About this house rental
Character-filled, 2 bed Victorian end-terrace cottage with private garden. Instead of being in a flat with people above or below you, why not rent an entire house? Located on a quiet street in a conservation area, just down the road from Camden Market, there are great transport links nearby and is especially convenient for Eurostar. It has kingsize and double beds to easily accommodate 4 people. There is also a comfy double sofa bed that can sleep an additional 2 people. The private back garden has an outdoor sofa and BBQ. It's a perfect place to enjoy morning coffee/tea, evening drinks and/or cook up a gourmet meal after visiting one of the local farmer's markets.
The house is on a quiet tree lined street in a conservation area in the heart of Camden. Camden market literally at the other end of my short road, a 2-3 minute walk away. Primrose hill, London Zoo and Hampstead Heath are all a 5-10 walk away. The rest of London is easily accessible from here as well.
It's got great transports links all times of day, even late at night -- which is quite rare in London. Camden Tube, Chalk Farm Tube and Kentish town west overground stations are within 1-9 min walk. Local buses 24 and 168 can also be used to get in Soho/west end and waterloo/southbank quickly and easy. The 31 bus takes you straight to Notting hill. The 46 bus, which is 1min away, stops directly outside St Pancs for easy Eurostar travel. Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted are very convenient from this central location. (Let me know before your arrival and I will let you know the quickest/easiest/cheapest way to travel to/from your destination.) Parking is severely restricted around the house, as we are so close to the Market. That said, parking is free around the corner from 6.30pm Friday to 8.30am Monday should you bring a car with you.
I'm happy to have as much or as little interaction as you'd like.
This is my primary residence which I live in when it's not rented out. As this is my house, there are some personal belongings around, which makes the house feel like a home and not a soulless rental property. (I leave most of the closets and shelves totally empty of personal belongings for guest use). The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with all necessary pans, plates, etc. (I have an herb garden out back that you are welcome to help yourself to.)
Guests have access to the entire house: 2 double Bedrooms, kitchen/dining room, living room, and bathroom. There's also a sofa bed that sleeps 2. A travel cot can be provided if required. Please let me know before your stay. In addition to typical holiday rentals, I've also had many 5 star rated longer-term stays, hosting a range of people in scenarios such as: professors on semesters abroad at UCL, London business school (and the like), professionals on sabbatical, retirees on extended stays in London, local Londoners with pets who are having work done to their own properties. Please get in touch if you're looking for a stay 90+ days.
Note: I used to have cats, but don't have them anymore. The house has been cat free since 2019. I often host people with dogs as the walled garden and park across the road make it very convenient for furry friends.

We had a fantastic stay at Alison’s home! The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk to Camden Market and a 10 minute walk to the Chalk Farm tube station. There are coffee shops, pubs and stores within walking distance too which was amazing. The amenities were great too-we were on a pretty long stay so it was great to be able to cook our own meals sometimes and have laundry available . We will definitely look to stay here again if/when we return.

Perfectly situated by all transportation lines (bus, tube, train) this whole house flat was a welcome respite at the end of our busy day exploring London. Packed with convenience amenities like phone chargers in many rooms and good WiFi, we were able to work, play and relax during our week in London. What a beautiful home that was so well located!

We felt very comfortable in a homely house of character with a very nice homeowner

House is in a great location. Close enough to Camden Market to walk there in about 5 min but far enough away that it’s quiet. The Tube is about a 10 min walk and it’s under 15 min ride to the inner city. It was great having a two story townhouse with a full kitchen and laundry. The house is older but decorating is cute and comfortable.

Perfectly located away from the hustle and bustle of Camden yet so accessible to all that London has to offer from the hive of activity that is the West End to the the bucolic sleepiness of Hempstead and Highgate. Ali is a great communicator - ensuring that any needs we had were taken care of. Her quaint house is perfect for a family of four and well appointed with all that we needed. Thank you Ali!

Had such a great time in this home in London! The location was so great, near the Camden Market and several bus lines. Plenty of room for us and everything we could need! Thank you!

Great location, very cozy
This was a clean, inviting and cozy property. The location is close to 3 tube stations and is within walking distance of the bustling Camden Market. We would definitely stay again.

Great house and service
We stayed three nights in this house in a quiet street, but very close to the busy Camden Market area. The house had a nice garden, two cosy bed rooms, a living room with open kitchen and a bath room (good shower). The owner was very friendly and welcomed us when we arrived and also arranged the parking payments for our car. Would definitely recommend this place for a family.

