For us, it was the perfect location. Great place for getting out on the town at night and also a great hub for the outdoors. A short drive in the am to get to the trailheads of some 14ers, mtn bike trails galore less than a half mile away, and just as easy to take the road bikes out Poncha and the open roads.
The property also had plenty of space (though maybe missing a big dresser or two), a great music listening set up, and an excellent patio for relaxing. Plenty of work space as well if you need to get some hours in. I was wondering about parking when we arrived, but zero issues.
Loved it, and hope to go back in the near future.

Salida is a hidden gem and this property is both centrally located and private. We had a wonderful time in town and on the river and the unit offered great peace.

Jackie's place is a first floor "loft" that has a ton going for it like reserved parking, an ideal downtown Salida location, a bunch of space to have people over for dinner or relax after trekking, and a rooftop patio to grill dinner.
We enjoyed our time in her unique space.

We love the location of this property. So easy to get around town and explore. The host was easy to contact and was willing to give us ideas for things to do.

Awesome place to stay. Has a killer vibe inside and the location is perfect. Shops and food all within walking distance and won’t disappoint. Will definitely stay here again.

I highly recomend this place! Excellent location; all within walking distance of old downtown and the Arkansas River! Very eclectic! Will definitely plan another visit!! Deserves more than 5 stars!!

Extremely stylish ground floor huge single room with rolling doors. We'll appointed, but no AC and the 2 windows that open are to the alley -which worried one of our crew and taxed this perimenopausal bod. It does have a gaggle of quiet fans. Wonder if the skylights could open somehow...

My family stayed at the location over 4th of July. We're very familiar with Salida and have stayed at various locations in the past. This was absolutely our favorite so far and easily the most convenient to town.
Nice and super easy parking in the alley. The set up was very spacious, cozy, and cool enough to dodge the heat. Got a tiny bit hot at night but there are fans to use. Roof top deck was also nice although we didn't spend much time. We'd consider staying here again.
Also the cleanliness and readiness did not go unnoticed. One of the best cleaning jobs we've noticed.
Also, The Host was very responsive and provided excellent detailed instructions.
We do travel to Salida with a rafting trailer which we were able to park at a friends house, but there is not parking big enough for a trailer in the alley and street parking would have to be used. Typically we've found no issue finding trailer parking in town within a block or two of anywhere in town.

We really enjoyed how close it was to everything. Perfect since we had our dog with us. The place was clean. It was a unique place and great to celebrate our anniversary.

Place was nice and clean. Bedrooms are pretty much in the same living area, which wasn’t a problem. Check in and communication with owner was easy. I’d stay here again.

This loft style property is stylish, spacious, and in a great location.
But there were a few quirks. The emails from the property manager were confusing regarding the access code, seemed a code was given early on and then a different code later. Rereading the many emails eventually made things more clear. Upon entering the property we found a partially used bottle of DayQuil on the counter, a bit disconcerting. There were many light bulbs needing replacement. I counted six. The lock on the main entry door started to fall apart and became unusable and we had to secure it with the dead bolt. We used the side door the rest of the time. Communication with the manager about this wasn't easy as she wasn't answering her phone and her voice mail box was full. Then the morning of our departure the cleaning person showed up at 10 even though all the communications we had received clearly stated that check out was at 11. She said that was incorrect and we had to leave.

So we did a few days in the middle of the week and it was fantastic! Low key in town, less people, less commotion. The place is great, funky cool vibe, interesting decorations. They have great taste! It was just the wife and I but many more could stay there. The rooftop is great to have a cocktail in the evening. Overall a great stay!

Excellent location and great communication. Funky and fun loft, well equipped. The board game selection was appreciated and was definitely utilized. The only slight issue was that it was very hot the first night and no AC made for a pretty toasty night. But, there are lots of fans to help with that and if we had thought about it sooner we would have propped the doors open earlier. Would definitely stay again.

This was pretty perfect as a "dog trip" place b/c we could have our 2 labs with us without worry of carpet and with SO much open area. Only downside was, b/c one an older dog, the awesome downtown location next to everything also required we drive to the park area for them to do their biz since we only had alley access. BUT, wouldn't be problem for me to walk the handful of blocks with only the healthier dog. We never used the rooftop since we were always on the go but was definitely a chill spot; entry from outside stairway. Will have to spread the word to my millennial son and pals about what might be a great reunion spot that could certainly accommodate--and the decor reflected--their younger vibe. Host Jackie right there when we had questions, and she was amazing with number of recommendations for restaurants, something that really helped us get acclimated. Just a 2-day visit, but this shorter stay served perfectly as a quick and convenient getaway from our Denver-area routine.

My family and I enjoyed the quirky, creative vibe of the space. The deck is amazing on a sunny day. You’re close to everything downtown Salida has to offer: shops, restaurants, the river walk. Kitchen is well supplied, although work space is limited. Plan for simple, easy meals if you are cooking. The only reason I couldn’t give five stars was due to a mechanical issue, which Jaqueline is resolving asap.

Such a great location in Salida, seriously made it so easy to run, walk, or bike from the apartment. We had a splendid time in this little house. Just a bit tricky to find it but once we found the alley we were good to go!
Can't wait to come again!

Everything was exactly what I was looking for...location and style....

This studio apartment in Salida is right in the middle town. Everything from bars, to shops and restaurants including two grocery stores and the park is easily within walking distance. It also placed us directly between Great Sand Dunes National Park and The Royal Gorge Bridge which were both places we we visited. The only complaint we had was that the lighting left a little bit to be desired and there was no place to put our groceries other than the counter space by the bed. Nevertheless the decor and design made this a very unique place to stay and the location couldn't have been better. Check-in was easy and Jacqueline provided us with all of the necessary info prior to our arrival.

We were blow away by this property. Incredibly clean and inviting. You can park immediately in front of the front door (like 3 feet from front door), and you're in the middle of downtown. You're less than 30 seconds away from the front door of a delicious pizza shop, and everything in town (including the park and riverfront) are within a 2-3 block walk. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be looking to stay here again. Next time hopefully we have time to use the great bikes as well. Can't wait to stay again!

Great studio loft right downtown 1.5 blocks from the river and half a block from the main drag of downtown (F Street). I stayed here solo with my two toddlers, other than just needing to move a few lamps it was a great place to stay with my kiddos. The owner was quick with communicating and check in was easy. Super nice to have a reserved parking spot that was just big enough to park our campervan.

We had a great role staying in Salida! My husband and I both had to work with good internet speed. My daughter hiked daily and we enjoyed yoga nearby. Everything was within walking distance. We would come back again!

This apartment is in a perfect location. It’s in the middle of the downtown area but off a side street so you don’t get the traffic. The apartment is roomy, funky, fun, and Jaqueline was happy to assist us with any questions we had. We are definitely coming back again next year!

This rental has it all! The location was perfect. It is right in the center of town, but also very quiet and cozy. It is more spacious than the pictures make it appear. We enjoyed the fun and eclectic decor. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything you need, and the beds were super comfy. We have stayed in many vacation rentals in Salida, and this is the best one yet!

We loved this place. Awesome Brooklyn Lift feel with great artistic touch and classy construction. We loved that it was tucked in a back alley and hidden from plain sight by a large metal commercial door. Great stay, perfect location, walking distance to everything. We will be back!
