FANTASTIC FAMILY HOME. FUN FOR ALL AGES.
Beautiful large upside down home surrounded by 500 acres of conservation land. 4 bedrooms downstairs with their own doors to the farmers porch for that private early morning time. Also TV area, reading nook, 2 full baths and large laundry room. Upstairs, bright open living area, dining table that seats 14, gourmet kitchen, study area and bath. There is also a screened porch and a huge deck. The doors between the deck and the living area slide into the walls doubling the open social space. Distance view of town and the harbor from deck. And on the top floor is a master suite with its own sitting area, king size bed and bathroom with soaking tube and shower. Pool, Ping pong, foosball, weights in basment.
Outside there is a wiffle ball field. And fire pit for s'mores. Close to Polpis-Sconset bike path and public bus. Less than a mile to Quidnet beach. Sunfish, kayak and bikes available.
Great for larger families or reunions.

Overall, this is a very nice property. The 5th bedroom is not really a bedroom - no closet and quite small. Otherwise, the property is very nice and the extra towels, including beach towels, is a nice feature.

What a beautiful house! Fully stocked kitchen… great for entertaining. Lovely host… very accommodating. Only drawbacks: No platform tent as in listing, very few toys… if you have children under 5…. Bring toys!!! There were tons of card games:) overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!:)

This is a beautiful home tucked away surrounded by hundreds of acres of conservation land. It is by far the best stocked VRBO we've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed and then some. The house has lots of games for kids as well as adults, e.g., ping pong, pool, board games, etc. And outdoors is a swing set, wiffle ball, fire pit, etc. Our three generation family all had a great time.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is perfect. Spacious, clean, and gorgeous views. We had the most beautiful sunsets and spent most of the time on the deck. We are so excited to go back next year!

Perfect for Family Destination Reunion
The house is well-appointed and the middle floor with its open layout between kitchen, great room and two patios is perfect for large family gatherings. The large kitchen table was big enough for 13 of us to eat together. We made all our dinners at the house and found everything we needed for cooking and serving in the well-stocked kitchen. We loved playing ping-pong and pool in the basement in the evenings. The house is in a lovely, quiet area of Nantucket, but a car is a must. Penny, the host, was very responsive to the many questions we asked about activities, restaurants, and packing. We cherished our time on Nantucket!

Perfect for a group of 8!
We loved staying at Papanannas. We were there for a lower key bachelorette and were seeking some place that had ample space for 8 30+ year old ladies, where everyone had their own bed and this was perfect. the neighborhood is quiet, and everyone around town was familiar with the family which was awesome. We were able to grill and have dinners at the house, and even do yoga outside on the deck with 8 people comfortably. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would love to stay again!

Beautiful Island Getaway
Absolutely beautiful island home is better than the pictures.
Open floor plan on the second level is perfect for everyone to gather and the large sliders opening to the deck provide the perfect back drop of evening sunsets.
Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Secluded location but minutes to down town. Kitchen is well appointed with everything needed. Can't say enough, its a great place.

Beautiful
The home is beautiful and in the most gorgeous setting with spectacular views. We were six adults and a toddler and we were all very comfortable. The house has space enough for everyone to be together or to have some quiet time to yourself! I would highly recommend this property to anyone, you will not be disappointed!!! Spacious Quidnet hideaway
Thanks to the Herlihys! Comfortable home, lots of beds, cheerful decor, spacious kitchen and decks, in a quiet, private nook of Nantucket. Basement hosted epic pool and ping pong battles, and the teenage boys were thrilled w/the weights. Highly recommend!

Great house for 3 families with babies and toddlers! Kitchen is an excellent size for cooking large dinners for a big group! Beautiful and unique house! We loved the swing set and fire pit as well! Thank you!

amazing friend reunion!
Four families shared both houses. It was an incredible property with impeccable taste, outrageous sunset views, and a kitchen with all the amenities for gourmet cooking (we grilled lots and had a 5 star lobster dinner! We had plenty of room for everyone and Wifi was fantastic for those that needed to get some work done. The kids made so many memories with the fire pit, volleyball court, wiffle ball field and bike path. Quidnet Beach and the pond are just down the road which was perfect for our littles and for sailing and kayaking. A perfect, special spot!

Wonderful house.
The house was perfect for our little getaway with 2 families. Could have easily accommodated more. Beautiful home with a perfect set-up. Large open great room/kitchen/dining area on the 2nd floor where the adults could hang out after the kids go to bed. Bathrooms were clean and plenty of supplies available. We had the chance to meet Mike, wonderful hosts. The house is about a 15 minute drive from town, but we preferred to be away from the crowds. Many hours spent on the deck taking in the serenity of the island. Hoping to rent the house again next year.

