Dreamscapes is a dream getaway, but it happens to be true! So, make your dream vacation a reality, and book your stay today.

Cabin was big. Had a view of the mountains that were awesome. Had a bear visitor. Internet out that far is wayyy bad. There were a few issues but the biggest was the chipmunk that was mummified under the pullout in the living room. Parking was more limited than I had hoped. It was very quiet and I slept well.

Clean home. Kitchen had limited serving dishes, pans, storage lids and no containers. We had 11 people and for one week stay they left two dishwasher pods and hand soap the size of a small mint in each bathroom. Also advertisement said there was a gas grill and it was a charcoal, so go prepared. Ice maker broke and service provided in 48 hours. Over all a great experience even with the few frustrations.

We were well pleased with the cabin. Beautiful cabin with an awesome view. There was 9 of us and we had plenty of room. We usually have a problem with parking, but there is ample parking here. We had 4 vehicles, but you could easily put 6 or 7. I was a little worried about driving up to the cabin, but it wasn't that bad and pretty close to Gatlinburg. It has the normal squeeks for a cabin, but thats part of the charm. Would 100% rent again!

Overall I would say the cabin was really nice and clean. You could tell it has been stayed in a lot. The carpet is pretty worn and there was no organization to the kitchen cabinets and where stuff was placed in there. The views could have been better if some small trees and weeds would have been cut down by the porch. Would definitely stay there again though.

Our family had a great stay at this cabin. Nice large king bedrooms each with own bathrooms.
Very clean.

Great things- the view is wonderful and it is close enough to Gatlinburg. There is space between this cabin and others around it for privacy. There is a big table for a large group to gather but there is also enough space for people to have privacy. Parking space was adequate for 4 cars.
Ok things- there are a lot of cooking utensils but not a lot of items for cooking for a bigger group- the only large frying pan had a broken handle, there were no pot holders to pull things out of the oven. The beds were comfortable but the quilts/decorative pillows did not smell clean. Water pressure in showers was mixed throughout the house. Flooring is chipped/ripped and pieces of it were found throughout the home.
Problems- we found problems slowly, which required multiple calls to maintenance. The tub downstairs was running when we checked in and could not be turned off. The dishwasher had a piece of paper taped over it saying not to use it because of leaks. The internet passwords would not work. The movie theater was not connected at all for easy use. All required talking with staff to rectify during our stay.

The experience of renting the property was very smooth and efficient..also very simple.

We had many issues stove knobs broke and could not see labels for ones that did work the oven had a horrible chemical smell when on the basement level was freezing windows leaked with air carpet had wet spots in the bottom level I had to hand wash dishes dishwasher left dishes dirty. Beds were crooked on lower level freezer leaked water on floor no WiFi living room lite flickered like a strobe lite gates were open when we got there couldn’t get into the house we had wrong code. Couldn’t open lock box either I expected better for the price but visually it was beautiful we had our family time

Property was beautiful and location was great for all activities.
4.2
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. But there are a few things, that require some improvement: the internet is extremely slow. As there is barely any 5G in the mountains, you need to use the Wi-Fi. Also, the kitchen is not equipped for cooking for/with 12 people, only a few pans and pots. Lastly, the hot tub doesn’t work properly: only a few jet nozzles working, hot tub lighting not working. But in general a very nice cabin, the location and view are great

The location was perfect for us- a 5 min drive to downtown Gatlinburg, but nice to not be too close to the downtown traffic. We loved the mountain view (though some trees are getting tall), the hot tub, pool table, movie theatre (though sound system wasn't hooked up & seats showing wear) for kids & adults alike!
We had 9 adults, 2 teens, and two toddlers and this was an amazing size. We each had our own spaces and didn't wake each other up. The kitchen is giant and perfect for group meals and board game nights.
We had a bit of difficulty when we got in that the code didn't work. We were able to call and get into the lockbox when their other code didn't work. During our stay the upstairs AC was intermittent which was rough for July, but Jackson Mountain responded quickly to take a look and offer a portable unit in the meantime.
A few notes: internet was basically non existent. At 6am we could use our phones to look up trails and restaurants, but otherwise we had to drive into town as the wifi and our LTE was not doing it. We also had a small dog with us (which was amazing we could bring as it was so hard to find good pet friendly rentals!) but there isn't a ton of space outside the property to take them on a walk. My dog was fine with that, but maybe yours wouldn't be. My elderly grandmother also had a bit of difficulty in the cabin. We hoped to keep her on the main level since there was a bedroom and bathroom and she wouldn't have to deal with stairs, but the bed was too high for her to get up onto and the walk in shower was in the lower level. Just to keep in mind if you have anyone with accessibility concerns.
We would definitely stay here again as waking up to that view and sitting out on the porch literally made the trip. Thanks for hosting us!

The house was everything we hoped it would be! The pictures don't begin to do it justice. Very comfortable, and worth the price just for the awe inspiring views. I thank the hosts again and again for allowing us to have our dogs with us. A family gathering wouldn't have been complete without them. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that there was very limited potty areas for the pups, but given the location that could not possibly be helped. I would absolutely stay there again!

