Beautiful property with clean and spacious cabins, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchens. Great for family gatherings and nature getaways.

The cabin was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed and more. Only negative was the downstairs had a spider infestation. I know when you are in the country it normal. It was more than just your usual spiced here or there. We even came home with some in our bags. I would stay again. Just recommend doing something downstairs with the spiders.

Everyone had an amazing time. The place is huge and packed with Idaho aesthetic. Every bedroom is nice and it feels like there are somehow more bathrooms than nessassary...in a 12 person cabin. The kitchen is big and the appliances are great. Full tank of propane under the grill. Could not ask for a better experience. Would book again.

Beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay over the Labor Day weekend.

Entrance door sticks and is very hard to open… loose rocks on steps down to house .. VERY DANGEROUS…. Barbecue grill was unusable, decks are slanted a bit and wood feels unstable in places, house was not cleaned well and we had no body was or bar soap in any of the bath rooms. Dirty dishes in the cupboards,!! coffee maker had not been emptied or cleaned!!!! House was not very clean either and we only had a total of 2 garbages bags for our trash.!!!!!

Unsafe, Dirty, Unorganized, Unusable
So dirty and unsafe!!! Bat droppings made the upstairs balcony unusable. My nephew put his foot through a broken board on the main deck and we covered other weak boards with our coolers so no one else would get hurt. I turned down my bed and found black dog hair all over my sheets. Washing machine was available but the liquid detergent insert was missing… and liquid detergent was what was there and what we’d packed too. Floors were disgusting and there was no broom on the property. There were no kitchen washcloths or towels. In fact, we had a note that towels were left in the dryer because they ran out of time. When we finally needed them and opened the dryer, we found wet musty towels that required rewashing. Silverware in drawer had food on them. Showers were slimy. Shower door was sharp and left a large cut on our friend’s heal and ankle. No air conditioning requires opening windows but some of them had no screens - that was especially disappointing for the bedroom behind the kitchen that needed more air. Several wasp nests outside were a hazard. Every drawer and cupboard was packed full of unorganized junk so there was nowhere for our own things. Most of the kitchen utensils are melted or bent making you question safety and cleanliness every time you prep a meal. And speaking of meal prep, the bear skin that hangs above the kitchen (unachored or supported) actually fell from the second story onto my sister in law’s head when she simply opened the refrigerator. It was heavy and scary and completely avoidable. Perhaps most shocking, an UNLOCKED pantry was stocked with prescription medications, lighters and ALCOHOL. We had quite a scare and a potential ER visit when my 10 month old nephew pierced a gelcap medication in his mouth - something he found on the floor that didn’t belong to us. This is completely unacceptable!! We’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this definitely doesn’t meet the standards we’ve appreciated and expected. We believe this listing should be removed until serious renovations are taken care of. It is fine if the owner wants to live in clutter and filth, but this home is not guest-ready in any way. We were severely disappointed!!

Great place
All was well except there were bats living outside of the loft deck.

Crouch Cabin
Overall, property was good and great location. Would definitely want to stay again.
Great fire pit; a lot of parking; great deck; and awesome view.
A few issues: leftover bacon still in oven; a lot of mouse droppings on top deck; main door handle broken and very hard to use; BBQ grill neglected/ needs some TLC; and hot tub not in service.

Neat Cabin
The cabin was really neat. There were plenty of windows to bring in light so it didn't feel so dark. Everyone especially liked the bears and elk that were mounted. The couches were comfy and there was plenty of seating for everyone. We played games, took walks, and even watched a kayaking competition. The fire pit had tall grass around it so we were not able to use it. There were plenty of bath/kitchen towels, but bring extra t.p. and paper towels. To quote my niece the cabin was "fairly clean". We did reach out to the owner about a few things, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying ourselves. We had a lot of family fun and we're able to see deer, squirrels, and even bats.