We loved this house for a 2 family vacation! It was spacious and well equipped for our group! A note that it does not have air conditioning and we had a lot of air traffic due to the time of year of our stay but otherwise it was completely perfect!

Terrific for a family vacation
We (10 of us in this house) enjoyed it very much as a base, refuge, and thoroughly enjoyable center for relaxation and fun. The design of the house - with so many wonderful porches (and views), the big kitchen and fantastic central dining table, the cozy living room, the bathrooms and outdoor shower - hard to choose the highlights. Having soaps and paper goods, beach towels, chairs and bikes, whiffle ball equipment, games and a big grill - gave us the precious free time to start playing right away and enjoy every minute.

I was on Nantucket for a family memorial and gathering for 5 days. We felt very comfortable and right at home in this lovely VRBO rental!! Everything was just perfect! The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of bathrooms for privacy. The kitchen was fully stocked with glasses, dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. We had everything we needed, even a pool table in th basement. The view was stunning!!! We only wish the rain and fog were gone for our stay but we we’re still able to enjoy the view. The house was very cozy in the rain. The owners were great to work with and the house was spotless when we arrived. I definitely recommend this home for a family gathering and I can’t wait to go back and rent again!

Penny was great to deal with, very easy and accommodating. The house was in perfect condition and exactly as described. Enormous living room which is great to all get together in for dinner. Easy to get into town and to the beach, would definitely return!

Perfect ladies weekend away
We booked this house for a bachelorette weekend away with 12 ladies. The house was perfect; plenty of room for all of us to eat, drink and sleep. Close enough to the beach that we could walk or ride bikes. There were a few maintenance issues during our stay, but the groundskeeper and Penny were both very responsive. Great views from the master bedroom as well!

Outstanding house for all types of vacations
Penny made planning my trip a breeze. She was very receptive to my questions and individual needs.
The house was immaculate- extremely clean and fully stocked, just bring your clothes and food and everything else is there for you.
The house easily slept 12 adults but could also accommodate children as well if you're a family. The views from the deck are unbelievable.
The house is about a 10 minute ride from downtown, which at first I thought would be a problem. However, Uber and cabs are everywhere and you can't beat the great area the house is in.
We took a 10 minute bike ride down to the beach and a 10 minute Uber ride to literally everything else- wouldn't change a thing.
The house came fully equipped with a fire pit, swing set, yard games, indoor games for bad weather, grill and just a great outdoor space for whatever you want to do.
Would absolutely, 100% stay here again.

Charming Nantucket Home
This Nantucket home is charming inside and out. The large 3 acre lot, adjacent to conservation land offers a beautiful private setting with large lawn areas for games and a fire pit for s'mores. The interior has a fresh coastal feel with lots of gathering spaces for a group. Our favorite was watching the sunset off the great room deck. The french doors open the whole wall to the view.
You are close to everything you would want to do. Great bike paths, Quident swimming pond and a fabulous beach that goes on forever.
The owners did everything possible to make our stay memorable. Pappa Nana's is our favorite place to stay on the island.

Gorgeous, warm and inviting!
We came to Nantucket for my cousin's wedding. We had family coming from all over - California, Massachusetts and Florida. We had the best time whether it was exploring the island, enjoying wedding festivities or just hanging at "home". We cooked often, listened to music, played games (all were there at the house) and enjoyed the beauty surrounding us every day - morning and evening! The house itself is spacious, modern (listened to our music on our phones via bluetooth on the surround sound), warm and inviting. Great for entertaining too. We had the future in-laws over for drinks and apps. one night. You will love the atmosphere and the feeling you get the minute you walk in!
The property listing itself was accurate. The property is well taken care of and clean. We had a caretaker available for any questions during our stay and even a housecleaner (for an extra fee) if needed. The owner was good at responding to my questions, during the booking process. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
Even though we ate in often, we did eat out as well. Here are some of the places:
-Slip 14 Restaurant and Bar - excellent. Rehearsal dinner
-Fifty Six Union - excellent. We had brunch.
-Island Coffee Roaster - great coffee, breakfast sandwich for a quick breakfast.
-Easy Street Cantina - just ok. I wouldn't go again with so many other great options. Sorry Easy Street!
-Sankaty Beach Club - parked there and walked right down to the beach. Great beach. We also played tennis. We were guests of members, but there was nobody there - off season.
Sankaty Golf Club - beautiful. Wedding was held there, husband played golf too.
Whaling Museum - great museum
Drove to Great Point Lighthouse - wonderful! We drove onto the beach too. That's an extra fee and vehicles need to have a beach permit, which we got when we rented our jeep.
If you stay here you will not regret it!
