About this house rental

This beach home is beachside and located in the first block of Pirates Beach – JUST STEPS from where you can get sand between your toes and listen to the SURF! The living room looks like its straight out of a Coastal Living or Veranda Magazine & is furnished with comfort in mind. The sectional sofa and chair combinations enable seating for many people in the living room. The Dining area boasts built-in banquettes, comfortable seating and two tables that easily accommodate many people sitting down & sharing meals, memories & laughs together commemorating a wonderful day spent at the beach. The kitchen has brand new stainless steel appliances and even includes a stand-up mixer for the chef in the group. There is a beverage bar between the Living and Dining areas for coffee or wine to be shared while visiting with the cook in the kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs; one King bedroom with a large flat screen TV; one with 2 twins & 1 trundle that includes a 40” TV and ample seating so that it can be used as a 2nd TV room. The bedrooms upstairs: King Bed with an east view of the beach and a sitting area to watch the 50” TV. The second upstairs bedroom includes a Queen bed and 1 twin. It has a western view of the beach plus a 32” TV. All bedrooms are appointed with beautiful modern decor and include lovely bedding and comfortable beds for great rest. There is a large sofa style outdoor patio set on the east deck for enjoying the sound and view of the surf. The west deck has a different view that can equally be enjoyed while seated in the charming patio furniture with your feet propped up on the outdoor ottoman gazing at the surf during the day or stars at night.
The layout and location of this home make it the perfect choice for multiple generations, two families, large families, couples vacationing together or a girls getaway!

Other amenities include a full size washer and dryer, Ipad docking/speaker station, wireless internet access, ATT cable TV, a BBQ grill, outdoor hot/cold shower.
If you are looking for more activities, Galveston Country Club is around the corner.

Rental Policy: Rental is intended for the quiet enjoyment of our guests. Therefore, we will rent only to families or family groups. If you are not with a family group, you must be a responsible adult over the age of 30 to make a reservation. Adults cannot rent properties on behalf of underage guests. The maximum number of guests is 10. Pets of any kind and smoking are not permitted. Violation of the smoking and pet policy will result in forfeiture of your damage deposit. Guests must comply with these Rental Policies and all subdivision restrictions.

We require that the renter purchase the Damage Protection Policy offered by VRBO at a nominal fee.

All rates are quoted on website as per week basis. If you are interested in staying 2, 3 or 4 nights, the price will not be pro-rata but is adjusted accordingly. Please obtain a quote from the owner for any dates that do not meet the 1 week requirement.

It might be helpful to list what you do not supply for the vrbo…..such as toilet paper, paper towels etc. new cooking or baking pans would be nice for easier use and clean up. Thank you for letting us check out later! We will rent this place in the future.

We loved the location of this home -- two beautiful decks with ocean views. The owner has provided so many high quality amenities in this home -- it was like being in your own home -- the linens/bedding, towels and pillows were such nice quality and the beds were all amazingly comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Kristen is very responsive and easy to work with. My only very minor complaint is that we had very little space to store things - especially in the kitchen. There are a lot of decorations so finding a place to sit anything down was a challenge. If she could thin out some of the decor and provide an unlocked pantry for food, that would make all the difference. It would be hard to manage staying here for a full week with all of the food without having a pantry to store things in. We just felt really cluttered and cramped in the kitchen. But, again, all of the rooms were spacious and overall this was a VERY comfortable and homey place to stay. I plan on returning with my family very soon!!!

We loved our stay. The beach was amazing as it was just steps away. The home was just as promised. It was comfortable and convenient. We were happy not to have to fight the crowds for a spot on the beach, yet have the convenience that things were within minutes drive. Everyone commented on the fact that they had the best night's sleep that they had had in a very long time. stress seemed to melt away there. The house is beautiful many, many decorations. Our Hostess is amazing! She was in constant contact, letting us know everything we needed to know about the property.

The beach house was as we expected! It was clean, nicely decorated, and plenty of room for 4 females ( we each got to have our own bedroom and bath). Although the weather was not conducive to beach time we still enjoyed ourselves in the house. We will definitely be back!!

Our family spent the recent Easter Weekend here and it was even better than expected. Owner was extremely responsive and very detailed. The property is very inviting and makes for a great getaway. The owner was incredibly nice and responsive and accommodating, especially considering our short notice. The house was perfect--clean, nice views of the water from each deck, a great kitchen, comfortable beds, well-stocked--basically everything you could ask for. After seeing some other beach rentals in the same price range, this house is, by far, the best in Pirates Beach. We will stay here again.

We enjoyed our spring break trip at Linger Longer. House was very clean and homey. We had one hiccup due to being one of the first renters in the house after the February freeze, but Kristen does a great job of communicating, and got someone over there right away to fix it. Great location in Pirates Beach! We’ll be back

Perfect location and great floor plan

We chose this property to spend time with our four children and the grandparents and the floor plan with 4 bed rooms and 4 full baths was perfect for us. The beach was less than a block away so we cooked our dinners in the slow cooker and were able to come and go to the beach as we liked. The house is so thoughtfully set up and decorated and Kristen was very quick to respond to any questions I had. We would love to stay here again soon!

We found this home to be extremely well-suited for our extended family of four adults and three teenagers. The home is beautifully decorated with plenty of seating. Best of all, the owner is extremely gracious and so hospitable. My mother thought she left something there, and Kristen left no stone unturned in helping us retrieve it. We appreciate her extra efforts very much!

A very nice property, which accommodates 2 families of 4 very well, having 4 separate bathrooms! It is decorated to a high standard, which is unusual for a holiday rental and the kitchen had everything that you could need. The house is located about 4 or 5 properties back from a very clean Pirates Beach, in a nice quiet area. Ideal for a get away that is like a home from home. A lovely, relaxing few days!

Just returned from a great vacation at this beautiful beach house!! Everything was just as described online!! Plenty of room for 8 adults! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook great meals every night. The one thing I would change if the place was mine, is more storage for groceries in the kitchen. We had to get creative trying to find places to put everything. But other than that, everything was great! Nice furnishings and plenty of sitting room for all of us. Very close to the beach and great views from the decks. Overall a great time for our family vacation. Thanks for sharing your beach home with us. We will be back!!

Loved this house! We had two families and a grandma and the house was perfect with plenty of room for all. Great kitchen and loved the views. Easy short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was so nice as well with very friendly neighbors. Thank you for a great weekend.

We liked the property very much. Location to the beach was great. the home was very well laid out. Bedrooms and bathrooms very nice and accommodating, as were the beds and pillows, etc. For me and my family, the kitchen lacked a lot to be desired. There is no cabinet space for groceries. There were not enough plates and glasses, there were only wine glasses--no juice glasses, no small plates, no bowls for serving. The things that my family needs were not there. We cook all the time every meal, because we have little children, and it is more enjoyable to be at the house after a long day in the sun. But other than that, everything else was very nice. I would have liked there to be a table outside to sit and eat at early morning or for appetizers in the evening.