Plumbing problems
Lovely property; but plumbing problems. Sewer smells in basement; bathroom unusable due to being retiled. We were not notified of this. Dishwasher difficult to use due to broken top rack. Kitchen sink backed up.

GV getaway
We were glad the host was responsive as one vehicle got stuck in the snow and the door code didn’t work. Once inside after hauling up some firewood, we were able to get warm and enjoy our time. Lots of room, great for multiple families, great comfy beds! The kitchen is well stocked! Everything was clean. We were bummed that an entire bathroom was out of commission as well as the hot tub in the picture. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves!

Christmas
The house was lovely plenty of space comfy beds and sofas. I was disappointed that the walk in shower was not working and wasn’t told till we arrived, and all the trash containers were full from last visitors so we took to town to empty one so we had room for trash. Overall it was a great place for us and we had a good time.

Beautiful home and great location.
This property was perfect for our mom weekend. It is a large and spacious, with plenty of room to stretch out. The property and view are beautiful. Actual deer were just out and about outside the patio. We had a few little glitches with the house and with check-in, but all in all, I would bring my whole family back here again to enjoy the property. We left wanting to buy a cabin, but it’s not in the budget so we’ll be back haha!

Incredible family getaway
What a magical place. The pictures don't do it justice, it is so much more beautiful. The "cabin," more like a log mini-mansion, is luxurious, spacious, well-supplied, and has the coolest wilderness vibe. We had 3 generations of family, ages 10 to 50s, and everyone had a fabulous time hiking, fishing, playing games, and gathering around the fire. (And taking showers, lol.) We even had an art session on the deck. Everyone is still raving about it. I can't say enough about how perfect and memorable it was.

Great place for family gatherings
Our stay was wonderful, the house had everything we needed. Wish it was still campfire
season as we would have loved to use the campfire in the evening! The jacuzzi would have been a wonderful thing to have been able to use.
Spent most of our time along the River and wire ourselves out! Would definitely do this again. Thank you

Wonderful Family Cabin
Loren's cabin was the perfect place for our family gathering. It was homey and peaceful.. The open floor plan had plenty of comfy seating, and allowed for space to be together, without feeling crowded. The kitchen was well appointed, and had everything we needed. The downstairs basement area stayed very cool, even in the heat of the day. We made some wonderful memories, and I would definitely recommend this property!

Great Space
This cabin is great and would be excellent for multiple families. There is a basement, a loft and main floor. The kitchen is great to gather around for meal times. Plus a dining room with a table to play some cards.

Nice! Great location!
We enjoyed the stay. It was a nice quick drive from Boise. There is one thing that I should mention, compared to most other rentals we have stayed in, this home did not provide any bathroom amenities. Make sure you pack everything you need when it comes to the bathroom. (shampoo, body wash, hair dryer) Also I know that the amenities doesn't mention a hot tub but the pictures have a hot tub in it. The hot tub is non-working. It might be helpful to put that in the listing so renters aren't hopeful.

Lots of space!
Loren's home had plenty of space for our group of nine. It felt very private and had a nice view from the large porch. Although it was very hot in the area when we were there, the cabin always stayed nice and cool. The furnishings were attractive and fit well with the log cabin. We felt like it could have been a bit cleaner. The area allowed us to access a several different hiking and mountain biking areas, but we ended up driving quite a bit for most of these activities. We did find a PERFECT spot to enjoy the river only about 15 minutes away.

Birthday Trip
If you like stairs, you'll like this cabin. It has plenty of room, on all three floors. Very nice and comfortable beds. Down stairs shower if wonderful. The water is well water and has a funky smell, I would recommend bring your own drinking water. It says it has TV's which it does, but there only good for watching DVD's. It buffers A LOT when you they to watch anything else. There where no written instruction for the TV. (Which would be helpful) Alarm kept beeping and had to be reset. There is no view of any kind,(other then trees) but he large porch is very nice. Says it had a hot tub, it did work and the firepit was full of bark. When I say full, I mean 3 to 4 feet high. If we had lite it, we would have burned down the forest. All in all we did have a good time, but for the high price and you HAD to buy insurance or submit a deposit, we could have stayed in a 4 star B&B.