A wonderful stay in London
My family and I stayed in Alison's lovely Camden home for a terrific week in London. Allison was very responsive and helpful throughout, beginning with our booking all the way until we were headed home. She was there to meet us when we arrived and familiarized us with all of her house's ammenities. As a family, this property had everything we needed to ensure thatour stay went smoothly and that we were very comfortable throughout.
We will definitely return to stay at Allison's house and heartily recommend to others.

Lovely house in a great location.
The house is perfectly located for Camden Market and within easy walking distance of numerous shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the underground.
The house itself is beautifully done, very comfortable and also has a lovely garden. I would highly recommend staying here.

Definitely recommend. Chose this house because ideal location for Roundhouse. Also perfect spot for exploring Camden, etc. Good pubs and restaurants close by. Beds were really comfy and house had a lovely feel to it. Only downside was that the cats weren't around during or stay!

We had a great stay at Ali’s. the location was so close to the tube and getting around was easy. The home was comfy and we were able to relax there after long days of sightseeing. The cats warmed up to us after a couple of days. They were sweet and no trouble at all. This house has everything we needed, including the quiet and private terrace.

Wonderful home, Great location, and Excellent owner experience.
This was our family's first trip to London and also our first time using HomeAway. Ali was really great to work with and helped us with a number of first timer questions before our trip and also while we were in London. The house was perfect and offered all of the things you'd want or need to make us feel comfortable away from home. The cats were very friendly and also made us feel right at home. Initially (prior to booking and because we had never been to London before) I was concerned with the location being slightly outside of central London, but my concerns were wrong. Camden Town and the Market are fun to walk though and is different experience from the normal sightseeing. Coming from the US, the London Underground is amazing. You can effortlessly get anywhere in the city by hoping on the subway or bus. It's fast (less than 2 min waits), so convenient, and not expensive. This makes this location ideal and a breeze to get downtown. I would not hesitate to recommend this comfortable and charming home and also the owner that was so helpful. Ali, thank you for sharing your home with us. If/when we get to London again we hope that we can do something like that again as it was a very good experience.

We loved this home, particularly its proximity to the overground (try the brewery on your way out!), underground, grocery stores, and Camden Market. Just a short walk to Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill, and Regent's Park/Queen Mary's Rose Gardens. Also loved the charming garden, and having much more space than many London accommodations in this price range. The kitties were an interesting touch, and the home was well-appointed for cooking and every-day living. Ali was helpful and communicative.

Beautiful terrace house in a central location
The house was perfect. It was fully stocked and very comfortable. The house has huge windows, so it is very light and airy feeling. Close the shitters at night and it is perfect for sleeping. The patio was an added bonus which we enjoyed every morning while having coffee. The resident kitties appreciated that. The cats are adorable and no trouble at all. Allie is a great host and dis her best to make our stay perfect.
The accessibility to Camden Market (so cool), Primrose Hill, and mass transit made this our favorite London apartment.
Thanks for sharing your home!

Perfect home from home
Ali was great to communicate with and right from the offset I felt comfortable with the booking.
The house is lovely; very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. The cats are gorgeous and no trouble at all.
The house is located in a quiet street two minutes from Camden High Street. We had events planned for central London but it was a real bonus to have Camden market and especially The Stables on our doorstep for a meander.
The house itself is well equipped, the beds (even the settee bed) are very comfortable and the garden is great for relaxing in; lucky for us the weather was warm and sunny.
All in all the location and the house were perfect for us. We had a fantastic time; we ran out of time in the end and left without sorting out the bedding and bins which I am deeply embarrassed about; if Ali would have me again I would love to return.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this lovely place to stay in if you’re in London; so much more relaxing than a hotel room.
Thanks for a wonderful and memorable stay.

A perfect place to stay in London
Our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a pre-teen) found this Kentish Town property the perfect place to stay for our week-long visit to London. It's an easy walk to either the Camden Town or Chalk Farm tube stop, and from there, all of London is at your doorstep.
The kitchen is well appointed, and the small backyard is an excellent place to hang out.
This is an excellent place for a family to stay while visiting London, and we would highly recommend it.

Wonderful rental.
We always try to stay at private homes when we visit a new city because we want to get a sense of what it feels like to actually live there. This property did just that. We thoroughly enjoyed this home. My daughter enjoyed taking care of the cats and it was well-equipped with everything we needed. The enclosed garden was lovely and the location perfect! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!

Great Location
This property worked really well for us. We shared with Minnie & Trixie, the two resident cats. Managed the feeds and the kitty-litter OK.
Train, bus and Camden Town all right there.
Found the garbage bin situation in the kitchen and at the front door not ideal, but enjoyed our stay