Beautiful cabin. Great location. Struggle to get in. Really needs some updating. New mattresses, cookware, carpet and bedding would make a huge difference. Great size for a group. There were 12 of us, and space was great.

Overall property was great. Couple issues that were noticed. Was jettub did not function properly, upper bathroom on the left hand side of the house (looking at it from the road) leaked water and dripped to the second floor.
4.2
The house is very dated and needs repair and a deep cleaning. The refrigerator leaked, leaving large puddles in the floor. We had to stuff paper towels under it. The kitchen is not ideal for cooking. Pots and pans are old and rusting. No cutting boards, oven mits or baking sheets and the knives are too dull to use. The water pressure in the kitchen sink is nonexistent and makes it impossible for washing dishes. The living room sofa is so squeaky and extremely uncomfortable for sitting. The bathroom sinks are a terrible design and the shower curtains are moldy and gross. The gas fireplace was nice to have but made the entire house smell of gas when you used it. Although the house was large enough for our blended family, it was not worth the amount we paid for the week. We have stayed at much nicer rentals for less.

The cabin was perfect for our family vacation in the Smokies. Although the cabin had everything we could possibly need, it had a few areas that could use some attention. The carpet was in bad shape on the stairs and the lower level. The hot tub had a musty smell, so we did not use it. These things are easy to manage, so it was somewhat surprising that at this price level, these things would not have been addressed. I would definitely recommend this cabin if they would replace the old worn (and torn)carpet. It is a beautiful home.

Would have given a 5 star but a few things could use some attention. Better stocked kitchen (no hot pads and light on utensils), and fairly widespread TV problems that could use some attention. Otherwise it fit our needs and we would definitely stay again! Liked the layout of the house, was fairly private and the view was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Great location off the crazy overcrowded strip. Very accommodating as we changed locations once to add a room and lower elevation. Horrible once there. Had a leaky roof onto a bed during a rainstorm one evening and got a call center. We’ve checked out today and still no one has called me and it’s noon the next day. VERY disappointed in how this was not handled at all last night while rain dropped on my mother in her bed.

Was disappointed how run down the property was for the amount of money. Some of the porch railings are rotted out and gave way when leaned against However the interior was beautiful and layout of the bedrooms was very nice. Was very well supplied with coffee makers ,toaster ,crockpot, cookware, pans, dishes,
and silverware. Some of the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. The furniture was exactly like the pictures showed! This cabin just needs some tender loving care! A good cleaning and some repairs and minor updates. Management was very accommodating and sent a service tech out for some of our complaints. Brought us a brand new sweeper, the other one had a broken belt. We loved the location and would stay there again trusting that repairs and updates have been made!

The house was amazing as well as the view! My only complaint was the information I received via email was not accurate in regards to the door code and password/user name for the internet. The door code I was provided was not the correct one and I had to call to get the correct code. There was paperwork at the residence which also contained wrong information as to the password for the internet. I also recieved conflicting times for check out. One email said 10:00 am, then I received a text message which said checkout was 6:00 am.

My biggest complaint on this listing is how it was falsely advertised as a refundable trip, when in fact it isn’t. Jackson Mountain needs to do a better job at keeping its listings up to date. VRBO also needs to do a better job following up on the accuracy of listings. The cabin wasn’t throughly cleaned, but quick cleaned. Found things from previous vacationers, found dog kibble in a bed room, blood stains on sheets & bedding. Unfortunately these thing weren’t noticed until later in our stay, so we couldn’t bring them up to management. The views were okay, but I’ve stayed at places in the area with better views for less. Cabin layout was very nice and able to easily accommodate everyone in our party. Was very disappointed in the amount large cooking pans & pots. There was an abundant amount of small pans, but this cabin is supposed to hold a large amount of people. We had a lot of difficulty cooking for everyone and had to go buy some new cooking equipment. This cabin was also supposed to have WIFI. The WIFI was so poor, it was non-existent. If the cost was slightly less, refund policy correctly list, cabin was properly cleaned, had adequate cooking supplies provided and quality WIFI, I’d have given this cabin 5 stars. It was a cute cabin with a lot of potential. However, with these complaints I can’t give it a higher rating. Jackson Mountain Homes did call us the day after our check in to see how thing were. I liked the phone call, however, I shouldn’t need to bring up so many little issues while during my stay. We had multiple activities planned. I expect stuff like these things to be handled outside my planned stay so I wouldn’t need to waste my vacation time to fix issues that are simply overlooked by the company. It is very unlikely I will ever rent a home from Jackson Mountain Homes in the future.

While the location and view were great, many of the advertised amenities were unusable to my family. The theater room was broken, jetted tub broken, only one working pool cue, and a broken bedroom door. I understand that this house is available to pet owners which is why we chose it but the extra “pet fee” doesn’t seem to mean that extra cleaning is involved as the house smelled of pet urine when we arrived. I know there are irresponsible pet owners but the stains and smell on the carpets should have been a red flag to cleaning crew. Too bad as the view is remarkable and the house has plenty of beds and baths for a nice family get away for my husband, myself and our adult children but we will not be returning