Very nice!
Overall it was a great place to stay! If I had one small complaint, the water had a very metallic smell to it, but otherwise, it was a great place to stay! It was very close to town, but you still felt secluded. I would definitely stay here again!

40th Birthday
We booked this last minute due to having to cancel my 40th bday trip to Hawaii. Weather wasn't the best but the location and property itself was great. Loved the close location to the golf course. Just minutes away from everything but still secluded for privacy. Would book again.

We enjoyed our stay and hope that we will be back soon! The property was better than expected, we’ll kept and clean. There was plenty of room and in a quiet area which was something we were looking for. Couldn’t ask for more...

Family Thanksgiving
We celebrated thanksgiving at this lovely cabin and it was wonderful! There was a total of 12 of us including 3 small children. The cabin had everything we needed- plenty of dishes, towels, and bed linens. The decor added to the charm and we enjoyed keeping warm with the firewood stove.
It snowed during our stay which made the kids very happy. They had a blast playing and sledding in the snow. We have a 4 wheel drive ford truck and had no issues getting up and down the mountain. The cabin was easy to find using the gps on our phones.
There is a cute little town with a market town about 10 minutes away. I wish I had more time to check out the shops.
Would definitely stay here again!

Great Location Close to Crouch
This spacious cabin is nestled in a beautiful location close to Crouch. An excellent cabin for larger groups. The master shower in the basement was a pleasant surprise...pretty much a human car wash!
The only thing that would make this place better would be a functional hot tub.
Don’t hesitate to book this cabin!

Beautiful mountain retreat
Beautiful mountain retreat perfect for a large group. Private drive to the home is a bit tricky to find. A sign with the house number & an arrow at the turn would be helpful. Everyone greatly enjoyed their stay. 🤠

Get get away! We loved it.
Very true to the other reviews. Quiet, beautiful location. Close to town and river. Very much a cabin feeling inside and out. Our kids and their families loved it. We certainly would go back.

An awesome mountain Cabin
This is a large, clean, well equipped mountain cabin. It is huge! The woodwork is beautiful, and the beds are comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed...beautiful views from the two porches and the balcony. We hope to come back. PS - you have to try the shower in the lower level - we called it the "power wash." It was great!

Lots of room, easy drive to town
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. Booking was easy and communication with our host was good. The home was much larger than we thought and we enjoyed the space. The home has a rustic decor and fits well within its surroundings. The basement has two bedrooms and a really large shower/bathroom, but we found it to be really cold down there and we couldn't get the gas pilot light to stay lit on the gas heater so those who didn't mind cold floors and cold air were assigned to those bedrooms. Beds were all really comfortable throughout the cabin. Plenty of hot water for our group of 7 to shower and get ready in the morning. Cleanliness of the cabin was OK... meaning it wasn't really dirty but it just didn't feel really clean. For example, lots of bugs and spider webs between the windows and blinds... and mold in some of the showers. Again, it's not bad, maybe even somewhat expected for a cabin in the woods, but parts of the cabin are starting to feel their age and it's just hard to keep those areas feeling like they're super clean. We were able to buzz to the towns of Crouch, Garden Valley and Banks really quickly - ziplinging and whitewater rafting with Cascade Raft Company was excellent. It was also especially nice to be so close to Starlight Mountain Theater where we enjoyed a play called Newsies. Overall good experience and we'd rebook this cabin again unless we wanted to spend a little more to book someplace right on the river or right in town.

Beautiful cabin and scenery
Beautiful cabin. Very clean!! My family and I enjoyed our stay! We brought many of our own dishes and utensils, but were very surprised that they had everything we needed. Owner Loren was very, very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be renting this place again. Thank you Loren!
